First off, Scheduling an appointment was super easy all I had to do was text him and he responded right away. Another thing that was different about Stan that most other places don't do is he works with your schedule, If you can't come in early he lets you make appointments as late as 8pm (even later for some people). So getting there, the room is super relaxing and dim. The massage bed is heated which feels nice. Stan is super personal and is good with making sure you feel comfortable. Another thing I like is he tells you the purpose of everything he does and how different things benefit me when massaging me. He really goes the extra mile. Whenever my hour is up if he has time before his next appointment he'll give me extra time. (Even offered to give my sister a neck massage) which any other place never does. I found Stan on accident through Groupon, in a desperate attempt to find a masseuse who could undo the permanent knots in my back and rid my body of the feeling of constant inflammation. I honestly did not expect much that first visit, he was the 40-something masseuse and I was starting to think I'd need injections or something to release my back tension!! My first visit with Stan was so soothing and relaxing that I passed out cold on the table. When I awoke, my back knots were gone and my body felt new! Fluke you ask? I've been seeing Stan for several months now (every 2-3 weeks) for pre-natal massage. He comes to my house which is extremely convenient for me ( I have a toddler and so can only see him on Saturdays when daddy is home to watch her). I also love the fact that I don't have to jump in my car and drive home after such a nice massage. After every session I feel so much better, and I really look forward to our sessions. Stan always seems to know what I need even better than I do with switching between working out hard knots to just helping me relax. He's thorough and gentle (but not too gentle when I really need some muscle relief- I've had pre natal massage in the past with my first pregnancy that felt like nothing more than having lotion rubbed on me which provided no relief from the aches and pains of pregnancy). I've gotten quite a few massages and as a triathlete I put my body through a lot and Stan always goes above and beyond and has helped my recovery more than anyone. I haven't been to anyone better than him and always miss his massages when I'm not in Houston. He is so attentive at notices the tight areas and applies just the right amount of pressure to loosen up my muscles and especially my extremely tight hips and quads from hours of cycling. Honestly, if I had not undergone cosmetic surgery and been given the recommendation to seek out post-surgical massage, that would likely still be the case today. I'm a T12 burst fracture with A T.B.I. confined to a wheelchair for 20 year's an been getting massage for 15 of that. I fell an hit me funny bone an it's been hurt for months. I just did a 30 minutes Cupping massage session to fix a very painful back issue going on an it was amazing me back is a little sore but me elbow feels like brand new.
