Came in for a surprise massage gifted by my boys for Mother's Day. Ambiance is always so relaxing, can instantly smell eucalyptus and other soothing scents walking in. Nice soft relaxing music. Front desk staff was polite and helpful, always make sure my paperwork is updated even though that's my least favorite task coming in. This was my first massage with Johanie, She was great, absolutely wonderful. I was booked for the therapeutic massage, i typically get the deep tissue. My massage was so relaxing, probably the most relaxing massage I've had in awhile. Pressure was perfect, stones were a nice touch, and scents used were just right and not triggering for my migraines. The room was dimly lit, relaxing soft music, love that the massage tables are warmed/heated, because I'm always freezing! They weren't able to add on 30 minutes, however, it was a last minute request and it just gives me an excuse to come back soon! Very relaxing experience and treat for Mother's Day weekend. I'm being very generous to give a 3 stars . I came out all frustrated from the massage I got. I want something strong for my back pain. And yes they did tell me they can't do deep tissue for prenatal massage but it will be light to medium pressure. All I felt was gentle rubbing, super super light and my back is hurting so much more just to lay there for an hour. I needed to get some muscle pain release but came out with more pain on the lower back. I saw good reviews from deep tissue massage so I might come back to give it another try when I'm not pregnant thats why I wanted I'm putting a 3 stars here but as for today massage, I am not happy at all and now gotta go home to get my lower back fixed since I feel more pain than prior to coming in read more

The employee were very professional and well trained. They Spa was very nice the set was relaxing. I walked our feel rejuvenated and it's a great help for anyone dealing with stress. The product they have is to work with all types of skin and if you have allergies or allergic reactions to things they make sure to ask you about that before they start on you. I walked in with this insane neck shoulder pain that I've been having for months and I did a 2 hr deep tissue with bruce. I read previous reviews and they said bruce was the one to go to. Went to Hired Hands for a 90 min massage for my birthday with my mom, it was great! Both our therapists Doris and Jackie did an amazing job. Doris made it a complete experience including my head and feet which I really needed. My mom loved Jackie and we were both in bliss town after. The prices are the best and I really love the location. 2 big fails from this spa: #1 - it is LOUD. The house is very, very old and almost all of the massage rooms are on the first floor. It is incredibly difficult to relax on the 1st floor because it sounds like elephants are stomping above you. The floor squeaks so loudly. #2 - Incompetent front office. I have had multiple scheduling issues with them. The last straw was when I booked a deep tissue mothers massage. I had received 3 deep tissue mothers massages but unfortunately my regular therapist left. They told me they would put me with the next best therapist who did deep tissue mothers massages. When I got onto the table, the therapist told me she was not licensed for deep tissue. I need deep tissue on my neck and shoulders and didnt want to pay for anything less than that. I left without a massage. I was out of pocket $60 for a babysitter and an hour and a half of my time (1 hr driving and 30 minutes there). #3 - Poor Customer Service. Instead of trying to make the situation right, management told me the salon probably wasn't a good fit for me and offered to provide the contact info for my former therapist. read more

I went for the first time ever in my life and it was well worth it. The workers there were very nice and greeted you right off the jump. It's very warm and cozy on the inside, granted I went when it was during the winter time. My masseuse was a young lady by the name of Tina and she was phenomenal. Any parts of the body that I needed to be worked on she worked on it. I felt so much better than next day. Can't go wrong with her at all. It was well worth the money spent. I booked a massage as a gift to my boyfriend's mom. When I scheduled the appointment online, I noted that I will be paying for the massage with the card I used to make the reservation and that she shouldn't be charged for it. I called again the day before her scheduled massage to confirm that my card was on file and that I would be charged for the massage instead of her. So why does she tell me after her massage that she was asked to pay? This is definitely not the time to ask her to pay especially when she was under the impression that it would be covered. I called yet again and I was told that my card would be charged and hers would be refunded...there was no apology or empathy on your part. Now we have to wait for her card to be refunded when she shouldn't have had to pay in the first place. I just don't understand why it took three calls to relay the same message...incompetence. read more

When I come home to Texas to visit my mom she always brings me here for a massage or facial. I usually love this place but, over the Holidays i came in for my first prenatal massage, being four months pregnant. They even called us to change our massage time to make sure I got the one prenatal masseuse they have. To my surprise, their prenatal masseuse was a large man, but I didn't want to assume he couldn't understand a pregnant woman's needs so I went along. The massage was painful. He dug his elbows into my back way too hard. He focused on one knot in my shoulders. And didn't touch my legs or feet, which I now know is just about the most important part of a prenatal massage. I had to tell him to massage me not so hard twice. I was just looking forward to the massage ending. I think he applied way too much pressure on my stomach because after leaving I puked. I wasn't going to leave a review since I usually love this place and have a great experience, but I think it's important to pay extra attention to the needs of a woman carrying a child inside her and if you claim someone is a prenatal masseuse, then they need to know what they're doing. I think this man would make an excellent deep tissue masseuse, but I don't think he should be recommended for prenatal massages. read more

Hired Hands is an amazing full-service spa and salon tucked away in Pearland. I found out about it on the recommendation of a friend, and booked one of their signature facials. Highly recommended! Not only is the spa itself adorable, with a reception area filled with great products and décor, but since it is actually a redesigned Victorian-style home, all the rooms are kept separate, which lends a nice sense of privacy to being there. The facial itself was excellent, probably the best I have ever had. Melissa, my esthetician, really takes her time, learns a lot about your skin, and tailors the facial perfectly to your needs. It is an incredibly relaxing experience, and the calm in the building helps lend to your overall experience. I can definitely say that my skin has improved since I started going. I have been back for several more facials since, and plan to try out more of their services in the near future.
