I like the feel of human hands on my skin, so I booked a 50-minute relaxation massage. My massage therapist was very thorough about explaining what she would be doing and why, and also asked me if there was anything that I wanted her to focus on. I just gestured all around my body and said, "Just hit it all. No holds barred," or something like that. I'm a veteran massage-getter, so timidity is not something I deal with in a massage studio. I'm usually like, "Do your thang, girl/guy." My therapist did her thing, and it was a lot more gentle than I'm used to. That might have been her style, or maybe I should have communicated that she could go harder, but it was super gentle, like she was applying lotion on me. I'm a believer that every massage is a good massage (you're getting touched!), so even though it wasn't great, it was still good. They have some nice amenities here, like a relaxing waiting room with red-light masks, snack, drinks and things to read. There is also a steam room that you can visit, if you want. It's a small spa, but it's impeccable and has the kind of services that you would expect from a modern spa.

Corey was my therapist and I couldn't be happier with his work. He was very professional and skilled at his job. I came in with an incredibly tight upper back and neck and left feeling much better. He was able to find all the trouble spots and use the appropriate level of pressure and massage to give me the relief I was looking for. I will request him again and would recommend him to others! The spa itself was very clean and the environment very relaxing, with soft therapy music. I especially appreciate that they don't have a lot of fragrances throughout the spa, though you can request aroma therapy if you'd like.
