Located on the second floor of the Country Club Medical Center. At first I was irritated that I was not seen at the time of my appointment. The door was closed with an "In Session" card hanging out front and I waited. If I have an appointment, I expect to have that time. Vinaya was a little late in starting our session but after the first session I wasn't mad about the wait at all. She takes her time with you and I can respect that and overlook the initial lapse in time. I've seen her several times and it's only happened once. Her office is small but functional. She takes a true holistic approach to colon hydrotherapy and makes it more of a spiritual session rather than mechanical. Vinaya's an older lady. Old school. Concerned for your well being. It's been wonderful working with Vinaya for three sessions, and I plan to have a colon cleansing every season. Yes, she is an older, "old school" practitioner, but you can't tell her age by looking, and she has a wealth of information. She uses colored light therapy, and apparently each color corresponds to a body organ. The first session, she will spend time talking to you to see what your needs are, and tell you a little bit about the procedure and how your colon works. It's a muscle, and the idea is to retrain it to work. In my case, she recommended supplements that you can buy downstairs - good quality Perm-a-vite, enzymes, DHA, and she suggested a castor oil warm pack, which felt wonderful on my tummy. I went to Elliots and bought a bottle of castor oil and a flannel so I can do this pack at home and it's very healing. The first treatment wasn't very productive, but I wasn't discouraged - it takes a long time to get in bad shape with your colon, and I think it just wasn't hydrated. The second session - I was much more comfortable, and just talked with Vinaya and didn't feel weird at all. The third session was very productive and I could just let go, and got a great feeling afterwards - very light, and full of energy. The whites of my eyes are very clear and I have been told I look calm and "what are you doing?" he he. Vinaya's room is small, but that's al that's needed - there is a curtain with a private changing room, and robes and slippers. She will offer a warm blanket, and I always take it, because I like to feel pampered.
