Ordered a tropical arrangement for my wife's 33rd wedding anniversary. I knew that this was a special request so I called well in advance (the Wednesday before the actual anniversary on the 11th). I specifically asked for bird of paradise flowers as well as orchids. I was told by the young lady who took the order that it should be no problem. I had ordered from Rekemeier's in the past so I trusted them to do the right thing. What actually arrived was far from what I expected and certainly not worth the $225 price tag. A couple of yellow orchids and yellow roses that looked shriveled and on their last legs. Lots of greenery "filler" as well. I immediately called to advise them of my dissatisfaction and spoke with the lady who took the original order. She apologized profusely and told me she would speak to the owner and call right back. When I got the call, I was told that the owner gave me "what he had" and couldn't get the bird of paradise that I specifically wanted. He was aware of all this on Friday at which point a call should have been made to me to give me options. No such call was made. Of course my wife told me how happy she was so as not to hurt my feelings. I don't think this business understands the emotional element and consequences of disappointment. They closed their location in Cranford and business has suffered. I'll have to find another florist who cares a little more about repeat customers. BTW I was given a 25% discount on the order as an apology. It's been my experience that a business does not discount unless they have egregiously done wrong. Never again Mr Rekemeier. read more

Ordered flowers for delivery for Mother's Day over the phone and they were very patient, friendly, and accommodating! I gave them the budget I wanted to stay under including delivery fees and taxes and they worked with that super well. I also requested a designer/florist's choice bouquet trusting them and the bouquet turned out to be very pretty. Delivery was very prompt and easy. I'll be using Rekemeier's for my future flower deliveries in the future! I will say one thing... I am disappointed that they're a member of Teleflora. They trick you into their store by offering a free bouquet and then not actually having the specific flowers that are in this bouquet in the store. If they don't make a welcome bouquet out of flowers in their store they should at least write on the coupon to call first as they don't carry these flowers. Really disappointed that I was looking forward to this and drove out of my way when they could have been forthcoming on this coupon and warned they may not have these flowers in. read more

Ordered a bouquet for my sister-in-law's 30th birthday... online ordering was quick and easy and the bouquet was delivered on the correct day. However, I was disappointed with the product that was delivered. I ordered a "forever fuchsia bouquet" and there were no lilies, fuchsia stock, light pink spray roses, pink heather, or eucalyptus. There is a disclaimer when ordering saying some substitutions will be made based on availability, but I definitely think there should be some advance notice that the bouquet is basically going to be completely different from what is ordered. Disappointed I spent so much for pink carnations with a few pink roses. Would not recommend this shop for online gift ordering. read more

This was the most disappointing flower arrangement!! When I called to express my disappointment with the condition of the flowers when they arrived on New Years Eve I was told by the florist that arranged the flowers that "it was the best they could do with what they had". They were very expensive, came in horrible condition and the attitude from the employees was awful. Never again! read more

Again the flowers were lovely but it just wasn't what I expected. I wanted something a little different and special. Baby's breath and ferns just wasn't what I was looking for. Our daughter's wedding took place at Calvary Episcopal Church in Summit, NJ on 19 May and one of the biggest highlights, in the church and the newly-renovated Parish Hall where the reception took place, were the flowers provided by Rekemeier's. From the boutonnieres and bouquets for the wedding party to the displays on the altar and in the church to the arrangements on each table and other places in the Hall, the designs were totally romantic and creative. And, the flowers were lush and so varied within the requested color scheme, and so fresh that we are still enjoying most of them even today at home. The owners have years of experience and were so easy and low-key to work with. The delivery was right on time and waiting for all of us when we arrived at the church.
