Sunnywoods florist was very helpful with a recent order I unfortunately had to sent to a Memorial Service. They made the process quick and easy. The order was place the morning of the service and they had it there on time for a 4:00 start. I told the woman on the phone that the flowers were for a dear tailgate friend and she found a small NYG helmet to include in the arrangement to personalize it. The price was a little steep, but what isn't nowadays. The arrangement was $176 and the helmet was $35. I was okay with the price since this was a day of order placed last minute and included delivery. We were overall very pleased with the arrangement. read more

I feel like it can improve in terms of customer service. I ordered online and usually when you click through the prices of the sizes, the image will change. This image didn't change. I ended up buying the $75 bouquet. It was smaller than expected, so I emailed and they did reply quickly and they were very cordial. The person who replied said that for the $75 bouquet, the stems are a little longer and there may be a couple of extra flowers in there, vs. the $55 bouquet . I don't think it's worth an extra $20 for that, so I wish I had purchased the $55 bouquet. I won't order from them again because I feel like there needs to be more transparency and truth in the ordering process read more

A little over a year ago, I ordered a beautiful vase of flowers for $120, which included delivery, and sent it to my dear friends who had just lost their father. A woman from the shop called and said that she didn't have enough white roses and that she would have to use fewer but that she would add another type of flower to fill in the space. She gave me a slight refund to account for the difference and was very nice, which are the only reasons why this florist gets two stars instead of one. For this reason, I felt a little bad posting this, but I recently had to deliver flowers to another friend and was reminded of this incident, and I think it's important that people know not to trust online photos. I can't get past the fact that the delivered flowers looked so sparse and measly and cheap. The experience made me extremely embarrassed because this is the second time this happened to me with the same family (flower recipients). The first time was with a different florist when my friend lost her mother a year or two before that. I think the problem is when florists use a national website of flower advertisements that don't necessarily reflect what they have in their own store. Then, they don't take time to view the original photo to ensure that the created and delivered product shares a reasonable likeness with it. I wanted my friends to receive a big, full vase of flowers, and while I understand that rose buds eventually open, they were still too sparse and not filled in with other flowers as promised. If I want to deliver flowers again to my friends in this area, I will go with another florist. Because I live far away, I cannot drive there to verify what the flowers look like--if you live in the area, it may be best to drive there, see the bouquet in person, approve it, and then allow it to be shipped. When ordering flowers from out of town, it always feels a little risky. Even though I don't use the national delivery services and always call local, you still don't really know what you're going to get. It was important to me that the flowers I sent last week would be nice, and Sunnywoods was right in the Florham Park, Chatham, Madison, etc. area, so I gave them a call. My experience could not have been better! First of all, I asked for same day delivery and they said, Yes, no problem. We'll have the flowers there this afternoon. Second, Cindy was so incredibly helpful. When I told her the arrangement on their website I had chosen and asked if it was okay (since it was a lower priced one), not only did she NOT try to upsell me in any way, but she assured me that I did not have to spend more money, that it was a lovely arrangement and that both I and the recipient would be perfectly happy. She asked about my sister's favorite colors and told me that they would include as much purple as they could. All would have been fine but then they went above and beyond because when my sister got the arrangement, they had added two gigantic roses -- which weren't even part of the arrangement. My sister said she had never seen such huge, gorgeous, velvety roses in her life and was just beyond thrilled and delighted. She sent me a picture -- and the arrangement was indeed wonderful, very beautiful, very artful, fresh, gorgeous healthy flowers. Just exactly what I would have wanted . . . only more so. I recently ordered three floral arrangements for the funeral of a close relative. The person at the shop was very helpful in selecting the arrangements and made several suggestions. She was very patient with my elderly mother. She was careful to be sure she had the dates and times of the wake. I was expecting a couple of nice arrangements but what I got were absolutely gorgeous! I think our arrangements were the nicest there and several people commented on how lovely they were. The colors and varieties of flowers were perfect combinations. I ordered a corsage one week in advance for a 1pm pickup. When I arrived at 2:15pm, it had not even been started. I was kept waiting 20 minutes, and when the corsage was brought out, all of the baby roses were wide open...on the edge of life and very large. When I commented on this and said I was afraid it would look awful within a short period of time, they replaced some of the roses, which took another 15 minutes. If a florist takes an order for a specific time, it should be ready. Plain and simple. I would not go back. read more

Called on the morning of my wife's 50th b-day. Irene helped me. Wanted red roses plus Calla lilies. She said they didn't have Calla lilies but she would try to get.
