Wonderful atmosphere and Janielle was a fantastic therapist. I've been recommending her to all of my coworkers and friends who live in the area. I don't think you can beat her prices or the quality of massage you'll get. Easy location to find and no worries about parking, even though it's in Ferndale. I love how the office is set up so you can arrive early (something I always do!) and not disturb the clients before you at all. Read the notes on the doors and you're all set! BONUS! Bought a groupon, had some questions and only way to reach them is through the web page messaging system. Then I saw the scheduling service. There are no appointments available two and half months from now. First one being weekdays, longer if you want weekends. I purchased a Groupon for this place in December 2017 as a gift for my girlfriend. Not only did it take them six months (!!!) to finally get her on the schedule, but here we are the day of the appointment, June 2 at 9:00am (9:15 as I write this), and the building is dark, locked, and totally empty. No one here, no one answering our phone calls. Awful customer service, completely unreliable, and almost impossible to contact. I'm not sure if it's because they don't care about Groupon customers or what, but I would absolutely 100% not recommend this place to anyone. 0/5 - just terrible. read more

Horrible that I received a gift certificate for a massage for Christmas but I can not use it. Their days and times are VERY LIMITED. I work for a living and I can't come in during work hours. This place won't last long with unaccomodating hours. Besides, the people that need and can afford massages work for a living. They should be open after 6 AT LEAST 1 day a week! read more

This is my second time getting a massage there. On my first visit I can in with body aches from head to toe. I wasn't sure where the pain and stiffness came from, but I was in bad shape. After my massage my body felt relaxed and pain free. Janielle asked where my areas of concern were and she took her time to work in those areas. The massage room was clean with aromatherapy. I have never experienced such poor service and complete lack of human communication from a massage therapist. I had purchased a Groupon for a 75 minute massage in December 2017. When I tried to schedule a massage on their online system it was backed up until June 2018 and the only appointments left were during work hours so I went into July and scheduled for a Saturday. On the night before my massage I received a message from Janielle cancelling due to a death in the family. I completely understood, was sympathetic and have no problem with that occurring but a month later when I arrived for my rescheduled massage, I was let in the building by a person that wasn't associated with Relax and Release and told to wait in the lobby. There are signs in lobby that say to sign in (no ledger to sign in with) and to be patient and the massage therapist will come to greet you as soon as they are done with current patient. I waited (stupidly) for one hour in the lobby all the while trying to contact Janielle. I also had received text reminders from R&R on the morning of appointment and an email form to fill out two days prior to arriving (which I complied with all). No answers, no communication whatsoever! Mind you that this appointment was during The Dream Cruise which is no picnic getting to their location. Bottom Line: Avoid this unprofessional massage therapist at all costs! Relax and Release should be called Add Some More Stress To Your Life! read more

I bought a Groupon to try out this place. I have recently moved to Ferndale and really need to find a good CMT. Janielle fit the bill. I have had a few massages in the area and this was definitely the best. I like a firm, therapeutic massage which is what I got. Parking here is easy which is a plus in Ferndale/R. Oak area. But after several appointments with Janielle, my husband and I are going to stick with her! Her professionalism is outstanding. She not only tries to make you feel better during your massage but discusses the root cause of pain and nutritional ways to try to help.
