This place is very clean and flexible with bookings although when I went with my friend they didn't have 2 female massage therapists so I had a guy - everything was wonderful and was very attentive and asked if it becomes painful at any point to let them know. "Walk-ins or pre appointment get a discount" too! Open 7 days a week until 10pm!! They have a ton of services: chair massage, reflexology, deep tissue, Swedish, couples, hot stone, lymph, prenatal, trigger, accupressure, sports, cupping... clearly a lot is offered. read more

The massage was great BUT buyer be ware. If you aren't clear about what massage/duration you want they WILL take advantage of this "misunderstanding". After my massage I handed a gift card and then they proceeded to tell me that they gave me the 1hr so I would have to pay extra. When I first came they did not tell me that there was different pricing. In fact they didn't even show me the price menu or welcome me at the desk. Instead they escorted me around the desk so I didn't even see that there were options. Afterwards when I told them that this was their fault for not specifying they proceeded to tell me it was MY fault. They said as the customer, I should have notified them of my gift card upon entry (who does that? I usually wait till check out) and that it's my fault for not knowing there were different types. They then told me that I was the ONLY customer to have this issue... Upon reading reviews I realized this wasn't true. I went back in simply to make them aware that I am onto their scam and then they continued to blame me and threaten to call the police. This isn't about money it's about ethics. I was there for a cupping treatment and it was obvious the person didn't know what she was doing. Then they forgot about me and left me unattended and never checked if the vials were attached. After 20 minutes I was yelling out because they were slipping off my back and crashing to the floor producing broken glass everywhere. Once they heard the breaking glass they came into the room. They never apologized or asked if I was ok. There weren't even any ring marks on my back from the cupping. I will never go back! read more

Damn Right Woohoo this is as good as it gets! THE RELAX CENTER IS AMAZING and BUDGET FRIENDLY!!! I always have a 90 minute (30min feet 1 hour body) and have yet to be disappointed. Me and my parents had a massage there and the service was definitely not up to par. The gentleman performing the massage was told 3 times to increase the pressure of the massage as it was an absolute lazy attempt at a massage. Furthermore, the gentleman had an extremely foul smell to him (i.e. urine on pants). The fact that the front desk lady did not care at all about our complaints was probably the worst part about it. We saw her and the gentleman laughing about the situation as we left. She argued against everything we claimed. I did not want a discount or a freebie but at minimum a genuine apology. I second Gretchen's comment below. I booked a massage via phone, asking for a regular touch. My fiancé arrived before I did and checked in for us, so I assumed that had they asked any questions/confirmed our preferences, he would've handled. They didn't, and I had an extremely rough massage. Every time I asked for lighter touch, it was clear there was a language barrier, and nothing changed. My therapist had a cold and kept sniffing and clearing his throat while very close to my body - in addition, his fingernails were long enough to truly scratch my back. He dropped the stones on the floor at one point, picked them up, and kept rubbing my back. It felt unsanitary, rough, and claustrophobic. Upon exiting, I asked the women at the front desk what type of massage I was booked for, and they said deep tissue. I shared that was inaccurate and that my experience was very rough. She suggested that my fiancé asked for deep tissue on my behalf (which he did not) and dismissed me. My fiancé was equally as unhappy but thought I'd provided the instructions for him too. Summary - poor quality, poor communication skills, inability to troubleshoot during the massage, very basic rubbing. Would not suggest. Spend $20 more and go to Natural Body Brookhaven. read more

I have been here two times in the past three days because it is just as the name suggests....relaxing. I discovered this place a couple of months ago when eating at a restaurant nearby and I love the foot massages here. I always get an hour foot massage and I have never been disappointed. The chairs are big and comfortable. The room is dim with classical music playing. I have learned to make an appointment because on a couple of instances they were super busy and were unable to take me immediately. I just want to take a moment to share my experience at this spa. I called on a Friday and asked if they took Spafinder gift cards, they were very prompt to say yes so I booked an appointment for my friend and I. We were there Saturday at 10:30am. The massage was great but the customer service from the front desk was horrible. When i was getting ready to pay I pulled out my spafinder giftcard only to find out then they didn't take it. I was very upset since the only reason I booked the appointments was because I needed to use this gift card I had gotten from Mother's Day. I also drove an hour to get there, at this point I was very upset but my friend and I kept our cool. When I confronted the lady she said a lot of their employees didn't speak English so they probably didn't know what I was talking about (well... who's fault is that?) I told her I wanted a discount because I thought that was very unfair. She said she could only take $10 off. I asked to speak to her manager but apparently she was out the country. Long story short I was trying to negotiate something with her but she didn't let me speak and proceeded to call the cops. I couldn't believe it !!! (not really a smart move on her end because what are people going to think when 3 cops show up at a spa?) Well I talked to the cops and told him my intentions and that I was not trying to leave without paying and that I just wanted to speak to a manager to work things out but she didn't let me speak. I ended up paying the $50 for the Swedish massage, but was advice by a friend to file a claim with the bank to get my money refunded. Thankfully that worked. My friend and I will not be coming back. Not only because of what happened but because of the lack of sympathy from the front desk lady. She was extremely rude and talked in a foreign language in front so we wouldn't understand. If an employee doesn't speak the language then they shouldn't answer the phone and say "yes" without even understanding was is being asked. We left more stressed than when we got there. read more

Believe the one star reviews! Bad communication and horrible customer service Called in around 4pm on a Monday to ask if there was any chance they had an appointment available for a couples massage. The lady who answered the phone said she would check and let me know. After she gave me an available time I had to verify with my sitter if it was fine and I would call back shortly. It wasn't more than 2 minutes when I called back and took the appointment for 6pm. Never took our information for what type of massage we would want while I was on the phone with her other than a couples massage and prices, meaning we would be accommodated into a room with two tables. While driving there (mind you this was a rainy day and we were coming from far) we kept seeing our gps was going up in time and we would arrive about 5 minutes past 6pm. I tried calling to inform them of our arrival time and it sounded like someone picked up the phone and hung up. We should've taken that as a hint and not even go but we still kept driving even if we got there a little late. Upon arrival there was no "check in" like they did previous times or asking what type of massage we wanted or what gender we preferred. Lady just walked us to our room and said "ok wait here". So we took it upon us to undress and get under the sheets. When the masseuses came in we asked if the people in front let them know what type of massage we wanted. We obviously knew no one had asked us what kind of massage we wanted. The female masseuse massaging my husband just said "yeah yeah" and then they started the massage. So after a while we asked again. When do we let you know what kind of massage we want? All she said or attempted to say was for my husband to put his head in the table hole for the head rest and She began to dig in her hands and elbows on my husband as if he had asked for a Deep tissue Massage. He stopped her to say if this was the massage. She said no we just relaxing you first. Uh, what?!? Who starts a massage with so much pressure. So we asked to speak with someone else someone in charge and who would understand and communicate our needs. The lady that came in spoke a little more English than the masseuse and when we told her no one has asked us what type of massage we wanted and that they were not relaxing us but starting what seemed like a deep tissue massage she told my husband that she had already spoken with me on the phone and that I had told her the types of messages we wanted. At that point she was lying to our faces because obviously no one had asked us when I made the call. All we agreed to was the fact that it would be a couples massage. When I asked her what type of massage I wanted she said couples massage and masseuse will ask later how much pressure we want. That's not the treatment we were used to when this place initially opened up. And we were not first time clients. When we lived in the area we would come here often and would even recommend them to anyone who would ask about a massage place that had great service. Not sure what happened to the previous workers but their service definitely went downhill. Summer, the girl that used to be in the front, had great customer service since the moment she picked up the phone. Her mom as well and the masseuse they had back then as well. When we went to leave they told us we had to pay $30 because they spent 10 minutes "massaging" us in the room. By then it was 6:14pm. There's no way 10 minutes would be spent massaging us since we got there at 6:07pm and still took time to undress, ask them and the "manager" questions and then get dressed again. So we declined to pay and were willing to discuss the issue with law enforcement if they were wanting to go that route. When I told the manager that we were not first time clients and this was not what we were used to she got defensive and said the business was hers. That she was the boss of everyone. So I asked what happened to the girl name Summer she was great and had awesome customer service. She flat out got mad and said she was horrible and wasn't great for her or anyone else. At that point we saw her true colors and just walked out. Obviously the place is ran by an angry Asian lady. She and the lady that took us to the back yelled "Don't come back!" Yeah, we won't ever come back. And will definitely mention this place to others as a horrible place to avoid. read more

I have patronized Relax Center for since they opened. Service for the most part has been fine and at times when it hasn't been, the fact that it is close to my house has made up for it. Once before I received a really bad massage and the owner, Ping, was very kind after I spoke with her. However, this experience was the worst ever. My husband and I arrived at 8:55p for a 9:00 massage. We were immediately taken back, which was great! This is typically the case. After getting settled in our masseuses came in. They were like two school girls chatting after school. My eyes were open for 60% of my massage. I asked several times for more pressure given that I was paying for a deep tissue. She either couldn't give me more pressure or didn't care to do so. At one point she pressed in a an area for 35 seconds without moving (I counted) I open my eyes and coughed to get her attention. She responded by resuming the massage. I kept quiet for the most part bc I didn't want to spoil my husband's massage as I thought he was enjoying his and maybe my experience was just bad. While getting dressed, I learned that his was a 2/10 as well. He shared similar sentiments about the talking (which was rude - as they were actually holding a conversation) and them seemingly being in a rush and disengaged. I politely paid and tipped upon leaving as I am a business owner in a service industry. I also tried to reach out to them to offer feedback but to no avail, hence the feedback here. My experience was far from RELAXing which is unfortunate. I actually booked another massage at another nearby spa the next morning. I'm sad to leave this place as it is so close to me but the inconsistencies are just too much. read more

This place is next level fantastic. I knew I'd like it when the only poor reviews involved people saying there was too much pressure at their massage. Booking was easy, the receptionist was nice and they had an appointment for same day/time. If you're looking for someone to rub lotion on your back and make you feel relaxed, this may not be your spot. If you're in ridiculous physical pain and looking for someone to help you out with that, this IS your spot. I haven't had a massage since I had a baby four months ago, and everything hurt. My massage therapist went above and beyond and worked out all the aches and pains including some pressure point therapy. I came here about 2 months after I had my first child, whole body aching and desperately needing a massage. I was able to take advantage of their 20% grand open special and was very impressed with my experience. I'm normally a big stickler for wanting Chinese massages to be pretty traditional (having had a ton in China proper and just being a huge massage person in general) but surprisingly, I really liked the modifications they made here. I got a 30 min foot 30 min back (what they call a combo massage but isn't listed online for some reason). Both were great, the foot massage being in a dark room with the typical large lounge chairs and then back massage in an individual massage room since they actually have you undress for this (vs. keep your clothes on like so many other Chinese full body / foot combo places). The pressure was good and so was the technique but to my point earlier about actually not minding the non-traditional elements, I liked that they added a foot scrub to the foot massage. I liked that they used hot stones for my back massage. There were some other little frills and modifications and instead of feeling like they were straying from tradition, it felt more like they were thoughtfully adding elements of other styles of massage to the traditional Chinese style to enhance it in a way they thought customers would like. I also liked how quiet, clean and calming the place was. Granted I came when they were pretty new and on a Wednesday but hopefully they're able to maintain the calming environment once they get more busy. I've been to Relax Center about 3-4 times now. I love a good foot massage. I've also checked out about 5 of the other places around town who offer similar services and this place is the best! They're located in a shopping center just south of Town Brookhaven next to a UPS store. They have a few parking spots reserved out front but there's usually ample parking in the lot out front. Inside is very quiet, clean and everything looks brand new. I've never waited in the reception area but it looks comfy and modern. The massage rooms are dimly lit with water features on the walls. Somehow I have only ever been in the 1st room on the left. In this room the chairs are arranged in pairs. Each has a towel covering the back and a soft blanket to cover up with. The restrooms are in the far back of the building and are very clean. I don't think I've ever made a reservation here, but thats because I usually come on a weekday or late on the weekends when its not very busy. Sometimes I'll call ahead to make sure they're not completely booked. I always get the hour foot massage. They bring out a cup of hot tea which is so tasty that I usually end up drinking two cups before I leave. The hour foot massage starts with a soak in warm/hot water and a foot washing. Then for about half the time you're massaged from the knees to toes. Afterwards you get a shoulder/neck/back massage over your clothes. Some places make you flip over on the chair but here you just sit on an ottoman and your back is rubbed while you sit up. They really want to work out your kinks here! Not sure how they do it while I'm sitting but they apply some seriously deep pressure, which I like. Of course they'll adjust the pressure for you. I'd prefer to flip over and just lay on the chair but because of the ambience, comfort and service that I receive here I just deal with it. Just a quick note about the service. I came here on a weekday alone and was 5 minutes into my massage when a group of women arrived and began chatting amongst themselves. I found it disruptive but didn't say anything. No less than a minute later the receptionist asked me if it was too loud and I said yes. She politely asked them to quiet down to which they agreed. I felt like she was reading my mind and I was so thankful for the gesture. I took one star away due to my most recent visit last week on Valentine's Day around 2pm. My masseuse used the same two strokes on my feet and ankle for the entire 30 minutes he rubbed my feet. It was so monotonous and ineffective. I was the opposite of relaxed. He seemed to not know the techniques that the other men have used on my previous visits here. I was slightly annoyed and wanted to ask for someone else but I just dealt with it. He seemed rushed as well and I think he mentioned something about wanting to go smoke a cigarette outside to the person treating my hubby. Then when it was time for me to sit down for my back massage he disappeared and all of a sudden a woman finished the last half of my massage. I was confused as ever but I was thrilled to have her work on me instead of him. I have to start remembering names so I can ask for a certain person next time. Ummmm that was by far the best massage I have ever had. I started with a 30 min foot massage. It's like a theatre type room, low lights, soft music, and a waterfall. They dedicate a full three minutes to every nook and cranny in your foot. I then followed it with a one hour massage. My back has never had so much attention! Towards the last 15 minutes, he stretched my legs and arms, loosened me up, and made sure to relax my muscles. It was marvelous. And all that 30 minute foot massage and one hour Swedish massage just $85 !! I mean you can't beat that anywhere. If I lived here I would for sure be here all the time. read more

I get messages about once a month and have for years. I have been to some top spas and still the massage I got from Cici was the best by far. I have been visiting this place since the day open. There are three things I would like to review this place. First of all, booking and pricing, I am not sure if there any other way to book the appointment but normally I can call them to book. They offer a recurring customer program by check-in with their tablet by entering your phone number. You will get a complimentary 1-hour massage every 10 times visiting. It's a pretty good deal Second, location: this place located right next to the UPS store near Marta train station. Parking is plenty and this place is super clean, relaxing and the staff is friendly. The massage rooms are dimly lit, and best of all - the rooms seem soundproof (some massage places are notorious for not investing in good noise proofing). Finally, the massage therapists, you have a ton of therapists to choose from. I had a massage session with Yuki and she was pretty good. I felt pretty comfortable with the therapist's technique. I felt like Yuki knew what she was doing and the neck and shoulders massage session was great. She asked me about the pressure she applied, not a lot of talking and she worked on areas that had bad knots. After my session, I was sore for a few days but my mobility was a lot better. read more
