For the price, it was clean, beds comfortable and the room size was perfect. No extra frills but just what we needed for a couple of days of bike riding. Close to all we needed including a nice library for internet which they don't have. The staff was friendly and helpful. Mostly quiet and good a/c. read more

OMG!! There has to be a dead hooker in wall the stench in our room was unimaginable. It was the stench one would imagine of warmed and rotting corpses. We should have taken the scented things the lady at the front desk was offering, but the office was over scented and one does not expect that intensity of fetid stench. The outside was freshly painted giving effective camouflage to what lie within. The carpet was terrifying. The beds so old and dilapidated. The smell actually kept us up most of the night and we got out ASAP in the morning. Worst of all my face actually touched this pillow... I feel dirty thinking about it. read more

Relax Inn is the WORST motel I've stayed at in a while. My experience with them was downright terrible. When I got there, I went into find out about a vacancy and this dude came in and acted kinda like a jerk and asked me very shortly how many there were in my party, which I told him (me, my bf and my son) he then proceed to yell at someone in the back repeatedly and finally came up to the desk and asked me twice did I have a pet, which I said no - by this point, I was like okay, I just want to get the room and get out of here. He then looked at my ID - Twice, with narrowing eyes and checked my bank card and then handed me my ID and said, "Your card's going to be charged 77.87." I looked at him and raised my eyebrow and said, "Wow, that's kind of steep. I just stayed on the coast in a room with two beds for only $72." And he said "well it's for the two adults plus the taxes and fees for the room and the total comes to that." I was like okay, and let him charge the card. I got the keycard and walked out and was starting to get our bags out and this dude comes out of his room and goes, "What yall doing out here? You got a reason to be here?" and my boyfriend was like, "We just rented a room, were getting our stuff and then going to our room." And the dude goes, "Yeah, we get a lot of people in and out of here" and walked off. My boyfriend then said for us to hurry up because of the way the guy acted and then we went to our room. When we finally got inside, we discovered that the WIFI they say they have doesn't work at all, and we weren't given any sort of passwords to their closed network, even though they had two supposedly open networks that wouldn't open. This made working impossible while there. So we decided to take showers and discovered the water wouldn't get warm AT ALL. So, we got out of the shower and decided to try to chill and watch some of the free cable - only to discover the channels were fuzzy and kept going in and out. Finally, I was tired and not impressed with the room and all of its supposed "amenities." It was at this point, I woke up in the middle of the night because I was thirsty and opened a drink, which was quickly covered in the residential ants that appeared within five minutes and consumed the thing. This resulted in me throwing the whole thing away due to the infestation on my nightstand. Later, my boyfriend kept being woken up by the people upstairs who were apparently either having a party or allowing toddlers to trample through the room ALL night long. Nothing worked, the entire ordeal was a one and done deal for me because I will never stay at this place - the Relax Inn? More like the Reactionary Inn.... Not even one star is worth this place, if I could negatively rate it, then I'd rate it -10. read more

Comfortable. Cheap. Clean. On the last leg of a road trip, was astounded to find everything in the Salem/Eugene area had price tags of close to $100 per night. Even the shadiest Motel 6. I rolled on and saw the faded Relax Inn sign at a freeway exit sign a bit past Eugene. It's off the beaten path, the last motel on "motel row" in Cottage Grove (I think there's 3?). *WARNING! THE MANAGERS MIGHT JUST STEAL YOUR DEPOSIT!* My fiancé and I had the misfortune of being stuck here for nearly a month. The couple who manage, Clint and Andrea, are the rudest, most unprofessional example of motel management I've ever seen. At first we thought they were nice....We have two kitties that they said they would allow, even though the owners didn't allow pets. We appreciated that. Things quickly turned sour, however, when we received a phone call from the office one day. It was Andrea, and she proceeded to tell us in an accusatory manner that her husband had made a mistake and didn't charge us for a night. Not only did she make that our fault, but we ended up having to pay it because we literally had no other place to go, nor any way to get there. This was after Andrea actually came and pounded on our door, literally screaming outside our door for us to "open up"! I realized we were obviously dealing with an imbalanced person. We did our best to just keep to ourselves from there on, but they seemed determined to have a problem with us from the get go. We asked for clean towels and were told no, we had to wait for our original towels to be washed, dried and returned to us! We bought our own toilet paper just to avoid having to ask them for anything. We had no phones for most of our stay and had to use the room phone, which wasn't able to be dialed direct. The calls had to be routed through the office, and we were told to keep the calls to a minimum and no calls after 10PM! On more than one occasion, our friends told us that they were told by someone at the front desk that no one was in our room. The room was dirty and stunk of cigarette smoke and mold. We diffused essential oils and burned incense to no avail. The walls had patches of black mold. The bed had BEDBUGS and had a huge crater on one side and a piece of wire from a spring or something was poking through the mattress! The WiFi was slow- that is when you could get connected at all. There was little light, the toilet overflowed, and there were no plugins in the bathroom whatsoever. The bathroom also lacked a heater and it was cold, especially in the mornings! There was no counter space or any place at all to put your clothes and toiletries for after shower. But... here's the icing on the cake. We paid $100 cash deposit at the beginning of our stay and we were told (by them) that it would be returned to us as long as no damage was done to the room. Fair enough, I thought, because I knew we would of course not cause any damage. However, it was obvious that Andrea had her mind already made up, and she was going to find some bogus reason to keep our $100, because that's exactly what she did. When my fiancé went to the office to check out and get our $100 back, she told him that they didn't have our $100...that the owner had come and had taken the money and that they would have to "get it to us in a few days"! I decided I would take this issue up with the owners as opposed to wasting my time talking with her about it. I also didn't want to risk losing my temper, as my patience was wearing thin after dealing with several various issues at the time. But as we were leaving, she came to our car window (without a face covering, mind you, during a high Covid infection time) and told us that they would not be returning our $100 deposit-- get this-- because we didn't clean our room! I reminded her that it was actually their job to clean the room, and that her husband had even made a point to tell us they would look for DAMAGES, which we most definitely did not cause. So, as of now it remains to be seen how this will be dealt with. I don't look forward to it, but I can't (and won't) let them get away with this. This was a vicious, premeditated act on her part; and as I said, it was quite clear that she had no intention of returning our money. Ultimately, she ended up threatening me, yelling at me for the whole place to hear saying she could "snap me like a twig" (LOL)... So much for diplomacy! PS-They also don't recycle or allow any way to do so! read more

It is hard to know what to say about this place I guess if you want to save some money their prices are very reasonable on the other hand, it is far from luxury accommodation. My room was clean but had a kind of strong aroma of something and apparently they had tried to use a cheap fragrance to cover up some unpleasant smell. So I guess if you wanted to save some money it is a decent place to spend the night. But you might want to check out your room before you make a final decision about staying here read more

My family and I broke down around midnight on our move from California to Washington. We were running low on funds, the car needed to be put in the shop, but we got it towed and we were taken to this hotel. The lady at the front desk was very nice, worked with us a bit on the pricing. We booked a non smoking room because of our toddler. We get inside our room and the nicest thing I could say, was everything was where I would expect it to be. However the most ridiculous problem I had, was when I looked through the night stand and found a meth pipe wrapped up in a bandana, what looked like a tweakers hand written notes, and a paper with said man's social security card and driver's license on it. I went to turn it all in, and she moved us to a different room. That room was a tad more nice, however in the morning my son walked up to his mom with a bra in his hands, that wasn't hers. They agreed to let us stay past the check out time to compensate for finding a meth pipe, which allowed us to not be wandering around the street while we waited for our car to be fixed. But the fact remains, there should never be a meth pipe in a hotel, that a maid clearly had cleaned and made the beds. read more

Stayed for one night on a road trip. These guys are cheap, the room was clean, and they accept pets (well, a cat) for only $5 extra. Convenient check in and friendly hosts too. The towels are a bit small but that's no big deal. read more

Made reservations over the phone. I was told there was semi truck parking. My husband called to double check and they told him there was, but he got there and there was no truck parking. He almost took out a fire hydrant and a street light just trying to get out of there. He said it looked like a whole bunch of tweakers were hanging out. This hotel and room was small but it does the job for a quick over night stay. Our first room smelled because they had painted it a few weeks before. They moved us to another room that was much better. The beds we comfortable enough. The T.V. had static but the channels were visible. The internet worked and that was a plus. read more

Just checked in after driving all day. Small room but reasonably clean. The lady at the front desk is a genuinely kind person. Offered to make me coffee in the morning, just a warm kind person. Don't stay here unless you don't mind bad smells loud barking dogs and wifi that doesn't work. when I asked to switch rooms due to the barking dog that was in another room the manager stared me down with a crazed look in his eyes and ignored my request. read more

We needed a reasonable priced room for one night so we could attend a wedding (we were from out of town). This fit perfectly. Nothing fancy but had the basics and that's all we needed. Was thrilled that they had a vacancy on such short notice not to mention they were very accommodating. read more
