I had the WORST experience here. I will tell the entire…read morestory. First I want to say thank you, to the assistant/receptionist, Angela. She is the sweetest, most kind hearted lady I've met in a medical type office. If she had not been there that day I would have been worse off. She took the time to make me feel better, explain things to me, and overall be secretly an angel. So I go in, the chiro Mr. Davis seems like a fun man. Makes some snarky jokes, I can handle it. The consultation doesn't last long. He asks me nothing about my health, diet, exercise, history... Looking at my x-rays and he tells me I have been in an auto accident. I tell him I've never been in a wreck before. So, he tells me, "Well you're lying." Why would I lie about that? Red Flag 1. He goes over what will need to be done. Then we head to the adjustment. I tell them that I'm already nervous because I've never done this. (being touched by strangers, massage, chiro etc). But.. It doesn't really matter. He popped my back really fast & didn't tell me what was gonna happen, and it was kind of scary. So, I did start crying. I let them know again, I'm a little uncomfortable. They're like okay, you need to relax. He then says he could not adjust my neck because, and I quote, "Look at her she's super scared." But he isn't even talking to me, he is talking to his assistant. The worst is next. Now as I explained earlier I was not asked about any of my history. I am a 5'5" female who weighs 140lbs. He asks if I exercise, I tell him "Not as much anymore." Then he goes off on a tangent about how, "I have too much weight on my hips, I cannot afford to gain any more", he then tells me to "get my lazy butt up and walk more" I walk every day already with my dogs. 30 minutes daily. He also tells me I need to stay away from sugars, sodas, bad foods bc they're not helping me. I only drink water & coffee due to kidney stones, I eat low sugar GF due to some other issues. I tried to tell him about my diet & exercise routines but I kept getting cut off. I tell him I will start walking more with my dogs too bc they will enjoy it. He says "poor dogs". Idy why. Because my dogs are small? Not once did he ask me about what I already do health wise. He might have also known that I used to have a very bad eating disorder. So to be told, that I was chunky & needed to eat better & walk more was absolutely devastating. Then he room bc he was done for the day. His assistant made me feel a lot better because I did start to cry a bit. She told me, "The only reason he said those things was because of your spine." Bc thankfully she has eyes, & she did notice that I did NOT enjoy being mentally berated. Apparently he is like this with a lot of clients. I knew his bedside manners were not great, but I did NOT expect this. Absolutely horrifies me, bc if he called me chunky & lazy, I can't magine what he says to others. I cancelled my next appointment. My back felt better this week than it has in a while. But NOT worth it.

At one point I was thinking amputating my legs that's how annoying the pain was. The paresthesia would wake me up at nights and it was almost impossible to fall asleep at nights because the pain was worst when I lay down. It was delicious! I then visited her at her office for counseling and learned of her other interest such as acupuncture and biofeedback. I did my own research on energy therapies. They sounded promising and so I took the plunge! I was not disappointed. I had three biofeedback sessions. I have to say that I just felt relaxed as never before; almost a "cleansing" effect. Less brain fog and probably was a more pleasant person to be around! At least for a few days! It was subtle. Again, I revisited this therapy and really did some "deep-cleaning" of the soul. It was a bit disturbing as some past, painful events came to the surface. Christine reminded me that this happens sometimes. Taking an Epson's salt soak helps to purge the negative effects of this energy. I noticed that I continued to release old memories that were less than pleasant. Eventually the intensity dissipated. A work in progress! It took a lot of years of experiencing life to be where I am today. Some moments wonderful, some challenging and some best to let go of. Bright fluorescent light shining down, no sheets or blankets to cover you, although they did provide a small robe to cover my upper body to keep me warmer. I could hear conversations with other patients and with staff, so it was impossible to really relax. Nothing like any other treatment rooms I have been in. The rating would be even lower, but he is very good with the needles. Not even a hint of discomfort when the needles were inserted. I did not have a chiropractic adjustment as he does not us an activator and does not have automatic beds.
