It causes unimaginable pain when pressure is asserted on my legs and lower back. The person that gave me the coupon had no idea about my situation. When I went in for my appointment they said it will probably take up about an hour to an hour and a half of my time because they do not rush into any of the treatments. I was fine with that as I needed a little while to relax and settle into the process. There is a warm and quiet atmosphere as soon as you walk into the foyer. This is an old house converted into a business. It has a pretty stone exterior and wood flooring inside. I was shown into a room and told to undress to my 'comfort level' and put the fluffy robe on. I was then taken upstairs to a steam room. I had a choice of vapors, one that relaxes and one that opens the sinuses. I chose the eucalyptus to open my sinuses in hopes it would improve my headaches. The steam had completely relaxed me and probably lasted half an hour (no watch or wall clock), long enough to almost put me to sleep. A light tap on the door with instructions of 'when you are ready to come downstairs' to do so. I did take my time, only because my muscles were already so relaxed I was wobbly and didn't want to take a tumble down the stairs. I was ushered into a massage room downstairs and covered with a hot sheet. I was left alone in this room for several minutes to just relax, enjoy the music and warm sheet. When the therapist returned she asked if I want a deep massage and I assured I didn't and would appreciate it greatly if she would be as light as possible and still do an effective job. She understood and proceeded with oil and asked about the pressure. Once we were on the same page I just relaxed and let go. It was a very thorough massage from several minutes on the scalp to in between the toes. I am so glad that my first massage experience was here and with these people. This day made me fall in love with massage therapy. I was to go to work in about 2 hours and I hated the thought of having to leave the house and ruin that wonderful relaxed mode I was in. I've probably had 40+ massages over the years, and I can honestly say this was the best massage I've ever had. I always book deep tissue massages, and Mike is incredibly skilled at this type of massage. He knew exactly what he was doing, worked out the tension, and made the entire experience outstanding. If you're looking for a great deep tissue massage, I highly recommend Mike! After my massage, I asked if they happened to have someone available for a haircut, and Jay was able to get me in. I believe he specializes in men's haircuts, and I think this may be the best haircut I've ever had as well. Jay did an incredible job and really took the time to get everything just right. I'm visiting a friend here in Jackson but live in Birmingham, so I wasn't expecting to find a place I'd be eager to return to this quickly. But when I'm back in Jackson in a couple of weeks, I'll absolutely be booking another massage at Spa Vita. Highly recommend Spa Vita, Mike, and Jay. I had a great experience!

Ashley did my massage and was wonderful. Chloe took care of Makayla, and Jerrica did Madi's massage. All three of us agreed that our massages were excellent, and we would absolutely recommend each of them. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five was an issue with the complimentary sauna. When we scheduled our appointments, and again when we arrived, we were specifically told we could use the sauna after our massages. We were really looking forward to relaxing there together afterward, but when we finished, we discovered it had already been shut down. We were told the manager had turned it off so the spa could close about an hour early. That was disappointing, especially since we had confirmed twice that we would be able to use it after our appointments. Aside from that, we had a wonderful experience. The spa was lovely, the atmosphere was relaxing, and Ashley, Chloe, and Jerrica were all fantastic. We would definitely return for massages if we're back in Dickson!
