I'm honestly at a loss for words--except that my family's experience at Ascension Saint Thomas…read moreUrgent Care in Tullahoma deserves every bit of criticism! My son's been sick for weeks, and when we arrived, NP Kellie Marsh seemed as interested as a cat at a dog show. I explained his persistent cough, green-yellow phlegm, and a mysterious white postule on his throat, only to have her brush it off like it was nothing more than a bad hair day. When I asked her to check his ears (because apparently, you have to teach some folks basic doctoring skills), she admitted she couldn't even see clearly in his mouth. Then came the icing on this very bitter cake: the receptionist. Instead of helping update a sick note for a child who needs round-the-clock care, she decided to play medical bureaucrat--scrutinizing our paperwork like she was grading a pop quiz and outright refusing our request. It was like watching a pissing contest where the stakes were my child's health! We ended up having to endure a showdown with Kellie that sent our blood pressure soaring (and not in a good way!). It felt like the staff were more interested in arguing than actually caring. To add insult to injury, this isn't even the first time we've faced such unprofessional, dismissive behavior. A previous visit with DIANNE, NP--complete with a "Claritin is as useless as tits on a turtle" comment--left us feeling humiliated and ignored. In summary: if you're looking for compassionate care and common sense, steer clear of this urgent care. They seem to be running a competition for the worst bedside manner rather than actually treating patients. Save your time, your money, and most importantly--your health.

The provider I had seen that night was truly kind, very knowledgeable he did not rush me at all in any way took the time to hear me out. I was very pleased I spent maybe just under 2hrs if that there and that's including me filling out new patient paperwork while the receptionist was dealing with a difficult patient at the time.

It seems that your Dermatologist feels that there's an appropriate and an inappropriate way to react... After I was told, the potential treatments outlined by my dermatologist include surgery that will result in scarring and an alternative treatment involving a topical cream that may cause discomfort and aesthetic issues and might not give a result of total cancer removal. Along with being a longer treatment and healing time. Given the considerable distance I must travel for consultations, which amounts to 58.8 miles round trip, and the financial strain of fuel costs at nearly $4 per gallon on my fixed disability income of $994 per month, I find the requirement for additional visits prior to surgery to be burdensome. And given the shock of being told that I have skin cancer.... And the fact that other branches that you own all claim the same services that are provided only to find you do not provide them in Fayetteville or at all branches... And instead of rotating doctors or having the doctors come to these branches. And also just passing the person around like a item and making the already feel less of a human because they do not have access locally. You make the patient who already has problems that wouldn't be seen any of you unless they actually had a problem. Travel all over the world does that sound proper? And I do have other physical issues and issues as to where I honestly do not enjoy or I do have issues taking long trips or drives and I really need to stay close to home. Both driving and being a passenger. And even though I made mention of a boyfriend... I really truthfully and honestly do not have anyone at all... Yes he does help when he can but he is human and has a life outside of helping me or being responsible for me. Notably, I had to travel from Fayetteville to Tullahoma for care after being referred by the health department, and your fayetteville branch only to be informed that a consultation was necessary before proceeding with the surgery that had been previously discussed. Along with being passed to an other company or organization all together... Considering the urgency of my condition, which has been ongoing for approximately four years, I expressed frustration at the prospect of further delays and additional travel. In my view, it would be reasonable to expedite the treatment process given the confirmed diagnosis of skin cancer. Unfortunately, I felt that the dermatologist's approach lacked empathy and failed to acknowledge the significant challenges I am facing in managing my care. I need the referral to be put in and I need to get this done. And over with... Treated like human and understood not just passed around and thrown around... And have the Attitude of when it's convenient to us or we do not do this even if we claim we are urgent care or have the doctors and or provide the service.. And I'm sorry, I am a smart human being. I might have misunderstood or whatever but I don't think this was me. I think this is just over all way of the world is today and it's not cool. Just a few years ago, you go to the doctor they diagnose you and next thing you know, you were in the surgery room and it was all over not past around like a basketball... Gary M

I needed to get checked for a possible Umbilical Hernia. I tried the Urgent care and was told at the front counter that they do not test or check for hernias. I asked for a recommended doctor in town and was told just to go to the hospital. Well, I went to the hospital and got a confirmation that I do have a Umbilical Hernia. My complaint is that I was there approximately 30 minutes. 10 to 15 minutes was spent with a Doctor asking me the same questions the Nurse who took my vitals asked. He then pressed his finger into my protruding belly button to confirm that I do have a hernia. I had to wait another 10 to 15 minutes to get my paper work and my insurance card back. Cost of ER was $1,167 and the cost for a 10 to 15 minute visit with the ER Doctor was $309. Don't be a fool like me and get scammed by these outrages prices and get yourself a Primary Care Doctor. I will not use this hospital for my surgery.
