I have been with Reliable Respiratory for a little over 8 years. My first machine worked great for six years when I knocked it off of the nightstand and the motor instantly got loud. I had the machine for enough years for the insurance to pay for a new one. My second one was a little bit noisier than the first right from the start but I kept it. Probably should have exchanged it then and there. After a little over two years it got very noisy. Turned out I was about 2 weeks past the warranty and was told that Resmed would not honor the warranty. Chelsea at Reliable was incredibly professional and they sold me a new machine for half price. She had sent my machine to Resmed to see if they could repair it and they sent back a report with a bunch of stuff wrong with it that in my opinion should not have worn out in just 2 years. So I am not real happy with Resmed but Reliable Respiratory had my back. read more

My husband had the worst experience with this company, the mask they sent him was not working, he would use it all night but the cpap machine would say it was used an hour, The company left 2 vm's along the way but you could not understand a word of it, it was so low and garbled not even a word, I reached out to my sleep doctor and they had reliable call me a few days later, let them know about the mask and they agreed to send me a new mask, they called a few hours later to say they changed their minds and they would no longer send him a new mask and wanted the cpap back. They basically gave him a useless mask and would not work with me to get it replaced, they use the compliance usage as an excuse to deny another mask. This is really just an aggressive telemarketing organization. They constantly call me trying to get me to order the maximum amount of supplies that my insurance will allow. The existing supplies work fine, because I take care of them and wash them regularly. Despite numerous requests to stop bombarding me with these unnecessary sales calls, they still do it. I just block them but they still leave voicemails for me to delete. When I started I had questions, but their customer service never had any answers other than ask your provider. Beyond that, whenever yo do order it takes them a month or more to get them to you. They must be sitting at a desk somewhere, never touching the product, and just drop shipping it from China or similar. read more

This organization seems to put a complete focus on making money while screwing its customers. For years now, they have been shortchanging me on consumables that I'm required to have to complete my treatment. They knowingly and deliberately ship orders that that are missing key elements. These are supposed to be covered by my insurance when I call them to let them know that they're missing. They try to charge me for replacements. They are a nightmare to do business with. Horrible. The CPAP machine did not work for me. They claim to have a 30 day return policy. I returned the machine in person to their office and they said no problem we'll get this processed. After a month of nothing, I called back and the rep said it hadn't been looked at, said he would take care of it. After another month of nothing, I called again and the rep said he would have to refer it to someone to have the machine reviewed to see what they could do. Run away from this company, as far as you can. Update: after posting a bad Yelp review they processed my refund in a matter of minutes. Still not happy that I had to chase them several times to get them to follow through, but at least they did what they were supposed to do once a light was shone on the situation. read more

The respiratory therapists and support staff are pleasant and skilled. The reorder portal is convenient. They were competent in resolving a complicated insurance issue, which is more than I can say for a lot of the folks at the hospitals. However, this is yet another healthcare provider that lacks basic understanding of disabled folks. The person who uses the service has repeatedly asked them to notate that they can't do voice calls and to contact them via e-mail. They still get frequent e-mails and texts saying they must call. These sometimes come from no-reply addresses or text portals. Is it that hard to just notate what communication method people use and reference this before trying to contact them? Honestly, every contact from every business should have options for responding via e-mail, because a whole lot of people can't make a confidential call during business hours due to work or parenting or whatnot. Why are we doing default-to-phone-call in 2025? read more

After posting a tough review of this Company they contacted me . A very professional person named Adam explained why and where things went horribly wrong . We were able to come to a understanding that we both felt was fair . Adam took the time to save the account and keep me as a customer . I enjoy this kind of professionalism and it tells me that this company is on the ball and cares about it's customers ! So in hind sight , Adam revived an account that was over in my mind . They need to rename this business "Unreliable Respiratory". After many years of satisfactory service, they really missed the mark. I placed an order with the rep over the phone, then a) one item was missing b) I called them back and they apologized, saying they'd send it along c) they didn't, and instead sent me a supply of things that I had never in my life seen before. d) I called them back, and they apologized, and said that since the missing piece was in their local storage, I'd have in a day e) the day went by, and nothing arrived f) after some more days, it finally did. I am a new CPAP user and selected Reliable Respiratory to provide my CPAP and supplies. The technician that set me up at home was great. No complaints there. I started my therapy with a size meduim full face mask cushion. When I was sent replacement cushions, they were size large. I called the office and was told by the rep. that I should open one of the three to try it to see if I would like it. I did that and it was just too large. The rep. said she would send me a variety pack of 1 small, 1 medium and 1 large so I could try the three different sizes. I actually like the small size so I called today to request a return of the three original large cushions in exchange for three small cushions. I was told by the rep today as well as a manager that I could not exchange the large cushion that I had opened, only the two that are unopened. So, I am paying for the one I opened even though it was the wrong size to begin with. This is poor customer service, as this was not my fault, and I was told to open it to try it out. I am not feeling good about my choice to use Reliable Respiratory, and am considering taking my business elsewhere. read more

I see all these bad reviews on here and I don't know what these guys are smoking, But these people have been nothing but Awesome to me I have been using them for 3 years now all my supplies are delivered to my door Easy to use website with monitoring I can check every day to see my progress, ordering is easy just log in click and order they let you know when you need supplies they have a app but I don't like using apps, been with them for about 3 years had a problem with my CPaP machine the Data transfer went out they replaced it at no cost with a refurbished then that one started acting funny then they gave me a brand new machine not refurbished a few month later no cost to me or my insurance these people worked extremely hard to make sure that I had everything I needed they went beyond what I was expecting answered all my emails they called me like 10 times I am amazed by their customer service all of them were very nice that I spoke to I will be using them till I die It really sucks having to sleep with a mask tied to your face every night I don't think you ever really get used to it and it's for the rest of your life but they seem to have understood my frustrations I just can't say enough to how grateful and amazed on how much these people have done to help ... Reliable Respiratory could have the worst customer service of any firm I have encountered in my 72 years on this planet. Today I called seven times, attempting to return their call to me. After hearing the menu, I pressed a key--any key; it does not matter--the menu would replay from the start. When I eventually got through, the receptionist literally didn't know how to operate her phone system. They will not / cannot answer the simplest question, saying someone will call back--and then no one does. Their autodialing system calls you up, gives garbled messages, and tells you to call back--only to be answered by yet another machine. It is maddening. Sometimes, they go by different names--what kind of legitimate company does that? I know that the entire field is suspect--but Reliable Repiratory, or whatever they're calling themselves today--is the worst of the worst. read more

I've been forced to use Reliable for my CPAP supplies for years, and they always delay the process of getting new supplies even though I'm entitled to them and desperately in need of clean tubing/masks. For instance, I called on August 1st because I was eligible on August 4th, and I still haven't received my new supplies on August 18th. I have insurance, a doctor, and called in advance, why should I have to suffer with dirty supplies because of their incompetence? I miss the days when I could get my supplies directly from the durable medical equipment department of the hospital before some jerk decided to make extra money off of sick people. I like the Libre 3, but am a bit ticked off at Reliable Respiratory, the supplier I have now, but will soon be leaving. I was sold an over-priced meter that is useless. Medicare was charged $264.25 and I had to pay $164.98 myself. There's an APP that does the same thing as the meter. More actually, and it's FREE. It's the App OR the meter. You can't use BOTH. So that was a waste of $160.00. Reliable also Charges my Medicare $784.92 for 6 Libre 3 sensors, and I end up having to pay $156.98. That averages out to $130.82 per sensor. If you shop around you can EASILY find sensors for under $90.00. THIS Company is price gouging and one of the reasons why medical insurance is going so high!!! read more

Customer service for explanation of charges has been mediocre. However what really ticked me off today was that I went to re-order supplies on their website, and nowhere were any of the prices of the supplies listed. I thought that maybe after I clicked "Place Order", it would summarize the prices and total cost for the order and ask me for my credit card number, but it just said "Thank you for your order" or something to that effect. So now I don't know how much I just paid, or which credit card it was charged to. I realize they have a credit card on file for me, but what if I wanted to use my FSA Debit Card instead? This seems very shady to me at a minimum, and perhaps illegal, to process a credit card payment without first confirming the total cost or even asking the customer to select the card to charge it to. Service and once a month delivery is not sufficient or RELIABLE !!! How do they expect an active person to rely on 10 tanks a month??? Not everybody on oxygen is just laying around!!! What about appointments that are an hour plus away from home?? My sister has only two tanks (out of 10) left after a week and a half. I had to drive almost two hours away to pick up 7 more that may not last until their one a month delivery date!!!! read more

The absolute worst provider we encountered in my recently departed husband's journey with COPD. We had power outages and called for help with oxygen and were told they are not an emergency provider. Incredibly rude and zero compassion. Other times when supplies running low my oxygen dependent husband was told to come to Norwood if he was running out as they wouldn't be in our area soon. My insurance company used Reliable Respiratory to source a Resmed CPAP device for me. I was able to wear the mask without issues even falling asleep fairly quickly but would wake up every time because of air being forced out my mouth while wearing the mask. I communicated this issue to RR many times but unfortunately their staff don't seem to properly understand the equipment they provide enough to understand that my issue was anatomical and that I was not a good candidate for a CPAP machine. Months were wasted before returning the equipment due to their lack of knowledge resulting in a massive unnecessary bill. This additional cost could/should have been avoided if RR understood their product better. I can't recommend their service if they don't have adequate knowledge for how it works. read more

I am so impressed by this company. I had a sleep study and my primary care doctor recommended I get a CPAP. I googled companies near where I live. I showed up at this office, not knowing what the procedure is to order one. It was so easy to give my Blue Cross information, my primary care's name, and they contacted her to get the referral and copy of the sleep study results. I also emailed my primary care to let her know the fax number and what was needed. Within one day I heard back from this company and I needed to sign a release of information online and I was all set. UPS delivered. My CPAP machine the following day. It was seamless and I can't say enough about the service. I highly recommend this company. read more

They are focused on maximizing their profit, at the expense of patients When taking my wife to their so-called therapist to be fitted with a CPAP, they had ZERO interest in her questions or concerns. Their focus was getting her out the door as fast as possible. They make frequent automated calls, with an 'important message' and you need to call them ASAP. They are supplying life-support equipment, and this kind of call can cause a patient to be very concerned. My nebulizer tube and mouth piece weren't working and my breathing was awful. I put in a call for a replacement and within two days I had new tubes and mouth piece and a back up package also. Very upset with this experience. I was referred here because of the location and confirmed the Springfield location with the representative. Then there was a delay for my insurance approval, it has taken 2 weeks to get resolved. When I called back finally to check on the status, they said they did not even put in my order to insurance yet!! Finally I received the email that I could place the order and I called again, they said there was a mix up and they were still waiting. Another week went by (going on week 3) and I got a call to schedule my order. I confirmed my details and then the representative told me there is not a local location in Springfield, even though it is confirmed on google and confirmed from them when I first spoke to them. That is why I chose this location, because it is right across the street from me. I would never suggest using them. Like some companies, they're fine UNTIL you have an issue. Then, watch out. Customer service and customer satisfaction isn't a priority, even with a business relationship that goes back over 15 years. They don't listen. They billed the wrong insurance company after being told changes were coming and 'please contact me' if a claim didn't go through. They didn't. Instead, they resurrected a charge card they hadn't used for over TWO YEARS. I didn't know they used that card until I researched a no interest purchase on that card was off-track to be paid off on time. Wow. I escalated to the billing manager. What a waste of time. She couldn't follow simple instructions either on the call back and stubbornly refused to accept responsibility for this error. Did they fix it right away? It's weeks later. RR sent me CPAP machine, mask & hose. I had 90 days to comply for Medicare to pay. First 60 days I hated it and used it erratically not complying for Medicare payment. At MD's follow-up requirement, nurse called RR and said I needed a person-to-person demo. "Hansel" (a CPAP user himself, what could be better ! !) came and gave me tips. For remaining 30 days all I had to do was use machine 21 consecutive days (noon to noon) for minimum of 4 hrs or 240 minutes per day to comply. I was able to comply thanks to "Hansel." read more

My Doctor sent an Rx to Reliable Respiratory for a new CPAP machine and supplies in November, 2021 -- 6 months ago. Although supplies are available, the rep. I spoke with said that they are still 'waiting for machines to be allocated,' which is vague and misleading, since they have the exact machine in stock today. Reliable Respiratory will happily sell me the CPAP machine I need, but will not provide one to me under insurance because of 'business policies'. I understand this business policy: it's called 'bait and switch.' read more

My experience was positive until they sent an email stating they had not received the $35 initial investment. I emailed back with a screenshot of my Visa bill showing the charge from Reliable. They insisted that though I showed the charge on my statement, their finance department did not show the payment. They want me to send another $35, which I will not do since I have proof that they were paid. After all the emails and phone calls both with them and with Bank of America Visa, they insist on an additional payment or a return of the machine I will be taking the machine back to them first thing tomorrow morning and can't understand how they are not grasping the fact that I have already paid the bill. read more

ive had no cpap machine for a week because the plastic piece that holds the mask broke. I called Monday because their closed on the weekend. I told them I need this piece I will pay out of pocket because I just got new health insurance well the lady said don't do that because that order will ship today call us at 4:00 to make sure and quess what it didn't ship. Absolutely everyone I've interacted with from various departments have been amazingly helpful, friendly and really went out of their way to ensure I got the best treatment possible.
