I'm not sure if the company changed management, ownership or just the drivers but service has not been the same in the past year. This month alone I've had to call and let them know my trash was not picked up. This last time is what made me aggravated and upset. Earlier this month, they didn't pick up our trash when I called the rep gives you a "script" of reasons why they didn't pick up but can see they came by my house. Ok none of those reasons apply to me so what's next??? After she spoke with the drivers they acknowledged the fact they didn't pick it up and were going back. Fast forward to this week. Same exact thing happened! SMH. I called, spoke with the same lady and once again same scripted response. I stopped her and told her none of those apply and this has happened before. Literally a week ago. Actually this has happened 3 times if not more but twice in this month (June). She wanted to look into and speak with the manager. Blah blah. After not hearing anything from them. I called back and spoke with another rep which informed me "it seems like all the accounts on your block have been locked except yours. Not sure why they didn't stop" mind you the previous lady stated they went by around 5am. So when I questioned that statement I was told "oh she was looking at the other street" At this point just say the drivers don't want to do their job bc this is happening way too much and my account is paid up. So no excuse! So, she stated the drivers would be coming back out and they notified the manager and placed the info on the drivers calendar. Which to me is nonsense bc it's the same route for years!! Nothing has changed. Why remind them of an address they should already know to pick up. Oh, I also mentioned that the drivers back (reverse) all the way down our street to pick up the trash. After all of that they finally pick up our trash 2 days later, oh and take the trash can!!! Way beyond annoyed. I called back and speak with a 3rd rep who gives a bogus reason of how the can could have ended up in their truck. Which doesn't add up bc one of the guys gets out of the truck to latch the can onto the dispenser to unload it and places the can back himself. So to say it could've landed in the truck bc the crane grabbed it too hard is nonsense. At this point , I just want to speak with a manager or have a return call from the manager. As of date, no call from "said manager" smh

The site on Ole Smithfield has good employees at the household chemical area but that's it. You could have one person help direct people for the rare instance that they do not know where to put trash. It's about time Wake county starting saving money instead of wasting it.

I can't even begin to tell you how joyful it was. Nowadays, everyone seems to be working on a very short fuse and finding anyone that is kind and patient is getting harder and harder. Dennis was just such a person. I am getting ready to move to Burlington (cue sad music now) and as I am slowly going insane with packing, I am finding more & more broken electronics that honestly have me wondering if I need to contact that TV show Hoarders. For real. I have a 42" TV, a 20" monitor, 2 computer keyboards, an old wifi router, a broken wii, a broken Hello Kitty alarm clock (don't diss the Kitty!) and an entire shopping bag filled with various plugs and cords. I wanted to take this to a recycling center myself however I have a fondness for compact cars & the TV just wouldn't fit. I didn't want to just dump the TV because I care about where I live & I know that TVs have a lot of toxic parts to them. I went online to get some advice (thank you Nextdoor) and was told about Anything with a Plug. I went online to visit their site & wow. It was SUPER easy to make the appointment & to prepay online with zero issue. They have a form to fill out but only if you need to declare what you are recycling. I found this out after I'd filled it all in. No worries, had a laugh with Dennis about it. I made the appointment via a phone call & all of this, chatting with a caring business owner, paying online, and the truckload of junk....all of this is costing me the low cost of $40. Yep. You heard me right. Dennis is coming by to pick all of this stuff up from my home....for $40. Y'all...if you have ever read any of my reviews you know that I will jump up and down trying to get anyone to listen & use a good local service. Well....here I am, got my jumpin' shoes on. If you have ANY electronics that need to go to recycling, why not take them to Dennis. Or, if you are like me, and hail to the compact car, give him a call! Give him your business! And once you've accomplished that, there's something even more satisfying in recycling the things in which it was packed. Cary's recycling center will take nearly everything: cardboard, books, glass, plastic, tin, aluminum, pots, pans, even furniture and yard waste, but not plastic bags. There are a few restrictions though, so check the city's website to be sure. Offloading an old computer, or any other electronics, will cost you a few dollars, but otherwise, there is no fee. As I enter the gate, a friendly employee will stop and ask what I'm dropping off, then direct me to the appropriate bins. Sometimes, late in the afternoon, it's difficult to find a spot in any of the three or so containers for cardboard boxes, but at least I know there are others making use of this resource. It may sound odd for an outdoor recycling center, but this location is kept pretty clean by both the City and the residents who drop things off which makes it even easier to keep coming back.

I only needed the storage for about a month as I was moving, and they were helping to save me money and time at every step! Any time I walked into the office they had a smile on their face and were happy to help and answer any questions I had! They also have a truck to rent to help move stuff into the storage unit that was a way better price than any other truck rental company. I had a wonderful experience here, and definitely recommend. I had a first floor, interior 5x10 unit. It was a clean and well maintained, and a reasonable price.
