I'm giving them 2 stars because I wanted to be different from all the 1-star reviews and the lone employee backed review of 5 stars (thinking that his effort would make a difference). If you need to take out a loan for your business that and pay 25-45% interest rate (calculated flat fee), you need to 1:) pivot your business to either close or lick your wounds and start another; 2:) have a face to face with a mentor who will inevitably stop you from signing (you'll be working for free with those rates) or 3) hang on to your dream of (this is all I need to get over the hump until the next hump). It sucks that you are here even considering a loan from this type of lender, if your business is not profitable, look to make it profitable. A 50% fee to this company every month will not get you close. read more

Unprofessional & Illegal Telemarketing Practices Review Body: We are on the National Do Not Call Registry and yet have been receiving repeated spam calls from this company -- sometimes every 3 minutes. I politely asked the caller to remove us from their list, and the telemarketer immediately hung up. I left a voicemail expressing my dissatisfaction, and the same telemarketer actually called back to tell me to "F*** off." This is not only rude and unprofessional but a clear violation of federal telemarketing laws. If this is how they treat potential customers, I can only imagine how they conduct business. read more

Aside from the fact that this company has terrible rates and terms, as others have said below....they don't offer monthly statements or any sort of portal to access your information. How hard is it to email the people who are keeping you in business a statement? Once they have your money they don't care about you anymore, unless it's to offer you new loans, which you would be foolish to take. Contacted them and spoke to someone named Ben Antone who told me they don't charge interest but demand a flat fee, and he wouldn't tell me how much and instead kept skirting the issue. Wanted me to send him six months of bank statements from my business account so that they can decide and qualify me for specific amount. This is a scam with dishonest marketing ploys. I received a letter today for my business that states, "Within the last 15 business days, a prequalified Reliant Business Cash Card and activation request were issued for the company named herein. According to our records at the time of this printing, the account has not yet been activated. Once your account has been activated, you are eligible to receive cash today. You can take advantage of this service if you: Respond no later than: 10/9/2019" This is a really bad way to advertise for your company with lies. I never asked for this nor signed up for this. The envelope came in what looks like an official document, and there is no company name inside or outside of the letter. If I could give this negative 5 stars, I would. I did borrow a 'modest' amount from this company for my small business, only $7,500 but after all said and done the payback is far more than twice that with fees. We are on those Do Not Contact lists specifically because we do not feel comfortable getting credit lines in the mail. There is a great deal of mail theft in our area and the independent contractors used in this area do not deliver mail accurately. Opening an envelope with a large credit line offered, along with what looks to be a real credit card with my husband's name on it is exactly what is not supposed to be arriving in the mail after we signed up to be on the Opt Out or Do Not Contact lists. Aren't these companies supposed to be checking these Do Not Contact or Opt Out lists before sending out loan or credit line offers? read more

I had a hard time working with this company already and then as things got bad with Covid19 and my state went into shut down it took nearly two weeks to get ahold of anyone to suspend my payback. When I did I had to transfer around and then was told they'd only suspend for two weeks. I had to call back after another two weeks and explain once again my state was on a shut down till May and was told they'd extend my suspension till then. We are now on shut down till June and received a text from a rep in their office last Monday about payment and explained this with no response. I am out of work and today woke up to a loan payment taken out which shouldn't have been and when I called in I was told they'd made a policy change of who was handling this but never told anyone about it! I applied online with lending tree or something and received multiple offers and choose Reliant Funding. I explained I was looking for a LOC with a 12 month term and have a respectable credit score. Was told this was a hybrid LOC. I was offered 50k and another 75k (125k total) after I took the initial 50k. Term was 7 months with DAILY payments, and if went to term pay back about 72k on the 50k. Do the math!!! That is 88% APR!!! ARE YOU FRICKN CRAZY?? In what universe would that make "good business sense" for my business OR yours!!!? Seriously people - a get a HELOC instead. Let me share my experience with Reliant Funding. As a new business owner in 2020 my experience has already been a rollercoaster. Having the the opportunity to finally open my family restaurant and then have it all come to a stop due to COVID was a true nightmare. Then, not having any support from the government at the time because I was not open in 2019 was just another major slap in the face. I was desperate for support which lend me to this Funding company. It was devastating to hear that I have to pay back almost 50% of what I needed to borrow. However, when you need the help you will take anything. Long story short I was recently approach by the company again as months have passed and I could request for more funds but at a better rate (i'm assuming)..I sent my recent statements and then they replied back saying I was not approved and that I will be charged an additional $2,500 for a breach of contract. I was so confused as I have never missed a daily payment. I continued to read the email and they said I have used another company and that is not allowed. So, not only does this company charge you about 50% of whatever amount you need but they also charge you if you use another company. This was never made clear to me and we are in a global pandemic so of course I need any support possible and I have NEVER missed a payment. I will be contacting the company soon to talk with management and hopefully have a better response as their business model is "literally to help other businesses succeed"... I submitted bank statements and other documents and they were willing to fund me over $9000... when I heard the terms I decided it wasn't worth it. Turned them down. I have received several pieces of mail over the past few months with an activation request for a $100,000 cash card and all I need to do is call a number to activate the account. When I called, a gentleman answered and immediately asked for my 16-digit account number on the piece of mail. I declined his request and began asking him questions regarding the piece of mail, but he interrupted me, again asking for the account number. I again declined and he ended the conversation. Husband received one of these pre-qualified "credit cards" at his place of work. The letter was open and his name, the pin number, and credit card number was exposed to whoever opened it. The card says it is not an actual credit card, but we don't know for sure if someone could actually open an account by calling the number listed and using my husband's name and "credit account number" provided on the card. I understand this is a way to market their product, but identity theft is very real, and a person's name or any other identifying information should not be used. The letter sent with the card looks like it is a real account that one might have and an unsuspecting person might call to "activate it". This kind of marketing is deceptive. We wouldn't want to do business anyway with any company that uses such deceptive practices. read more

He said he needed to collect all my info before he could give me terms. I said I understand but Ill need to have some idea before I provide you with my credit information. I explained I'm not looking for made up numbers, I'm looking for some estimated terms based on the amount I'll need to borrow and the time in which I will need it. They said that if I provided six months worth of bank statement I qualified for a $50,000.00 loan with monthly payments. 14 days later I get a letter stating I've been approved and will be receiving the welcome call in a few minutes but that the monthly payments were not true. We'll, those few minutes turned to a week when again I was called to say that the lender had lied to them but they were working on a better deal and that the next day I would be receiving the second welcome call. Needles to say, all of the people associated with this organization are scammers. Beware of you get a call or a letter from them. I was offered coffee or water while I waited. What hit me as the most remarkable thing was the professional way that I heard the few reps around me speaking to their customers. This is Not a sweat shop of churn and burn. This is Not a place where 'fill a seat and we'll keep you until the next person comes along' exists. It is plain to see that they are very serious about their organizaiton from the people they hire to the people they assist in the world of business with incredible financial solutions to Americans struggling to stay afloat in today's economy. I dig this about them. During the interview, Matt laid the business on the table, asked me questions about myself and then allowed me all the time I needed to ask him questions about the business and about his feelings regarding Reliant. Before my exit, he assured me that the, (President who is Adam,) would call me personally due to his being on the phone. As a person who is big on follow-up, I looked forward to receiving Adam's call. Guess what? While in the midst of filling out this Yelp Review, Adam called me! I just got off the phone with him. What I've experienced from this job search from the time of my doing research on this company, the moment I walked in the door, to my one-on-one interaction with both of it's principals, ( Adam and Matt,) I will tell you that this is a premier company on the San Diego landscape of businesses. This should be illegal and all this does is expose your personal details in the mail system which causes a domino effect. This company uses poor marketing tactics to stay in business so i hope any real company that has ties to them will end them because all methods they use will reflect badly on you as well. I for one would never do any business with reliant funding or any company associated with it. They should have an F rating. They have negative reviews and should not have an A rating.
