The reviews are not lying, they do indeed demand tips! I went with my mom and she had finished her massage before me, and they brought me into a little room and asked for a tip and then continued to ask why my mom didn't tip as well. They then requested that I ask my mom for the tip. My mom had indeed left a tip. That being said, the massage was great. I got a 60 minute combo massage from Groupon and it was very relaxing. There were a few strange things, such as having my underwear pulled all the way down after being told I could leave underwear on, and having to put my feet into a huge plastic-lined bucket of hot water. Summer was great with a 2 hour deep tissue massage. What also makes her much better is that her English is excellent. That make communicating what works and areas that need attention much easier. I came to this business after seeing a Groupon for them. I didn't actually buy the Groupon because their prices are, on their own, reasonable. I was almost detoured from coming because the reviews on Groupon which said they always asked about tip. I've been going to Relux Spa for several years now. They are in a new location (on the East side of Parker Road). You will get a wonderful, private, reflexology/deep tissue massage at Relux. I've been to several other reflexology massage places around Littleton and Denver, but Relux is by far my favorite. It fits somewhere between a "full spa massage" and a "reflexology salon" (where you are in a room with many people.) At Relux, you are in a private room, and can undress as much as you like. You will get calming music, and very clean rooms. The price is probably 30% below what you would pay at a full spa, which is why the expectation to tip well is posted. I like that I can pay a 'lower price' to the establishment, but a higher price on the tip. Makes much more sense to me. read more

I came here with a Groupon looking for a relaxing 90 minutes massage. I ended up with one of the strangest massages I've ever had in my life. The masseuse used a steaming hot cloth that was to hot at first then ended up leaving me cold and wet. She jumped on and off the table never getting the pressure right and nodding every time I tried to redirect her and just continued on. I was on my back when she pulled down the sheet and as I'm trying to pull the sheet back up she is fighting with me to get it back down. I purchased a Groupon for a 60 minute foot reflexology session and booked the appt online. I paid $29 for the Groupon for what is normally a $35 service. The massage started with a mop bucket with lukewarm water being brought in and the masseuse had me lift my feet up and soak them in it for the first 15 minutes. The massage itself was ok. She didn't ask me at all if I preferred firm pressure or lighter and I was sore for days after due to her using too firm of pressure while massaging my neck and back. I asked her to please be lighter but I don't think she understood what I was saying. When I was checking out after the massage she bullied me into paying her a $25 tip! That is outrageous! That's near 75% gratuity for an hour foot massage that started with my feet being soaked in a mop bucket with water in it. They have a sign posted at the front desk that explains what the "industry standard" is for tipping. Be warned that you will pay almost double the posted prices for the services. read more

This is the craziest massage place on earth. When I arrived I was told they only accept cash,no debit, no cards at all. I happened to have cash so I went ahead and did my massage. It was average at best. Other people kept opening doors and turned on the lights then left. Really weird. The end is what got me. I handed her a $20 bill and asked her for change and she REFUSED! I just had a massage here and I really enjoyed it. They were able to get me in the same day I called and they were do friendly. This is a different kind of massage than your average swedish massage and it was a first for me. It's a more Chinese style, with stretching, patting, and "punching" (obviously they're not really punching you, but I don't know how else to describe it. Percussion? Lol.) Anyway, the woman giving the massage was very nice and I feel much better. The only reason I didn't give it a 5-star rating is because I feel like she used too much oil and wasn't able to get a better "grip" on some of my more challenging knots. I was super impressed with these people at first. My massage was amazing. I got the 90 minute which was $75.00. My friend got the same and so the total price was $150.00. I had $35 cash and decided to give them a little over 20%. After tipping them, she can back to me as asked me for more money??? I asked her if she was seriously asking me for more than a 20% tip? I agree with Marion B. That was the strangest massage I have ever had. I also had a coupon and arrived about 10 minutes prior to my massage appointment time. I told the "receptionist" (who turned out to be my massage therapist) who I was. I then used the restroom that was filled with buckets of cleaning water and pretty messy (as was the reception area). When I went back to the reception area my therapist came out and said "Hey! Lady! Ready now!". Really? Lady? Okay, that was my first alarm. I also experienced the crawling up on the table and straddling me to do my back massage (weird). She also put the oil all over me and then wiped it off with an extremely hot towel mostly on my buttocks (very weird). Lots of banging on my arms and legs with her fists. I received a Groupon for Christmas and scheduled a 60 min massage with Susan. I've never had a Chinese massage so I wasn't sure what to expect. The spa is warm and relaxing. I'm a big ex football player so I have sympathy for the therapist that have to work on me. Susan (Chinese) was great. I felt very comfortable on the table as she worked out knots in my neck, back and thighs. The hot oil was fantastic along with the use of hot stones. It was unlike a massage i've had before where she used chinese methods to find the trigger points and really work out the knots along with feeling relaxed and calm. I booked another appoint. I've been to Relux 4 more times since my review in December. I understand M F's 1 star review as I travel to Asia quite often and have had some incredibly unpleasant foot massages and body scrubs over there. I'll say two things; Asian people must have much tougher feet and skin than Americans (at least way tougher than me) because a foot massage in China almost sent me through the roof and a super aggressive body scrub in Japan left me feeling like a burn victim! They were only trying to give MF a foot massage that they would like so if it's not good for you just ask for what you want. After all, they are not trying to make you unhappy. Make an appointment with May or Tina and tell them exactly what you want. They are both very good and will will give you a good massage. With all of the Groupons this place offers it is really hard to beat. read more

Was told they don't make much money so they need big tips. I bought a groupon for the reflexology which was surprisingly good and more than I expected for the service and price. I then bought a 3-pack 90 minute massage package for $165. Good deal. The girls do a nice rub down and previous comments are correct, very little draping! I get massages frequently and it's obvious these girls aren't LMT's. They are a very good at doing a rub down but as far as identifying knots and skillfully working them out, that is non-existent. I felt $55 for the massage was a good deal for a feel-good body rub. What's disappointing is the language barrier and the inexplicable lack of communication on what's hurting or previous/current injuries to look out for and pay special attention to. I have had 3 knee surgeries and a rotator cuff surgery. Why wouldn't they want to know that? They don't have clients fill any paperwork out. The most insulting thing is the Tip chart they put out which is made up BS. I went online and looked up acceptable tips for massage therapists and the vast majority of reputable sites say 10-20% is recommended. Relux spa has a chart that simply doesn't exist anywhere else although I've seen the same chart in one other spa. The chart says if you feel the massage was "excellent" you should tip $25 which is upwards of 33%! If someone wants to tip that much, more to power to them but to suggest that is highly unprofessional and insulting. There is nothing cheap or wrong about tipping 15-20%. read more

This place was great! Best foot and scalp massage EVER! just be prepared, it's a little different from those normal chain massage places in Parker but I don't think in a bad way at all. To explain at little further, it's not as nice to look at on the inside but I feel like the quality of massage was MUCH better. I didn't get left uncovered at any point and I felt relaxed and comfortable. The language barrier might me an issue for some needing something super specific but I felt as though I could basically explain if something hurt, was uncomfortable, or to concentrate on an area.... This business advertises foot reflexology - but truly it's just a foot massage. When you schedule a 60 minute foot reflexology appointment, you get 25 minutes massage of face, head, shoulders, arms. Even when you mention that you do not want that, it does not matter - it's what you get. But the most irritating thing about this business is the way they PUSH the ridiculous $30 tip!! If you pay $35 for a foot massage, who thinks that an additional $30 is appropriate for a tip? They have no problem embarrassing you when you leave 20-25% tip. I finally used my groupon for what I thought was a 60 minute foot massage. No paperwork to fill out. Are these people licensed? They soak your feet in warm water while massaging your arms, neck and shoulders. Then she gave a great foot massage. I fell asleep. It was so relaxing. I have had mediocre massages, good massages, and great massages. This, by far, was the worst massage I have ever had. I highly doubt that the massage therapist even has training and I'm concerned that it did more harm than good. My back hurts more now than it did when I went in and I have a splitting headache. I received a Groupon for a Hot Stone massage here, and I booked it after my grandma passed away for some much needed relaxation. They really need to clarify their Groupon offerings. This was not a hot stone massage, it was a Chinese reflexoloy massage that incorporated hot stones for about 45 seconds. They do not practice draping techniques here, so if you enjoy modesty and privacy during your massage, you won't get it. They stripped make naked, took my sheet away, lathered me violently in warm oil, scorched my skin off with flaming hot stones, then threw steaming hot towels on me to wipe all of the oil off. Not to mention I booked 90 minutes and my therapist left the room after 40 minutes and never returned. The language barrier was so strong that they couldn't figure out what I was saying to alert them to my time being cut short. At this point in being completely ready to leave, I paid and tipped my massage therapist. She scoffed at the tip and grunted at me as if it wasn't enough. Ok, so I found a Groupon for a hour foot massage with 30 min back massage. I bought two cause me and my friend needed a hard core foot massage and why not include a quickie on the back. We were greeted nicely and sent to the room for our "massage". I have to say I was excited since I never had a reflexology massage before. My hopes were high and my feet we anticipating the glory of another's touch. They spent way too many years bottled up in ice hockey skates. They deserved this! Not sure of her name but I will call her Barb. Barb placed my delightful feet in a tub of hot water and then began what was the longest hour and a half of aggressive and unsatisfying touches. The foot massage started with a head rub and ear grinding with a little bit of hair pulling...it felt like my first night of 7 minutes in heaven with Sean at mellisas 6th grade party. Let's just say he was a better touch than Barb. Next was the 20 minutes of sandpaper/salt scrub that left my tibia and ankle bones showing. She scrubbed the shit out of my legs and left me with scrub burn! That was followed by a quick rub of the feet, more of a tickle and than a beating with some small sticks to the bottom of my feet. After that was 17 pumps worth of walmart lotion that was smeared all over my calfs. I am still using that same lotion 3 days later. And that was it! My feet were "massaged". Then it was time to flip me over and randomly beat my back and ass with little fist of fury. My friends 8 year old gives better massages. All in all this was awful and I hate writing bad reviews but I can tell you the other reviews that gave them 5 stars are the employees writing those. Read them carefully and you can see. I was given a Groupon (thankfully) for a 90 minute massage. Upon walking into the facility, I wasn't greeted. I had to wait about 5 minutes before someone acknowledged me. I was then escorted to a room 10 minutes after my scheduled massage, then had to wait while laying on the table for nearly another 10 minutes before someone came in to start my massage. I wasn't asked about ailments, what I was looking to get out of my massage, pressure preference, etc. There were points during the massage in which I was telling her that she was hurting me- she would let up for a few minutes and then go back to hurting me. I had bruises on my back the following day. The Groupon stated that I would get hot towels and hot oil (which I did) and aromatherapy. She never used aromatherapy. After the massage, I gave the masseuse a cash tip and she had the nerve to tell me that I wasn't giving her enough tip. She then proceeded to point to a "proper" tipping chart.
