The coach sat the entire time, simply giving instructions, which made it difficult for my daughter, who is brand new, to keep up with the warm-ups and across-the-floor exercises. Despite this being a Tumbling 1 class, they were doing back walkovers and front walkovers during across-the-floor drills. How is this considered a beginner-level class? My daughter didn't receive any spotting, even though she can't do a back walkover yet and was trying her best to keep up. I initially gave the coach the benefit of the doubt since she mentioned she wasn't feeling well that day. However, when we returned the following week, it was the same thing. The coach began the class sitting down, gave instructions, demonstrated a little, but again didn't spot or assist the new students at all. It feels like a Tumbling 1 class here assumes you're already trained and just need a space to practice. While the coach seems skilled, they lack the teaching approach necessary for beginners. A true beginner class should involve more hands-on assistance and spotting to help build confidence and ensure the students are learning safely. This is not how a beginner program should be run.

The following class I came in and there is a child now teaching the class. And they don't even have the supplies they need. Like a charged speaker to play the song the girls need to learn this dance. This is insane!!!! This organization is an absolute joke. I can't believe my child's elementary school suggested this group. I've already contacted the school district and gave them a complaint to see if they can stop recommending this organization.

Now, we have our 11 year old daughter enrolled in SCSOPA! She is enjoying every single minute here. I believe this may be her second home. She enjoys the acting classes, the voice overs, teen runway, on-camera scene practices, etc. She loves it, loves it, LOVES it!!! To add on, she has made some great friends already in the 2 months that she has been here. She just participated in a fashion show, so this place keeps her BUSY! The teachers are awesome.
