We spent a lot of time and money trying and we jumped through every hoop asked of us. I'm so disappointed in Jennifer Zenere and the fact that she could not even provide my employment verifications to me to help us possibly save the home we were trying to buy. Our whole household was really hurt over this process and there was zero concern. The employment verifications could have helped us close on our house and she ignored our request and our lenders request further extending the process. She really got our hopes up and put us through a lot of unnecessary stress. Every day there was something new to do and we completed all of the tasks just to be treated like we meant nothing. It's a bad way to do business and I hope no one ever has to experience this because it has really took a lot out of me and my family mentally and emotionally. Very poor customer service and over all lack of appreciation for the people that invested their money and time into them. As soon as she couldn't close the loan she completely ghosted everyone involved and that was unprofessional. I wish I would have started with the lender we have now and never experienced this with real estate resource because it completely tainted our home buying experience.

I wasn't thrilled being pulled away from Chicago, but we all have to do what we have to do. First, Diane & her team are wonderful. I still remember both her & Adriana showing me units - accommodating my schedule - I didn't get off work until late, & I appreciated them working with me. They were both amazing & I settled on a unit Diane had showed me. Any maintenance request I had was handled quickly - their team was very friendly! I appreciated the laundry room being very tidy, being able to pay rent online, as well as making maintenance requests. Despite being close to a hospital, it was very quiet & peaceful. On occasion I'd hear the garbage truck or landscaping but that's to be expected. I loved my open kitchen, large bathroom, bedroom, & large walk in closet. I was sad being unable to stay as changing jobs again would require me to move yet again. When the time came, I wasn't happy about leaving - I loved my unit & the staff here. Even when my move date was a day past intended, Diane was really great working with me. If you're in need of an apartment in the Joliet area, I highly recommend this place. Thank you so much again. (I miss my old place there!)

Birches I lived in…read morethis community for four years - the longest I've lived anywhere since I was 18 years old. Please don't mistake that as a good thing - the housing market sucked and management literally trapped us there. The four years I was there - I grew bitter. Bitter, because I see plenty of cars in the parking lot that violate the rules of being in the parking lot (flat tires, zero suspension, expired plates by YEARS, etc.) that did not get ticketed or towed. Yet, of course our vehicles did not get exceptions. Bitter, because I had cats and paid exorbitant fees to have live with us at the complex, only to be told upon exiting that those fees covered absolutely nothing and we should have left the patch of carpet they tore up (since they had an accident by the door and marked it) and were going to be charged $300 to cover it. Bitter, because we pay for the gym and pool year round, despite weights being stolen, machines not working, and the pool being opened later than promised. Bitter, because we didn't have a consistent staff member to talk to for our first two years there due to employee turnover. Bitter, because we'd meet the neighbors and they'd talk about how the girl that sits at the pool is a hooker for weed and her boyfriend likes it - what kind of community is this?? Bitter, because we paid for water usage split for the whole building, so if your neighbors are taking long showers, tough luck! Bitter, because the trash removal fee was tacked on to our bill every month rather than included in the base rent - that, among other fees, mean the base rent isn't actually what you will ever pay. If you want to live in a place where they don't care to communicate issues, don't care to double check their spelling and grammar when they do communicate, and do the absolute bare minimum to fix things, this is the place for you. If you want to be taken advantage of since it is a low-cost of living area, please rent with The Birches. Oh, and they do offer incentives to review, so please take those positive reviews with a grain of salt. :)

They arrived exactly on time with three people. Were able to removed the old vanities and hang the new ones in two hours. Was surprised how fast they were. I also asked them if they could drill holes for the fixtures because it wasn't done by company we ordered from. They did so without hesitation. The work was great, everyone was polite and friendly. There price was as quoted, which I feel was really good, since the company we ordered from said they would do the same work for $800!

I wasn't sure why this contract like most wasn't sent to me in a PDF docusign and why I needed meet in their shared office but we scheduled a time to get the paperwork signed. Mare informed me there were no other offer on this particular home. We wrote the offer on 11/6 and I waited patiently for a response from the sellers (as of today 11/15 I never received a response or rejection). On 11/7 Marie emailed me stating the house was still active BUT Kathy Dames is waiting on another buyers financing to be approved; and those buyers offered 270k so the sellers want 270k for the home. Marie also told me if I offered 264k the sellers might consider my offer. I reached out to Marie all week looking for an update on my offer of course NOTHING!! So I called my attorney on 11/14 who informed me I had the right to contact the seller. I called the sellers on 11/14, I introduced myself, I also explained she did not have to give me any information on offers, I just wanted to confirm that my 1st Offer was presented to her on 11/6. Of course the seller stated " I never got an offer from you last week, but I got your offer today". I shared with seller that that was my 2nd offer, I had to go to another realtor just to get my offer submitted. I called Kathy Dames owner/broker of Remax (850 Brookforest Ave Shorewood, IL) on 11/15 to request proof that my offer was submitted on 11/6 and she told me my offer was rejected. I then asked for time stamped proof that my offer was rejected and she said she would have the sellers write a letter. I declined their letter; I asked again that she forward me the email that was sent to the seller on 11/6, she refused. I told Kathy that I was very upset that I missed the opportunity to purchase a home and that I would also file a complaint against her and her agency. Kathy said " and I'm filing a complaint against you for being a "NUISANCE" I told her I wasn't a nuisance but a buyer in the market for a home. Of course she hung up on me. This is called home buyer discrimination and suppression. It's been almost 24 hours and still no proof that my offer was present last week!! Because of this shady office and the frauds they have working I have missed the opportunity to purchase a home!!

You will hear the neighbor on top of you so clear and loud that you will not be able to sleep and the property owners do not care as long as you pay your rent that's all they care about. They do not care about their tenants. Everything is old since they opened in 1900s. Property management hires lawn care services that will be mowing the lawn at 6:45-7:45 am so if you like to sleep in or work the night shift be prepared. Sleeping here is minimal.Kids will be popping fireworks from 9pm-1am. Random homeless people walk around the parking lot checking cars that are left open. If you want to live like your homeless this is the perfect spot because you won't get any sleep.

They then set the new poles in concrete and did not return until a few days later when it had properly set. At this point we expected them to attach preassembled panels and be done. Nope! They spent the next 3 days building our fence board by board, ensuring it was level and tight. The final product is amazing. The whole time, Monica kept in constant contact with us advising if the projects status. Prior to construction she helped with applying for the permit and making sure everything was correct to avoid paperwork delays. I highly recommend this locally owned and operated small business.
