He was very pleasant and seemed very forthcoming and he came to our property several times. We were still dealing with Covid and finding someone to show up was a struggle, so we were happy to see him stick through this process. He was one of two contractors that made the cut. He wasn't the cheapest, but he seemed honest. We broke ground on Nov. 2022, and from that point forward it was a disaster. Within a week the issues began. He cut right through our sewer line, so excrement was leaking into our backyard. - Vinny did not inform me, and someone on his crew shoved a rock into the sewer pipe. I called him, he told me it wasn't a big deal. It was fixed 3 days later. Pretty gross, and to not rock the boat I praised him for his speed. 3 days of toilet water spewing into our yard is 3 days too long in my opinion. The hits continued from there. He removed the insulation from the soffit which was underneath the upstairs bathrooms on the coldest week in December. Our pipes froze. By the grace of god they did not burst. It took 2 days to thaw though. Fun! Next up, the architect called for a vapor barrier underneath the concrete. Not to get too technical. A vapor barrier prevents water from moving upwards through the concrete and to the surface. The surface which might have a finished floor like wood. The day of the pour he put holes throughout the vapor barrier. I called my architect to confirm it that was called for and he said no, and in fact he should redo the vapor barrier. By that time, the cement truck was on site. That was HACK move number 4-5. By now I started to see a pattern and I should have pulled the plug, but I didn't. Then came the clown show of the pour. He didn't opt to have the concrete company provide him with a power extension hose to spread the concrete. He build his own funnel system that didn't work great and him and several other laborers he brought in for the day wasted time trying to get it in place. Since his contraption was so poorly devised the concrete was not distributed well, so we had deviations for 1/2 to 2 inches. I believe from the bathroom to the living room which was on 8 feet, it at 1-1/2 alone. I know what you are thinking at this point why not get rid of him. I need the job done, so I had to continue. We could not stop and start the process over again. I just needed to make sure I stayed on top of every step. The framing took several weeks because little did I know when I hired him. It was just him and his pal Jimmy that would be building the addition. He said he had a crew, but it turns out not to be the case. Literally it's him and Jimmy 90% of the time, and they only work from about 8:30AM-2PM, many days it was to 1:30PM. My ring camera does not lie. I let the clown show continue, and I even extended the additional to also include replacement of the old windows and siding. I think I'm a glutton for punishment. He did it everything wrong. Number one, when installing house wrap, it should be done all at once as a continuous barrier. The seams should be taped and if using staples, the stamp holes should be taped as well. He applied a strip of house wrap around the window opening, and before I caught him. That's all he had. He didn't use a waterproofing rubber membrane around the window opening. When I asked him why not, he began asking me if he wanted him to build for leaks. I couldn't wrap my head around what he was saying. I called Andersen and they confirmed their warrant does not cover improper installation. He ended up using flashing after that, but the order in which it was installed was again wrong. The fact that the homeowner had to call him out on that is astonishing. IMAGE WHAT HE DOES WHEN PEOPLE AREN'T PAYING ATTENTION OR IF THEY DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER. Every sub that came in mention how terrible the concrete pour was. I don't know if they said it to his face but even Jimmy, his right-hand said it was awful. In the end I had to pay him to additional money to level the floors. He actually tried to install flooring on top of the concrete. It was so unsafe. It was like walking on sponge. Just absolute trash like much of his other work. This is getting long enough, so I'll wrap it up. He didn't maintain a typical pay schedule and at the end of the day we paid him for all the work we signed a contract for, but he did not complete and purchase all the necessary material to complete the job, so we had to pay additional money to other people to complete the job. He's a bad contractor and I wish I saw other reviews citing this. The combination of all the issues makes me convinced that any prior review were written by family and friends. His work was subpar. In review all his work, there is not one single thing that is good quality. Check out the pictures. I wish I were making this up. AVOID, AVOID!!!

We bought three vanities from Paramus Kitchen & Bath, one 49" and two 24", and when they were…read moredelivered, quality was well below expectations. All three units had rather big uneven gaps. The drawers on the big one are misaligned. They even installed top drawers in the exact spot where the sinks go, even though we bought the sinks and tops from them at the same time. Our contractor had to tear the drawers apart and reattach the fronts just to make the vanities usable. What is also interesting, when we ordered it, the salesperson did hand-drawing of the big vanity. This drawing is probably the only blueprint that was used during manufacturing. The paint on the edges is already wearing off. There are a couple of places where the primer is showing through. And the vanities we received look somewhat different from the showroom models, which had tight, clean gaps, not the big, uneven ones we got. We even stopped by the store to show them the issues. The person who took our order said she would send someone to our home to look at the problems. We never heard from her again. To be fair, the countertops are exceptionally good. But as we understand it, they are manufactured and installed by a different company that Paramus Kitchen & Bath subcontracts. After vanities were installed, they came to our home, took all the measurements, then in a few days they came again and installed countertops. Top quality. Out of our entire renovation, buying from Paramus Kitchen & Bath was the biggest mistake we made.

He helped me pick out a nice low pile industrial carpet that matched the color scheme of the attic and would be able to stand up to lots of foot traffic by the kids. Dale Jr. came on time to install the carpet and was quite diligent in getting the carpet installed, even though the stairs had some tricky turns and landings. I called many months ago and spoke with the owner (Mike) to replace damaged laminate flooring in a business in my commercial building. The owner, Mike, had came and measured and said it would be done soon. Several weeks had went by with no calls or updates. I was wondering why no one reached out to give me a status update, so I called the owner. When I called him, he said he would call me back in a few minutes but never did. I was starting to get "fed up" and reached out again, and he started ignoring my calls. When I became totally fed up and left a voicemail of my displeasure, he then put me on automatic - voicemail. I was a loyal and dependable customer to them for years without any issues. I talked to my friend who referred me to Best Carpets and Interiors and I found out that the company's business practices are not what they used to be. Basically, if you are not a "big job" like a large scale renovation, you are but on the "back burner". I was really "stunned" because the job I needed done was an easy one or two day job. (laying down laminate in a room in my tenant's beauty salon. I referred people to Best Carpets in the past, but " never again".

I approached Hoffman at the beginning of March to install a new handrail, newel post, balusters,…read moreand fix a broken step for the primary staircase of my home. Once the work was done, we would have them then install a runner. We were excited to use Hoffman from all of the amazing examples that they shared on social media of staircases and homes they 'claim' to have renovated. The sales team in the store was as you would expect for a boutique mom & pop shop... an air of pretentiousness in a relatively humble environment. After insulting my wife & I by assuming we were looking for a budget-friendly deal, we ultimately were left to search the store and pick out the runner we wanted. After deciding, we scheduled measurements for the following week. As we attempted to leave, the salesperson insisted on following us out into the parking lot to put samples in our trunk, however, I believe this was a further attempt to 'size-up' our budget based on what we drove. Anthony, the third generation in this family-run business, showed up at my house the following week. He was here for approximately 20 minutes, took the measurements, and advised he would be in touch in about a week once all of the materials were in. He advised everything needed to be special ordered. The job was quoted at $4,000. I accepted. One, two, three, then four weeks go by without hearing from Anthony. As it had been a month, I called the store to find out what the cause of the delay was. They advised that the materials were expected to be in at the end of the week, and apologized for the delay. I was completely understandable, as I was just happy to have Hoffman come do the work in the first place. Afterall, the pictures they continued to share on social media looked amazing. I wanted the same in my house. Three more weeks go by, then I get a call from Anthony saying they are ready to start the work. I was thrilled. Anthony's 'team' showed up on a Friday towards the end of April. They demo'd my existing handrail and newel post. As they went to replace the broken step, they realized that Anthony ordered the wrong thickness, and the correct one would have to be special ordered (again). Given that 8 weeks had already passed, and frustrated, I called Anthony and advised rather than ordering 1-custom step, please replace all steps with standard thickness ones. He apologized and advised that the total cost of the project would now be $6,000. This was still well within my budget so we agreed, and the team would be back the following week to continue the work. The team shows up the following week, rips out all of the stairs, and replaces with 'new' ones, and 'finishes' the handrail/newel post. After two coats of stain, Anthony texted me and advised the project was done and we were ready for Carpet. Here's where the story really gets interesting: --Nothing installed was special ordered and is readily available at Home Depot. --Each of the 11 brand-new stairs they installed had scratch marks, pencil marks, or dents. --The newel post had approximately 50 blemishes from improper sanding/staining. --The balusters were installed upside-down! Then corrected via using glue and wood filler to partially cover all of the knicks and holes they just put in the brand-new materials. ---They did not stain the visible undersides of the new steps --They did not stain the backside of the handrail against the wall --Multiple sharp/jagged edges were left exposed --They did not clean-up their worksite, leaving half eaten fruit in my garage. --They used two different types of balusters after they 'fixed' the original mistake. --They did not come with their own sufficient materials and used my personal table saw/miter saw. --I come to discover that the 'team' Anthony sent to my house had not worked for him before, and were effectively unskilled day laborers. --At no point did Anthony ever come to check on the work. Clearly, Anthony/Hoffman contracted this project out, in an attempt to make quick cash off an unsuspecting customer. I called Anthony and told him to come look at the work. Originally, he was very combative and continually corrected the language I was using to describe the work his team did to my house (if the work looks like ..... it probably is). He tried to persuade me to let him come back and try again, but as he already dragged this process on for 2+ months and had his team at my house 5+ times, I was not interested. Given my dissatisfaction and the clear evidence that he had tried to scam me, he fully refunded my deposit and did not charge me for the work. I didn't want to write/post a review but given that Hoffman is still actively advertising their stair 'services', I felt it necessary to share my experience. p.s. the pictures hardly do justice to how poor the work really is.

They installed our Villa Borehsie flooring on the kitchen/living room level of home during a kitchen remodel. My wife loved for flooring so much that we brought the team back to put the same flooring down in our ground level family room. The install team was great. They worked clean and got the job done in the time that Anthony estimated it would take.
