I went there today about 1:30 pm to get my dad a hair cut, but they refused us. I guess they don't have enough employees; however right around the corner was a fantastic sams and they were great. No wait and wonderful service will always get a great rating from someone that doesn't normally take the time to give a rating. We have taken my son here for the past 6 months and have had great experiences. Miranda does an awesome job at entertaining him and always leaves his hair looking great! The other barbers however obviously have no place working with children. My son (20 months) was not having it today, like most kids his age. This usually wouldn't be a problem as Miranda does well with this but today the other 4 barbers wanted to comment on everything my son did. They were the opposite of helpful and if anything they made the experience worse than it would have been. We will definitely not be going back. Not only will we not be going back but I will personally be sure to mention this to everyone I know along with post it on every social media account I have so that they avoid this place and it's toxic environment. 5 stars for Miranda 0 stars for Renegade and the rest of the Barbers. read more

I have lived in this area for 36 years and have gone to many shops--the last was Alans downtown. when hes not on something hes running his mouth about the women hes been with or the hatred towards other races----- Renegade has been my fovorite place for awhile with freindly conversations and great buisness cuts! i would highly recomend this shop to anyone. read more

DO NOT COME HERE FOR A HAIRCUT!!! I took my 4 year old son here on Sunday to get a "trim", he ended up with, what looked like, a haircut from a drunk Edward scissor hands!! It looked great when we left because she styled it to cover up the terrible job she had done. Once we got home and I actually looked at it, I noticed that it was so uneven, I almost cried!! We drove back there and showed her the awful job she had done. She said "oh yeah, it does look a little choppy!?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!? Why didn't she notice it when she was cutting it?? One of the other ladies offered to fix it but kept asking me if my son was moving around or if he was being fidgety? I told her that he was sitting still the entire time. She tried to fix the awful haircut but just kept cutting his hair shorter and shorter. I might as well have just done a buzz cut all over. She even left some long hair on the back, It was terrible!! I hate this place so much!! Please do not go here!! Spend a little extra somewhere else and get a decent haircut. read more

Ok here it is. 1 extra star for not charging me for a bad cut. For quality...1 star, if that. I doubt this place will suffer with this review, but I found the work to be incredibly sloppy. First off all, the lady finished with the guy in front of me. She took a break then came back smelling like cigarettes. Whatever. Then all I wanted was a low fade with a little off the top. I style my hair so I wanted it blended to match the sides. Pretty easy instuctions. What I got was basically a high and tight with long hair on top. It looks ridiculous. She did it quick using clippers and guards. Ok for a quick cut but from experience I find that clippers and comb get better results and take a little more care. As for this place it churns out people. Why I think it deserves 2 stars: its a quick careless place. If you want a high and tight, why not just get cut on base? Its cheaper and they do it so much you get a better result. If you say whats the big deal its just hair? Then why are you yelping barbers in the first place? I dont go and think every place is terrible. For example. If Bonnie and Bobs were open on weekends then I would go there. Same price, much better result. My son is 3 and has a VERY difficult time with getting his hair cut. Miranda was very patient & gentle with him and did an awesome job at fixing his hair. The last place we took him started but wouldn't finish his haircut & it was a mess. Miranda took the time to fix it and was very kind during his tantrum. It makes a world of difference to have someone treat your child with kindness and sincerity when they're having a difficult time with something, even just a haircut. His hair looks great now! There is nothing fancy at all about this place, they are not wasting any money on the facility! Haircut was reasonably priced and the lady that cut my hair was very nice. I got a simple military style cut, razored my neck and finished with a short neck massage. Haircut was quick and I wasn't reminded to give a tip, I offered and then she took my money. Lost a star for being a little run down, I would recommend this place for veterans and active duty. read more

I really like this barbershop, centrally located in uptown station there is abundant parking and easy access. The shop itself was clean and was very accommodating. There is plenty of seating for waiting customers. The staff is friendly and helpful. The specific service that we needed had a barber that specialized in it. The turnaround was very quick and the hair cut was done perfectly! The prices are fair and the hours are very accommodating. We will be back! read more

I specifically said before sitting down...clean up the sides and back only. I tried to speak up when she started cutting off huge clumps from the right side of my head. When she was done, I had a Hitler combover. I went home and shaved my head. No idea why I paid to let someone do exactly what I said NOT to do, and now I'm bald for a few months. My family loves this barber shop. The staff is amazing and friendly. My husband has gone to them since just after they opened at Uptown Station. He usually sees Debbie or Kalisch. With thick, curly, Dominican hair, it's hard for him to find barbers/stylists who can tame his hair and cut it into regulation, but these ladies have it down to a science! Kalisch is also the only one we trust to cut our oldest son's hair. He loves playing in the toy car chair, laughing and playing with her, all while she makes him look fantastic! read more

I decided to try this place out since it was close to my location. I read a bad review but that usually doesnt deter me. I arrived around 5:40 with 2 barbers, 1 male and 1 female. They both had 2 clients and 3 people waiting. No worries, but entered and stood there waiting to be acknowledged. I was never acknowledged. So I sat down and waited. 3 more people entered after me. The male barber completed his client at approximately 6:10. Still he didnt acknowledge any of the patrons waiting and proceeded to clean his chair and station, which is normal. Whats not normal is he proceeded to sweep the entire floor, taking his time and sweeping the entire area of both stations. Going in the back to get the dust pan, bending down ever so easily to sweep the remains of hair in to the dustpan and ensuring that he emptied the hair into trash. And while doing this, the female finished with her client and still not acknowledging the patrons, but simply calling who's next. By this time there were 6 of us waiting. Sweeping up hair would have been the least of my concerns. I'm a female that wears a mans haircut. I was potentially a new client, but after experiencing this lack of professionalism and courtesy, I will not be returning or recommending this establishment. Your only as good as your reputation. So I went and saw Kimmy at Fantastic Sam's and she fixed me right up. read more
