I know I only look 21 and my son is…read more16 years old. lol This year has been a change for the positive in my opinion, there is more communication from the school as well as my sons Teachers. I am not sure if it is the change in Administration or what but it is a great change. On last night 2/7/19 we attended Literacy Night and I must say I was very impressed. The Teachers were very engaged and so were the Students and Families that attended. The presentation consisted of the use of graphic organizers and if your group felt the presentation used beautiful language, strong language or persuasive language. There were no right or wrong answers only answers with supporting context. The School should definitely plan more family engaging activities that support academic growth. For the most part the presentation was organized , started on time and ended promptly at 7:00 and provided light refreshments afterwards. I only have 2 critiques. It seems that more Parents attend than what they planned for so there was limited seating. I am not sure if my Son failed to tell us about Literacy Night but I received the invitation the day of the event. But I was able to make arrangements and attend. All the ELA, Reading and Literacy Teachers should've attended to support their actual Students.

I enrolled my son at Arlington Christian School in his 6th grade year. Arlington is a small…read morecommunity where the administration and teachers truly cares for the scholars. The classrooms are small which is wonderful, one-on-one with the teacher and scholars brings more attentiveness with no distractions. The most important thing for me is that Arlington is family. When it comes to safety, I do not worry when I dropped him off because I knew he was in good hands. My son is a senior c/o 2025 and I can say when it came to his education, I made the right choice. I say all the time, that Arlington is a hidden jewel. I am an active parent and do not mind volunteering anytime. Thank You Arlington!!!!!

I am a former student here and graduated in 2024. I was part of the choir in the FAME magnet…read moreprogram, and my little sister, who graduates in a week, is part of the band in the FAME magnet program. I would like to preface that everything that I am today is because of this program and I wouldn't change a thing, because it got me to where I am today and I am extremely proud of everything I have accomplished. Trey Giddens and Ashley Cleavland changed my life, and I would do it all over again if I meant I got to work with them. My little sister has been granted the opportunity to attend Berklee the School of Music because of this program and helped prepare her when applying. This program offers amazing things. However, to say the least, I am extremely disappointed in this school's administrative team that runs it. To make an extremely long story short, when I first joined the program, it was explained to me that once I became a senior, any leftover balance, in the positive, due to fundraising or excess payment, would be returned to me as a scholarship at the annual FAME awards. Granted, this could have been a different policy for the choir program than the band program. However, my little sister had $208 in excess funds that suddenly got transferred to the program's personal finances while my family was still under the impression they would receive it to help fund her future education. There have been several administrative changes since I was a freshman there, including a different magnet director every year for the past 6 years. The lack of documentation regarding finances and student expectation or accolades has been extremely neglected and needs serious attention. I know this review will do nothing to fix the situation my family is dealing in regards to the program, so my only hope is that this post will ring in someone's ear and draw some attention towards the fact that Moffett shouldn't be in charge of the programs finances and outside help may be warranted. Thank you for your time if you finished reading this. I'd like to reiterate that this program built me as a human and it's good for those who live for the fine arts. It just needs serious administrative reconsiderations.

This is our 2nd year at Landmark, and we couldn't be happier. There's no such thing as a perfect…read moreschool, but our three children are thriving here! I started with one child in high school, one in middle, and one in elementary, and I love that they stand by their mission to prepare each student to impact the world for Jesus Christ. I appreciate that there's a partnership with the parents and the school. It's not just the school's responsibility to teach my children academics and character, but rather they encourage parent participation! The teachers legitimately care for the students and go beyond their workday to communicate with me should there be something to discuss. As for college preparedness, my Junior has tools to help her decide on colleges. They have two counselors to help guide students each step of the way. Not to mention, they offer AP classes and several Dual Enrollment classes to help aid with the cost of college. They are open to hearing from parents and their concerns. In middle school, their principal is sweet and kind, but knows when to be stern. I adore their assistant principal as well. Elementary is precious and I love all the field trips and hands on activities that are available. The entire school has access to gardening and earth sustainable teachings as well! They have two gardens that they harvest throughout the year where students can sample their plants (they make amazing salsa). And to even talk about their academies and special interest classes (such as filmmaking, fashion design, engineering, aviation, art) just blew me away when I toured the school. I wasn't sold on the school until I toured it! Can't recommend it enough!

We were specially told that she wouldn't be a fit because if the discussion came up in class amongst the other children that we weren't married, it would make other children think it was ok. Mind you, my daughter then was 5, and scoring above average in reading and math. We were told to come back when married and now that I am, I would NEVER enroll my daughter there. They should be ashamed of themselves. And they're supposed to be a Christian school. And of course we're African American.
