New Dr.s acted like I was crazy while stating ,and defending my case about the current medications I was taking , and how I the previous Dr. and I finally got to where we were. The P.A. ( I won't state her name ) , took me off 90% of my meds with the ones they thought I should be taking in a minute flat ( not even kidding) . It took my Dr, and I years ,to finally find that sweet spot to where I the patient and Dr., found the correct combination of meds that worked, but she evidently disagreed. So.why would these new Dr.s totally disregard this. I do understand ethics, and opinions, but there was no working with her , and she let me know that right off the bat where she stood. I mean- are they working for some specific pharmaceutical company ? , or just hate their job? Why on earth would anyone go back to these Dr.s, it's-ridiculous ! Oh and they're not afraid to show you the door if you happen to disagree. Here's an idea: If it's not broken, don't try to fix it !! . She's thorough, and you really feel like she's ruling things out as she asks you questions. You really can't ask for more from a GP. Facility is always clean, and the wait is typically minimal. The longest that I think I've waited is 15 minutes in the lobby. Once you're a patient, appointments are fairly easy to secure. Most times I can get in same-day. Note that Dr. Taylor doesn't work 5 days/week (I believe she is off on Thursday, but there is another doctor in the practice).

I went to Dr. Levine as my pcp and gyne for a couple of years…read more When I was having regular migraines out of the blue, she said she didn't know why, and said they probably weren't migraines (they were localized headaches with an aura and vomiting). She prescribed me an antidepressant, with no other follow up to try and determine the cause. I didn't like the drug, so I tapered off of it. At my next appt, she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't offer any other tests or solutions, than to say it might be an allergy. (After about 2 years, the migraines stopped as suddenly as they started.) I had a mole removed that she said she wasn't going to bother sending for biopsy, even though it had become itchy and reddish. Then the kicker was when I went in after having menstrual spotting every day for over a month. I told her that my periods had always beem highly irregular (I was in my late 20's at this point) and that despite not using an sort of birth control regularly, I had never gotten pregnant. She said that it sounded on paper like PCOS but that she wasn't going to test me for it because I don't "look like" I have it. Then she said I probably can't have kids, and that's that, and sent me out thw door to schedule my next routine appt. I did not schedule another appointment. A couple of years later my husband and I started trying to have a kid. I skipped the ob-gyn and went straight to a fertility specialist. Not only was I immediately diagnosed with PCOS that I've likely had since puberty, but the years of not being diagnosed and treated for it had lead to a precancerous endometrial growth. The best thing I ever did for my health was to find a different doctor.
