STELLAR SERVICE! I…read moreonly had a day left on my trip to Florida, so I called the shop to ask if I could borrow some snorkel gear for a quick dip at Sebastian. I had a great conversation with Joe, who was at the shop fixing some gear. Joe asked great questions, and found that I am a licensed SCUBA diver. He told me about a world-class SCUBA area nearby where I could do a shore dive. Not only did he give me some great information, and stay at the shop to help me check out gear, but he offered to meet me near my hotel (about 30 minutes from the shop) for me to drop off the gear. The shop was to be closed the following day, and he wanted me to be able to go on the dive trip! The dive was incredible! I was able to explore a ship wreck, see a tiny octopus in a bottle, commune with eels and explore both a small reef area and the sea grass in search of sea horses. I can't believe I almost missed this treasure. The next day, Joe called me when he was in town, and actually came by my hotel and picked up the gear from me so we could make our flight on time. This is completely unheard of in the SCUBA world. A local business with kind folks and great service. I wish they were my local shop!

I knew they would need some guidance since we do not live nearby. I also wanted them to have good equipment so we gave them the masks and snorkels as a Christmas gift. Kendra was extremely helpful to them and assured them if they had any problems with mask leakage, they could return them. They are very excited and appreciative of the time and patience Kendra took with them. Will you pay a bit more than online? Yes you will. But you won't get the superior customer service and that is worth a few bucks to me. Support small business I say! I'm sure you will have a longtime customer with those two. Highly recommend the 6am tour as you get viewing time before it gets really busy. I really appreciate Birds Underwater as they do a great job educating you about the manatees and how to passively observe. Made the manatees more comfortable and as a result we got to have some amazing interactions with them.

All around amazing!!…read more I don't have enough good things to say about Ultimate Dive. Ken and Laura are not only very nice people, but also very helpful and knowledgeable about diving. My husband and I were looking to go on a dive trip for our honeymoon. My heart was set on Indonesia as I didn't want to go some where "touristy" like the Caribbean, but at the time we were looking to go, there was a bomb scare in the area, which made us look for another destination. Ken suggested Matangi in Figi and I am so glad that he did. It was absolutely perfect. We were able to get the cultural non-touristy experience we were looking for as the Fijian people are so welcoming and offer a variety of activities where you can visit and spend time with them in their local villages. We also had amazing diving with a really great guide from the resort and wonderful relaxation and pampering that comes with being on your honeymoon. Ken was so easy to deal with when setting up the trip. He gave us lot of options for when we wanted to go and suggestions on the best ways to travel - he even booked us a day room when we had a long lay over between flights, which again ended up being a great suggestion. Bought an air fill card which was recently denied by the owner, Tanya Neville. She stated that…read morethey no longer honor those cards and haven't for at least 5 years yet we pre-paid for 25 refills and had 8 fills remaining PLUS we had tanks filled last year. This is FRAUD! She bought the business from her ex-husband on 4/9/25. Since then, the store has gone downhill. She hired kids (which is good) but they are under 18 and cannot fill tanks legally so we left our tanks. When we inquired about hours, we were told they would be opened until 4:00pm but when we drove 45 minutes we found the store closed with no signs on the door. We tried calling but they don't have voice mail set up. She said she gets "thousands of calls" and didn't want to set it up. Employees park in the parking spot reserved for loading/unloading tanks so we had to walk our tanks across the parking lot. We will not be using their shop any longer and I would others to stay away. There are better dive shops in the area.
