This place offers rentals, lessons and events. Wednesday women only paddle and Saturday evening sunset paddles. They might have sunrise sometimes too but a wee bit too early for me. Paddle right along Turkey Creek. I have my own SUP but they allow you to go out from there without fee or rental. The employees lead the groups. Loved our visit to Paddling Paradise from start to finish! Such a stunning paddle through the beautiful sanctuary, we were lucky enough to see baby dolphins and two manatees up close and personal. The shop has a little bit of everything including water and sunscreen if you left yours at home. Highly recommend upgrading to a Hobie pedal powered kayak... unless you have super strong arms and tenacity. For a family paddle, Hobie was perfect. Highly recommend! read more

These guys and gals are great. Not only do they offer the best in kayak, canoe, paddleboards and accessories but they allow people to test out boats and paddles. If you know me then you know there are two things that terrify me... spiders and anything aquatic. So needless to say that I was hesitant when presented with the opportunity to try kayak for the first time with my two boys (9 & 5 years old.) After working up a bit of courage and with the help of their friendly staff - I am so glad we stepped out of our comfort zone. My family had a blast and we made memories that we will hold onto forever. So yes, I would recommend this place. Yes, I will be going back. It was great. I wasn't going to post this. I had seen a scheduled time on meetup to go out at 545pm. So I added that we would go, by commiting on meet up. Then I sent a message on meet up saying we would want to rent kayaks. So at 545 we got there, and the group went out at 445. We missed it. So we rented one for 30 min. Why 2 stars? The manager put on meet up that that yes.... they had the wrong time. But it was my fault because we should have registered for the event. There was no requirement on meet up to register. I did send them a message. They didn't answer. Yeah, their msg was the last straw. You better call and make sure they are on schedule. read more

My wife and I just did the Eco Tour out of Paddling Paradise. An awesome experience from the check in to the tandem kayak for the jittery wife and I. I have to get her in her own kayak, hopefully PP will help me with that. They are very friendly, informative, easy going staff. The Eco Tour guide John was incredibly knowledgeable, a man of vast experiences. We felt humbled to listen and follow his stories, as a student would to his professor. The manatee were all around us on the tour. The wind had been strong ESE 15-20, but we convinced John we could make it. Turned out to be a great workout for both couples on the tour. And a great time as well. Look forward to getting the wife back there for a couple hours of practice to pilot her own kayak. read more

This is the one place that has it all. They have all the major SUP brands,kayaks,accessories ,paddles,even those water proof bags to keep youre cel phone safe and dry. Another big bonus.. They are right on the canal to test out new a SUP or kayak,take lessons or go on one of their group palddling excursions. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly with a no pressure sales attitude.. Great place on the canal that opens up into the river by the bridge. Great date place. We rented a kayak and paddled out towards the open waters and bridge and were blessed with about 6 dolphins who were playing together. Luckily I had my waterproof camera with me and was able to film them with audio and video as they went under our kayak. Truly a great time and experience to be so close to them. I went to this place with my sister who was in town visiting. The prices are very reasonable! It was 2 people, for 2 hours, for only $35.00. You can't beat that, especially when most places were double or triple. The only thing that I would have liked, is if the guy would have showed us some of the SUP techniques in the water as it was both of out first times. The SUP's were both nice.
