We were looking for a place to stay near Fairview and discovered Cummings Lake Campground. It's…read morejust north of town next to a small lake. The campground sites are surprisingly well treed and large. In fact our 19ft trailer looked almost lost in the huge site that we reserved. There was one potential problem and that's the location of the power outlet. They are all located at the entrances to the campsites where you normally expect to see the site number. Fortunately we had a heavy duty extension cord that we've carried around for years. I knew the day would come when that RV extension cord would be needed. Even with the extension cord we needed to park our trailer further forward in the site than we normally would have liked hut it all worked out fine. We were a short walk from the shower room which was always very clean. It uses a number keypad so that only guests can use it. There's a play area for children and what appears to be a museum of sorts under construction. We noticed these in many of the communities in the Peace River area. They move an old school and church to the site and gradually add more old buildings. I'm not certain if it's part of the campground or just happens to be right next to it. Perhaps in 2021 it will be finished and open. There's no trailer dump station in the campground yet but there is a free one at the south end of Fairview near the Chevrolet Dealer. I certainly wouldn't hesitate to camp here again if we had a reason to return to Fairview. As a sidenote I was really pleased with the look of Fairview. Many of these smaller communities look a little run down but Fairview seemed very clean with many newer homes. It's really quite a nice place and they even have their own brewery.

Terrible hospitality. We are refugees of the fort nelson wildfire. We travelled from Nelson to…read morecummngs lake with whatever we could pile in our truck and 5th wheel. That is everything that we now own. The owners knew about our situation and offered us refuge in our time of need. We got two days into the stay and the Man of the park came walking into our campground pounding on our doors and yelled and cursed and screamed saying we had 1 hour to vacate or he was calling the police. he came back 3 or more times and followed us out of the campgrounds. We were forced to leave so quickly that we had to leave our slip tank behind and was told that we were not to come back and get it and that he would press charges if we were found back on the property. I mean yeah sure she offered us free refuge for 3 days but then turned around and forcef removed us, making threats of police and of violence. Complaining that we didn't pay and that we had a lot of stuff in our lot. It was in fact all that we owned and had to leave so fast had to leave more things behind. what has become of this world. Thanks Cummings lake for your god damn hospitality . I hope you guys rot. Fuc*ing pathetic ! Do not camp here. Horrible hospitality and service.
