I went in for a consultation, and the appointment started 30 minutes late. Unfortunately, most of the time was spent trying to sell me on a new technique that was completely different from what I wanted. To make matters worse, the scheduling coordinator stopped me on the way out and became extremely pushy. I understand they've been operating without a manager for a few months, but I would expect someone to step in and cover that role during an extended leave. This review is for the injector, Cara and the aesthetician, Nicole. First off I just want the world to know how fabulous Cara is! Long story short, I got a lip filler botched job done about 3 years ago. I was terrified to explore that world again. Well, I was getting the itch. I had a friend who had been to Cara before and had rave reviews. So, I thought I'd give her a shot (after stalking all her social media of course )! I booked for a lip consultation and Dysport. When I was in the room with Cara, I told her all my concerns. Botox never works well for me and I always prefer Dysport. Easy. Onto the lips- I told her that I was absolutely terrified to get them done. Not only was I nervous about the outcome but I was terrified of the pain. Literally was having full blown anxiety! Cara assured me that I was going to handle it fine and started showing me some photos. Somehow in 10 mins she gained my trust and before I knew it I had numbing cream smeared half way across my face! I was IN! Once she started I was like "oh.. this isn't bad at all"! We decided on purchasing an entire syringe but only using half (Restylane) and then making a follow up apt for 3 weeks to use the other half to avoid any stretching, over filling or me just plain freaking out and having buyers remorse. Needles to say after everything settled, I was ready for more! Today was week 3. My Dysport didn't give the results I was looking for so Cara went ahead and touch up my areas of concern with no questions asked. I also got my other half of the syringe. She is TRULY an artist! Every prick she makes is extreme thought and precise! So obsessed! I made another apt to come back for more right before X-Mass. If you're looking for an injection, don't look any further! Now onto Nicole! I booked a Diamond Glow treatment with her. I felt like my face just needed a little "pick me up". She was awesome! Not pushy at all! She didn't try to sell me thousands of dollars or products (I probably would've bought them though! You should see her skin!) or a package or treatments. She listened to my concerns and told me what she would recommend and we just went from there. The treatment was very soothing and I instantly noticed a rejuvenation in my skin. It did just "glow" different. As far as pricing- the Dysport and lips cost me $1000 even. I didn't have some points/coupons to use. I think before that it was $1040 (pretty average if you ask me) the lips were 650 and the Dysport was 390ish. Diamond Glow treatment was $175 and the serum we used was an extra $25. Her NP is a real unstable person​, very moody not kind. The doctor does not have the skills she thinks she has regarding face-lift! I have seen both Nicole for the hyapen and then Cara for lip injections, and they are the sweetest and most amazing girls! Let me tell ya, it took me 3 years to grow the b*lls to get my lips done! This will be a long review but if you are planning on going there PLEASE READ THIS. If I could give them 0 stars I would. This was by far the worst experience I've had at a doctors office in my whole life. I went in to remove a lesion in the middle of my forehead right before Thanksgiving last year. Everything went smoothly until they took my sutures out. They scheduled an appointment 10 days after my procedure however Dr. Burke was going out of town for Thanksgiving so they ended up rescheduling the sutures removal 5 days earlier. After about a week the scar re-opened. I called in and and let them know what is going on, I literally had a big open wound in the middle of my face. One of the staff members, Samantha, told me that they cannot take me in and if I think that the scar needs to be restitched I need to go to an Urgent Care (which is ridiculous) she was also very rude to me on the phone. Not knowing what else to do I did end up going to an Urgent Care office where they told me they believe the sutures were simply taken out too soon and that is why the scar reopened. They also told me I have to go back to the Dr that did it as they can only stitch fresh wounds, not correct a plastic surgeon's work! I ended up paying $120 for the visit that no one even bothered to refund me for. After the visit I emailed Dr Burke and let them know what the other doctor said. They probably got scared then because they finally wanted me to come in. When I came in they had to reopen my scar again and basically redo the whole thing. I will also mention I had to take an additional day off at work because of this. So you would think everything would be going great from there right? Well it wasn't the case. Because the scar was already reopened the first time there was puss collecting on the right side of the scar which caused the new sutures they put in to loosen up. Because of this the scar ended up looking uneven - just a reminder this is right in the middle of my face. The second time they took the sutures out they put skin glue on the scar to make sure it will not reopen. Why wasn't this done in the first place? After all wasted time and looking ridiculous for weeks I reached out to them to ask what we can do to make this uneven scar look better. Guess what? i BARELY got any response back. They told me they can do microneedling for $300/treatment or $750 for a package of 3 treatments.... for something THEY did not do right! I requested them to send me all paperwork including what was used, why the scar re-opened etc and I still do not have what I requested. I cannot imagine doing a bigger procedure like breast implants at this place. They do not care about their patients at all. I am including pictures of what my forehead looked like when the scar re-opened - I had to walk like this for about a week! read more

After years of saving and wanting breast implants I finally scheduled and had the surgery performed by Dr Burke. I was trying to get the surgery done fairly quickly so my consultation and scheduling were pretty back to back. Dr Burke is double board certified and very personable. However, immediately after my surgery I started noticing that my breasts look like two different sizes. Initially the dr said they looked a little off but that I should wait it out and see. I waited 8 wks and then told her I still felt they were off. She said she couldn't measure me on the machine anymore and that they didn't look off at all to her (she took a pic with her iPad and tried showing me her view). A few weeks later I was losing it thinking I was going crazy so I scheduled a second opinion. I went in to the dr and simply asked him to review my breasts. Immediately he said my breasts were two different sizes and shapes because she only periolar lifted one side. On top of that he said one of my stitches was coming out and I needed to get that looked at so it didn't get infected. I made another appointment with Dr Burke. This time after having my second opinion she admitted that my breasts were uneven. Then she told me two different procedures that may work to fix it, hesitated, and then settled on one. I left trying to be positive but came home more confused. Why did she say I was making a big deal about this and that they weren't uneven and then now saying that she'd keep the one breast at 485ccs and the other maybe a 560!!!! That's a big difference! I was quoted almost $3000 to fix the unevenness which after discussing with friends and family am feeling is a total sham. She charged me almost $11000 to get this procedure done and now I'm left looking at my breasts constantly trying to hide what I notice as uneven. And to fix this I'm told to pay $3000 more and it may POSSIBLY be fixed. I have a lot of surgeons in my family so when she says she'll eat some cost to perform the surgery I know that's not true. I know it's not free for the dr to redo a surgery but when you've charged someone 11 grand for breasts and then they are uneven I believe that's something that a good surgeon would correct for the sake of their reputation. So my review of the matter is that I feel like the procedure left me with insecurities when it was supposed to do the opposite. I feel like my experience with Dr Burke was not what I paid for and not what I had looked forward to for so long. read more

I had breast argumentation done by Dr. Burke (twice) 1st time one unfortunately dropped noticeably lower than the other one did so we went in for another surgery to replace the implants that were currently in & go a tiny bit bigger. I'd recommend her to everyone & anyone!!! The staff, the nurses, obviously DR BURKE, the anesthetist & everyone else that works there is very reasonable, very personable, and extreme rly helpful and caring. Dr Burke really makes you feel good and does everything in her power to make sure you're satisfied with your results. Of course it's expensive, come on, it's cosmetic procedures that all have to come out of your own pocket. But trust me, it's WORTH EVERY PENNY. I'm glad I found her and was able to put my trust in her throughout the entire process(es). Also would like to boast to you Dr. Burke, you are flawless & so beautiful. We had a challenging experience post surgery. Dr. Burke forgot to include the date on my husband's pain medication script post surgery. The pharmacy by law could not fill the medication. The doctor mentioned that my husband would have significant pain post surgery so I was nervous that we did not have a way to fill the script. I phoned Dr. Burke's on call line. It took her quite a while to respond. I had to call back a second time before I received a call. When she did call she has very angry on the phone and accused me of interrupting another surgery. It felt awful to be treated that way when she made the mistake on the Rx. Meanwhile my husband was very uncomfortable and we never did get the proper pain meds. Dr. Burke was angry over the phone with the pharmacist, but by law they cannot fill the pain meds without a properly script when it comes to narcotics. I have had better experience dealing with doctors who work in a group because they can take turns being on call. They have more time to properly address patients' needs and emergencies that arise. We will be looking for a different practice if we have any needs in the future. Responding to your post: this incident of an incomplete script occurred at the Alexian Brothers Hospital in Elk Grove Village. It did not occur in your fancy office. It was a few years ago so that is why you may not be finding it. This mistake on the script was not really the issue for us, the problem was how we were treated when we called in to have it corrected. read more

I came here last month to get filler from Jan the nurse injector. I had a horrible experience. I've had under eye filler done twice in the past by a plastic surgeon in Chicago and had a great experience. I was looking for someplace new that is equally as good as the place in the city, but wanted something closer to home. I booked the appointment almost three months in advance and was told to pay a 50 dollar few to "book my spot" to ensure I made the appointment; that money would then be included towards the final cost of the service. Well, Jan refused to do the service because she didn't think I needed more filler (the last time I had any was over a year ago) and said I wouldn't be happy with the end result. I told her I've had it done and liked it and would want the service. She then stated she "didn't want to do it but would if I really wanted it" I told her yes multiple times and she kept repeating that she didn't want to do it while winking at me. Honestly worst experience and very uncomfortable for me. I then called the next day telling them that I was unhappy about my experience with Jan and would like my 50 dollars back since I never received service. I was told that I would receive a call back from the manager but never did. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Never coming back to this place again. I had a really awful experience with Renee Burke, MD. I went to her for multiple procedures after she was highly recommended by another physician. Not only am I disappointed with the results, (which I paid a large sum of money for) but her bedside manner was terrible. She was short, impatient and totally lacking in compassion. My surgery lasted 8 hours and it was quite an ordeal. I paged her several days after surgery at 9 pm because I was alone, in a lot of pain and scared. She returned the page coldly stating, "This is Dr. Burke returning your "emergent" phone call"..as if to imply that this had darn well better be an emergency. I explained what I was going through and she seemed very annoyed and told me I was fine, as if I were acting like a big baby. I said, "Well I guess I just needed some reassurance", to which she tersely replied, "If all my patients called me for reassurance at 9 pm I would have no family life". I honestly felt traumatized by her complete lack of tenderness or empathy. I felt like she didn't care about me at all as a human being. She got her money and she was done with me. She really needs to step down from her high horse and develop some compassion. It left me with the impression that she is in her career for the money and prestige, not because she really cares about her patients. I took the time to write her a letter telling her how I felt and that I thought I deserved an apology. She never responded. I guess her ego won't allow for such humility. Then the md came out and asked me to remove the review, that she was sorry about how I was treated, and so I ended up in a hour conversation where she tried to convince me they didn't deserve the review. When I mentioned that I was told I was disruptive for 1x ouch outburst as the np was putting a needle in my breast the response was that she was informed that it was very loud. The second issue I'm confused about is how she called my husband without my signature and agreement to this? She said I had a sticky note on my chart that said that. Huh? Sticky note?? I'm just very upset as I was diagnosed with cancer at 36 and I was 8 months pregnant. I went through a lot with chemo, radiation, mastectomy. And to hear that I was disruptive to the office because I was in pain during a procedure, then being told if that occurred they wouldn't be able to treat me?? So finally I received my medical records which show I didn't give permission for anyone to call my husband. Frankly they acted like they cared as they stressed how I should remove my post. Finally the md came and spoke with me which I found hilarious since I met her 2x since I was a patient there. I first came to Dr. Burke's office because I was interested in Coolsculpting. The office is so inviting and the staff is so friendly!
