Most companies take back product no matter what the condition whether it's open or not if the patient/customer is dissatisfied. Also, the doctor claimed each vial lasted for 24 hours... oops it's 8 hours (she didn't read the 24 hours was just patient testimonials. I also noticed that negative reviews about this practice disappear, while patients are solicited to post positive ones in exchange for free treatments. Unfortunately, I deeply regret that decision based on how I've felt treated afterward. Only five months after surgery, I asked about exchanging my implants for a larger size. I was initially quoted $10,500, later reduced to $5,500 under local anesthesia, still including another $1,750 surgeon's fee. I offered $3,000 and then $3,750, hoping there would be some consideration for a patient who had just spent over $22,000. Both were declined and I was told $5,500 was firm. My follow-up appointments frequently felt rushed as well. Driving four hours round trip only to feel like there was barely time to discuss my concerns made the entire experience feel increasingly transactional. I expected the level of care and attention after surgery to match what I experienced while deciding to spend $22,000 with the practice. It did not. The billing process was equally frustrating. I had to specifically request an itemized receipt, and the liposuction performed during my surgery wasn't even identified on it. I only learned it was included in the facility fee after questioning why it was missing. I never expected another surgery for free. I expected transparency, reasonable consideration and to feel valued after making such a significant investment. Instead, I've been left feeling that my value as a patient dramatically changed once my original surgery was paid for. I genuinely wanted to remain Dr. Burke's patient. It was explained that "touch up" surgery if needed, was included at no cost after the full recovery period. At the 9month post op, i was given the opportunity to schedule for the touch up two days later the post op appointment. I had to decline due to work. It was then explained that they held a wait list for the "free touch up" and there was a fee if I wanted a guaranteed date. Due to the holidays I waited and left my name on the waiting list.... Not sure what the waitlist process really was. As it was not explained, 4 months later it became difficult to know when I would be next. Once I decided to pay the additional fee, I was offered a date the following week. Again, due to work I was not able to accept. It became what felt like a begging game to have communication with the person who handles the "waiting list". Dr Farias team would greatly benefit from service recovery training and an efficient communication policy/process in the event the "free touch up" is requested by patient. Although my surgical results are not symmetrical, the surgery process was just as expected, surgery was safe and had no complications. Considering it is a cosmetic and elective procedure, I will not continue to recommend to friends based on the poor communication at the end.
