Called the store. A human answered, pretty quickly. I mentioned the guitar and my interest. He went and physically found the guitar, so that we could talk about it. My budget only allowed for a certain amount, so I made him an offer. He said yes, if I came in today, we could do that. When I came in, I found the guitar needed some work. Nothing too bad, but above my skill set to make it really shine. As I left, I thanked him. He thanked me also, and said, "Now you don't have to wonder about it!" The rest of the world may be somewhere between 2026 and 2097, but Rumble Seat Music is a portal back to my first music store experiences in the early 1990s.

Sure, $320 a month isn't cheap,…read morebut breaking it down into a weekly lesson and a band rehearsal actually amortizes pretty well. I walked into my trial lesson fully intending to sign up. I wanted private instruction to help me move past the intermediate plateau--learning the fretboard deeply rather than just robotically regurgitating tabs. Unfortunately, the trial was highly disorganized. While the instructor was a skilled player, he ran a complex exercise that didn't match the baseline I had explicitly laid out. Instead of pivoting when I clearly struggled, we just burned through the clock. Worst of all, we spent zero time on what is supposed to be the core School of Rock curriculum: breaking down specific song parts to learn the technicals. Just as we were finally about to start, he ended the lesson early. Assuming the trial lesson was meant to mirror a regular lesson, I was shorted a significant chunk of the advertised time. This place seems excellent for beginners, and I'd highly recommend it for kids. But the onboarding for adults needs work. When I gave honest, non-harsh feedback to the studio manager about my experience, the response was a rigid ultimatum: no further trials, but I could pay $65 for an extra lesson or just commit to a full month to "see how it feels." I might still roll the dice on a month because the performance-based concept is incredibly cool, but hitting a warm lead with a low-effort cash grab after a provably bad first impression isn't great salesmanship. It feels like a massive risk to drop that much cash on a "maybe."

I like the safe and nurturing environment for my kids as well. The owner is very hands on and because she is a mom I know she gets it. I like that she treats my kids like her own and runs a tight ship. The only blip was when she hired a GM from another music program who was rude and just didn't get it but they fixed that issue quickly and the program is moving forward once again. I would highly recommend taking your kids to any of the Schools of Rock here in this area - they are top notch in every way and I love the shows.

The instructors are so good, fun and really work well with kids and adults and the new facility is top notch. They have had the chance to play with really good musicians and at great venues. Over the years, we have tried lots of things, and they have outgrown the instruction or interest, this one stands the test of time. My 17 year old senior plays the drums and this is the highlight of her week-still. Love this place and cannot beat the opportunities and quality. You cannot go wrong with starting and staying here. Paul was outstanding in every facet of my recent Fender Authorized Warranty claim. I had a Tele…read morethat I'd gotten which had a neck that was completely out whack to where the strings wouldn't line-up properly across the board (high-E falling off the board). Most of the time this is fixable with a quick adjustment but on this body there had been 6-8 holes drilled and it just wasn't happening. Paul went through the trouble of dealing with Fender's warranty claim service for me and went to bat for me like no other when it came to ensuring I got taken care of. Not only did he work hard on the end with Fender, and getting them to get me an instrument that was comparable to replace mine (which was no longer offered), but he also kept me cool and positive the entire time, ensuring me that this is the way to a happy ending, as he continued to talk to Fender on my behalf. I can't recommend Paul enough not only for his stellar customer service, his dedication to his craft and customers, but also for the work he does on setups and electronics -- I was able to see some of the instruments he worked on first-hand and his work is impeccable. Scheduling and drop-off was easy through his site and he always got right back to me; there was no lag or delay on his end. The most important thing was, he got me one of my favorite guitars to date and I can't thank him enough for all his hard work and the amazing outcome. Thank you so very much Paul!

Paul recently replaced the frets on my Jackson Adrian Smith Strat. It now plays better than ever…read more His luthier skills are exceptional. I play in a working cover band, and my guitars get a lot of use. Paul has done a fantastic job over the past decade of keeping the fret wear and intonation on my other guitars in check and making sure they are reliable. He offers excellent advice. As a result of following his guidance, the tuning of all my guitars stays very stable during gigs. He has also done maintenance on the guitars and basses for other members in our band. Combined among all of our band members, we have tens of thousands of dollars invested in our guitars, and we trust Paul's expertise entirely to maintain them. Paul has been straightforward to work with over the years, and his customer service is first class.
