Unlike many others I've been to which may or may not leave you feeling sticky... :P ;) Clean and a modern aesthetic. Very calm vibe... music is always great and on a rotation! Country, to Hawaiian reggae, to classic rock and everything in between. Now to the good stuff: The tanning beds are all luxury and KBL. Red light is incredible and definitely works. The staff: the FRIENDLIEST staff . So very very helpful and always willing to go above and beyond! All the girls are total dolls and don't just zone out on their phones but rather engage with customers and make you feel very welcomed. Willing to answer any question too!!! For reference - This is unlike many tanning salons, where the girls are usually distracted, seem bothered when you ask them questions about services, and are generally just kind of rude. NOT HERE! Actually warm and friendly women. Products: honestly... They stock some of the best items for Tanning/red light therapy in the industry and most are top sellers and are all backed up by science and research. Varying degrees of prices for products for everyone's budget. But sometimes... You get what you pay for! Meaning the more expensive tanning lotions are priced such as they are loaded with skincare ingredients, skin, tightening ingredients, etc., etc. (That's just my personal experience and take on things.) It's very clean and all the staff, including the owner, John, are very friendly and knowledgeable especially if you are a beginner. The beds are some of the best I have ever used and did not disappoint. My tan is really coming along in just a few sessions! I read the reviews before coming and I'm glad I did. I think there was one not so favorable one from a disgruntled client maybe having a bad day, but the good ones, far outweighed the bad one. If you choose LA Tanning you won't regret it.

I asked to see a break down of what I was paying for and she said "well I waived your new client fee($20) and that there isn't a 5.00 off button." A little taken back with that response which also felt like she was trying to be sneaky I told her if it's a $25 coupon you can't just void a $20 fee and think I won't notice.. she figured it out and gave me the correct discount and continued to say "well, that's what I was just told to do." Ok.... Seems shady.... Then, As I'm sitting there waiting she starts talking About me to 2 customers!!! such an uncomfortable situation! WTF all I asked for was my correct discount! I felt so uncomfortable and upset that the idea of going and laying in a "wellness pod" seemed like torture at this point. I confronted her about it and said, "I'm sorry but I wasn't trying to be mean, but only giving $20 off a $25 coupon is bad business practice".... She rolled her eyes at me and said "ok." Again wtf ... I told her forget it and asked her to just refund my package.. she couldn't figure it out and called the manager who also could not figure it out and would not talk to me since she's "off until Monday" I'm soo furious! This situation was beyond ridiculous and uncomfortable. Although, nothing was wrong per se with the salon itself, I feel the pricing is completely off for the beds and service. Normally, at a tanning salon you're paying for the customer service involved. Not cleaning your own bed, being able to ask them to restart the beds if it auto turns on and you run out of time getting lotion on, no door access needed, or hassle calling someone who may not answer, and ID checks for minors. It also seems that setting up and getting started is a bit of an issue virtually. It took about an hour to an hour and a half to get started and when I came out to do my red light session, another couple was getting set up and I couldn't wait another hour. Also, you can't "cocktail" or do red light and tan and go from room to room, you need to stop and clean and then send the time in to the room at the front and get undressed again. I also don't feel very safe with the location of this area as the abandoned Häggen is a seedy area to be vulnerable and alone in. Anyone with money can get into this establishment, they do not check licenses or ID as nobody works in the store, that's a violation of RCW 18.370.020. The highest level beds are just decent, one has some bulbs out (that they're working on) and the other is out of order (also being worked on). They're also replacing the lower tiered beds with mini saunas with red light which is cool, but cuts down significantly on your tanning ability as you need to hop in different beds to get a great tan. Lotions are priced great, but not sure if they monitor their expiration dates (12 months) as Dylan told me over the phone that they're actually good for three years or as long as they "smell good". My husband reached out about a refund less than 24 hours after we had gone as I feel VERY unsafe and dissatisfied with my first experience and Dylan asked he call to discuss "options", but we don't even have an account created? Dylan never texted my husband back, I thought it was 24/7 service? This place feels unsafe and like an easy scam.

His technique was poor - got the polish on my skin on every nail, then used his fingernail to scrape it off. He didn't fill the edges of my nails, leaving visible ridges.
