I used to clench from the off-balance of my crooked teeth (look at how big my jaw muscles were in the left photo). The mechanics of my bite were terrible, causing me to pop out fillings & crowns, wear down my teeth, and wake up with random chips in my smile ~ my wallet needed a break from constantly putting out fires. If I didn't listen to the signs and symptoms, the cost of the repairs would have gone too far and to the point where I would eventually start needing implants. During my ortho treatment, my jaw muscles stopped overcompensating and my face had slimmed to a V-shape. My teeth & jaw muscles began finding balance. Ortho saved my smile from a premature death. I know you're already imagining the confidence a straight smile will bring to your life. For me, working as a cosmetic dental hygienist.. EVERYONE looks at my smile. Does that make me a picky and high maintenance individual about my teeth? Absolutely. Am I 100% satisfied in the concluding aesthetics from my care? Ummm YES. From the first visit, the focus felt heavily on financing--she was encouraged to apply with multiple lenders, and surgery was scheduled within days. The office contacted her repeatedly during the weekend, including in the evening hours, and asked her to set up online banking access so they could see what she could put down. Once I became involved, the finance person and dentist stopped answering calls and did not respond to voicemails. She chose not to proceed and attempted to confirm she would not be charged; after that, communication stopped. She then received a $12,000 CareCredit charge, and the doctor was paid despite no surgery being performed by Aesthetic & Implant Dentistry of Atlanta. We are in an ongoing dispute with CareCredit/Synchrony, which has treated the charge as valid based on signed intake/treatment plan/financing documents, without confirming that the procedure actually took place through clinical documentation (for example: procedure notes, anesthesia record, extraction/implant charting, implant serial/lot numbers, radiographs taken day-of, dated post-op instructions, or other records tied to an actual date of service). We have filed a criminal complaint with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office. Please use caution, ask detailed questions before authorizing any financing, and consider getting multiple opinions/quotes.

I originally applied for a loan through their office for a procedure I specifically requested. After the loan was approved, I was later informed by Dr. Motoban that the procedure would no longer be possible. In spite of that, the finance company had already paid the office, and I was now obligated to repay the loan for a procedure I was no longer getting. When I requested that the loan be canceled in August, the office stopped responding. For nearly three months, they gave me the runaround and avoided assisting me in any way to rectify the situation. During this period, I was forced to pay on a loan I could not use, while the office refused to cooperate with the finance company to cancel it. My calls were screened, and messages were ignored by the office. I live an hour away, so the only way to get any type of response was to show up in person unannounced. I went into this process very insecure about my smile. They took advantage of that and knew it would fuel me to follow whatever they suggested in order to get approved for a higher loan limit. Once that higher loan was denied, they ceased all communication with me entirely. It wasn't until I began pursuing professional outside options that the office suddenly claimed everything had been an "oversight." What they refused to resolve for nearly four months, they completed in ten minutes once outside pressure was applied. When I finally went to the office in tears, the office manager's "NEW‼ assistant (Mrs. Morah) who had just started and was not involved in the earlier communication--showed genuine kindness and empathy toward me. I shared with her how this experience had terribly affected my credit. Sadly, Dr. Motoban refused to honor my cancellation request and even instructed her not to give me a receipt after I mentioned the possibility of legal action. Based on my experience, I strongly encourage potential clients to read reviews carefully, ask questions, and be cautious--especially if you are working with limited finances or relying on payment plans. Patients deserve transparency, honesty, and respectful treatment from start to finish.

I was charged $900 for the flipper and $400 for a temporary. The temporary was HORRIBLE. I was refunded for the temporary and had to wait 3 weeks without a tooth for the flipper. The flipper came, it was HUGE and did not fit so it was sent back & returned in another 2 weeks.. the second flipper came, and was TOO small & very thin... I was told to try it out and come back if need be. Less than a month later it snapped in half so I came back in, and another flipped was re-ordered. A month later still no flipper. The office told me it was the company they outsourced to that was taking a long time.. 2 months later, 3 months , 4 months later STILL NO FLIPPER. I was told they switched companies to "glide well" to make the piece for me.. 5 months later still no flipper.. I've called multiple times to speak with the Dr. Yo and have been told she's always busy all of a sudden...I decided to go with another company and I asked for a refund . I was told that if I got a refund they would charge me for the chair time , and I've been back and forth multiple times .. Dr. Thakkar listening to my concerns, wants, and goals and gave me a realistic expectation as to what I could expect if I chose Invisalign. Him and the office staff made sure that I understood the investment I was making and what would be required of me in order to have a successful treatment which I appreciated deeply. After choosing Invisalign, each and every appointment was easy. I never waited more than 5-10 and each step from scanning, attachments, trays, removal, cleaning, etc. was explained thoroughly, and I never felt rushed. Towards the end of my treatment I let the office know that I would be relocating, and they worked with me to ensure that I would be able to finish up my treatment without going to another ortho in my new town. I can say that Dr. Thakkar is experienced, professional, and does a great job. His staff is the exact same way. Seems Dr Kal is just guessing when he makes adjustments on your teeth. These were adult braces. I've had experience with braces before for my daughter and grandson both had braces but not with this terrible place. My rating is based on my experience. I had Dr Patel in the beginning of my consult. Dr. Patel stated the length of time in braces based upon my needs. I was told 12-14 months in braces. I started 11/2015 and still in braces it's now August 2017 and still counting. I requested the Damon braces which state in their advertising that time in braces may be shorter. Both my daughter and grandson had Damons but not everyone knows how to use them. So watch out. Now I'll give you Pros and cons Pros: Nice front desk staff Cons: Stay away. He tried to con me into believing my teeth were finished. Shame on you Dr Kal. This Dr. Kal wanted to remove my braces long before my teeth were done. Even his assistant Taryn told me that she doesn't suggest I come out of them before I feel they're done. You kinda expect these Orthodontist to know their jobs. Very disappointing experience. My teeth are long past the time they stated and he still couldn't get it right. Please I implore you to go someplace else for braces. I ended up going elsewhere to get my braces finished Dr Kal scheduled me at various intervals to take them off then he changed his mind. My suggestion is be sure to shop around for braces I'd find someplace else. I should have made sure to look into previous work via before and after. I shouldn't have based my smile on price. Poor workmanship isn't worth it. I figured I'd go to them since I didn't need much work but they ended up costing me more money and time in the end. Well it's not the end yet. My alignment is worse now than when I started with them. Bite is off. I've since moved on from them and am getting my braces finished elsewhere.
