I have been trying to get an X-ray here for EIGHT MONTHS. For whatever reason, these people can't seem to make it happen. First it was my insurance. Then it was a snow storm. Then it was insurance again. Then it was the doctors office scheduler. Then they didn't have the right form. Then they "stopped doing X-rays on Saturdays". Now they do not have "me in the system" even though I was in the system two days ago when I tried to have my X-ray on a Saturday. It's blowing my mind at this point. How is this place still open? One wonders. Anyway if you have any say in the matter, I would try my absolute best to avoid this place. Or you can wait eight months for a basic run of the mill X-ray. read more

Nothing is more aggravating than arriving early for a 7:30 appointment and having to wait over 35 minutes. Once in, I was out in less than 6 minutes! Staff were helpful and professional. They answered all my questions and were patient focused in their explanations of the procedure. Procedure went well. Plenty of parking. read more

7/29/2024- Easy and friendly staff that set appointment up last week. Received text and call reminders a few days before. Check in time was 7:20 am and wasn't seen until almost 8 am. Recommended to have this scan by my new primary..results will help with a baseline.. Body composition was quick and easy scan. They did say to wear clothing without any metal-and no liquids four hours prior. Although it was my first scan- more accurate to wear the gown provided.. Busy place.. but glad they did the scan! read more

This was the third MRI I was scheduled over several years with this center. They always ask if I get claustrophobia? I said yes, again, and prefer to have a tranquilizer before the test. In the earlier 2 tests they supplied the tranquilizer. In the one last week, I had changed my clothes put on the gown and the aid asked if I wanted to take a tranquilizer? I said yes. She said go ahead. I said where is the pill? She said you were to bring it with you. They never said that before that point. I was perturbed since I had waited 30 days for this appointment. They should have warned me to go to my own doc and get a tranquilizer. They did not. read more

My doctor sent two orders over for a DEXA scan and ultrasound. I called and scheduled the ultrasound since it was a private pay procedure. However, they would not let me schedule the DEXA scan because it was under insurance. They would call me. Well, fast forward two-plus weeks and I finally called them. I spoke with scheduling (I believe it was a call center out of the US given the accent and demeanor) and was told that it had already been scheduled. I had to explain that the scheduled test was for the ultrasound and NOT the DEXA scan! She seemed a bit confused but then admitted that it had been overlooked and proceeded to schedule my appointment for five weeks out. So far, not so good. I hope my actual appointments are better. I wish these places would use local people for scheduling which would give it a personal feel rather than mechanical. I worked in a busy medical office for 30 years and retired six months ago. We never switched to an automated phone system and our patients were very appreciative. read more

The receptionist wasn't very friendly when I walked in. She didn't greet me, she just said "can I have your id and insurance card." Ok. Not a big deal. It's Saturday morning, and she is young and hasn't learned courtesy. But Nicole, older, unhappy, red hair and a last name she wouldn't share, was the one that walked me back and was extremely unfriendly and borderline rude. She had zero bedside manner and made me feel very uncomfortable. What was her problem?! And why did she treat me with such animosity?! It was quite disconcerting. And then I hear Nicole gossiping with the MRI technician behind the curtains. Ick. Hopefully they cleaned the bed I laid on between patients! It is unfortunate that RDC's Saturday staff is lacking good manners. These employees are not a good representation of this location because I have been there before and have been treated with kindness and respect. If I ever choose to use this facility again, I hope Nicole with the red hair won't be there because she tried way too hard to make my experience as unpleasant as possible. read more

Beware, they are under new ownership who decided to come in and raise prices just for fun. Price of a DEXA that has been the same for at least 10 years went up to $75 from $50, then that wasn't enough so it was raised again to $125. Sad to just be milking people who are choosing to monitor their health. read more

First impression: greedy and grumpy. In thev3 phone calls and 2 texts I had in advance of my appointment, not once was I told to bring payment in full at time of service. The front desk girl was pretty grumpy when. I told her I was not able to hand over $300.00 then and there; howver I could give her a partial payment. She said I could pay up or I'd have to reschedule. Kinda shady to sprung that on someone. I have good insurance and i've never needed to pay for anything in advance. Provider bills insurance, then I pay the balance. Eventually she checked w/ her manager and I paid $50 so I could get my scan. read more

I waited on hold to make an appt for a total of 2 1/2 hours over three attempts. Walked into the office to make an appt in person. Was rudely told they do not make apps in person. My wife had referral sent but the office staff didn't respond after many phone calls. The provider said they had sent the referral many times. After being put on hold many times we decided to have the referral sent to Renown. Renown responded in hours after receiving the referral. We are scheduled for the procedure needed next week. Only not being professional on the phone they weren't polite or accommodating. I have been dealing with medical issues since 2018 and after listening to my wife how she was treated i would never use this business. Renown could not accommodate me for an important imaging appoitment, but they did quickly. They are smaller than Renown, and they made me feel they care. They are way more competent than Renown in customer service and a provider. The lady who was scheduling ensured I am taken care of, and I couldn't be more grateful to her. Renown has become a business and gradually, you will not be able to afford it with even insurance. read more

This facility is NOT ADA COMPLIANT!! There is no access ramp within 100 feet of the facility. There are only 2 handicap parking spaces for three different buildings, one is van accessible, the other in not. The front door is difficult to open when you are in a wheel chair. The staff are kind , but not very helpful. read more

I was referred here by my pcp to get a couple of X-Rays done. They were relatively easy to find in the business park. When I walked in, I could tell they were a bit busy. The front desk lady informed me that they were a little behind as they unfortunately had a power outage/computer crash that morning and it slowed things down. She was very pleasant and kind as she relayed any and all needed information. The waiting room is comfortable with plenty of seating. Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long before being called back. The technician that did my x-rays was also very pleasant and enjoyable to work with. She explained everything we were doing and answered what questions she could. The results were available in the patient portal rather quickly which was nice for a quick follow up with my PCP. I waited longer than I'm used to here. There were two ladies in the front at intake and one not so friendly, I went left to the smiling lady. I make the drive to this location for a specific lab tech. God bless her for working an extra day, so I could get squeezed in on her schedule. I have annuals that my Dr. orders, and this sweet lady is the only one who saved me from a repeated 4th appointment for the same order. I went to two other locations for this same lab, one at Renown, and the other I won't say. I guess third time is a charm?! ‍I called ahead to book my annual lab and visited this location last year, so called ahead to book here again. The sweet gentleman that called me to book my appointment was able to set me up with the one tech that always gets the pictures my Dr. wants the first time around. I feel terrible that I wanted to give her credit, but I got disconnected from her boss when I wanted her name to give her recognition. She makes my life easier and just wanted to say thank you. Her beside manner is just what it should be; makes me feel comfortable and gets me through my uncomfortable lab quickly. I appreciate her saving me a half hour and multiple visits for the same order. I had a last minute imaging request by my doctor. I already felt bad going into Reno Diagnostic so late in the day, on a Friday no doubt! They were pretty filled up but had just a tiny bit of time to get me into imaging and they did! I've only been to Reno Diagnostic a few times (even before yelp, facebook, etc) and I've always had a great experience there. Not only that, but they get their images out to the recipient right away! Have you've ever visited your doctor weeks or a month after pictures/xrays and have them say "we didn't receive the images".... That's HORRIBLE! Doesn't happen with Reno Diagnostic Centers ! Had an amazing Bryan schedule a few appointments. He was helpful , polite and very professional. Bryan went up and above to help me get everything done in a timely manner. I had been trying to get a mammogram scheduled for months but the Dr Chris Cross office.( her nurse ) kept sending the wrong code. 5 times I had went to the office myself. He contacted their office and got the right code sent after 7 months of the doctors office staff not doing it right as I kept trying to explain it to them. And the importance of this exam too. Out 3 years for their neglect already. It was urgent. I finally got scheduled. He got it done. So this gentleman deserves a big hand for being a great asset to Reno Diagnostic Center for taking care of their patients. And having great care and understanding about their needs. This is a difficult review to write. First because the staff; from the front desk to the x-ray technician in the back are all lovely sweet ladies. I've been to this location twice for x-rays. This last time I needed to have views of my left knee since I had a bad fall downstairs right before Christmas...great. This is a very busy location, both times I have been. This time all the Covid protocols were in place. They had a gal in the entrance way set up for taking your temperature and asking the usual questions. My husband could not accompany me. This was fine since it was super busy and all the seats were taken. It was difficult to distance a good amount. I didn't have to wait too long, only about 10 minutes after my appointment time. I had them sent to my current G.P. The good news is I didn't have a fracture but I can tell I tore something in there because the pain is pretty significant. I was getting totally ignored by my G.P.'s office big time. A sweet gal that works for the Orthopedic Surgeon that I went to 2 years ago referred me to ROC urgent care. You can just show up and and see the doctor on duty. He had the x-rays sent over from the G.P.'s office and he said the x-rays were totally unreadable and they were! So we had to do another set of them (my insurance company's gonna be thrilled ) and this time they did 6 views. The big difference is at Reno Diagnostics I had to undress completely and at ROC I stayed in my clothing... The machine must be ancient at Reno Diagnostics...Please be forewarned if you need x-rays... I saw them myself and even though I'm not a physician, I can clearly see Nothing! Very bad! I don't know if it was the machine or the technician. I'm not sure who is a fault but don't go there for your x-rays! read more

I called to inquire about walking in for an Xray. I was told yes I could and the best location to go to was the Eureka location. I drove to the location and the reception told me they do not do the type of Xray that was ordered however the South Reno location could help me. I drove to S Reno location and they checked me in and told me my waiting time would be approximately 2 hours. After waiting 2.5 hours the receptionist called me up to the desk and told me they apologize but they do not do type of Xray that was ordered. I then called the scheduling line to inquire why they could not do the Xray, I was on hold for 56 minutes, the person told me they should be able to do the Xray. I asked for a manager and was told they were in a meeting and would call me back. I never received a call back. I then walked into Renown on Double Diamond and they bent over backward to help me. I was in and out with my Xray being complete in less than 15 minutes. Patient beware, do not go to Reno Diagnostics, go to Renown. read more

Rude front office staff! I was not greeted and stood there for 5-6 minutes while 2 employees talked to each other- neither one acknowledging me at all. Then I had to listen to the other one berate this poor woman who swore she had a bone density test 4 days ago, telling her the computer said she hasn't had it. Basically calling her a liar until the woman went and got her husband from the car. Good thing the technicians are friendly, quick and efficient or I wouldn't come here. read more

They don't bother answering the phone when trying to schedule an appointment, which means they don't provide patient centered care. They provide "Reno Diagnostic Center" centered care, aka they put the convenience of staff above the safety and health needs of patients. read more

If you need to schedule with them just go in and schedule it's faster and easier than dealing with them over the phone. Sat on hold for 25 minutes just for them to "accidentally" hang up on me and I had to call back and sat on hold for another 19 mins to realized they closed 15 minutes into my last phone call. Doesn't make sense to me on why I'd need 40 plus minutes on hold for them to never answer. And the fact they hung up on me just shows they don't care for their patients. Calling my primary care Dr to find somewhere else for imagining because like I started with just go in to schedule because more than one of my friends told me they dealt with the same type of situation. I'm in a lot of pain and for them to treat people like this when they know that imagining is important for people to be able to move forward with treatment and to find solutions. And even just one more day of pain because they refuse to answer is unbelievable. read more

Making appointments here or reschedule is impossible at Eureka location. They put you on hold like forever. Doesn't anyone pick up phones there just for appointments or questions? Sometimes they have a callback msg, but today there's none. So you have to wait and wait for someone you can talk to. I do remember a year ago, that the Staff in Mammogram department are nice and professional. But making appointments there is hard and impossible. It's frustrating. read more

The technician, Rachel greeted me with a cute smile & was the most pleasant & upbeat individual. She truly was a breathe of fresh air & the privilege was all mine!! After my test she took the time to answer & explain my questions. Which no one has ever done & I have had this test routinely done for years. Rachel is a gem & RDC is fortunate to have her. The 2 stars are for only the friendly woman with glasses at the front desk. The other one not so much. I came in for a simple sinus xray and was told they take walk ins. This is suspect. They do take walk ins but you'll be waiting till the last person before you is seen and left. I got the paperwork all filled out and they had me take a seat. There was one other person in there. After I've been sitting there for around 10 min the not so nice front desk woman says oh our 1 technician is leaving for lunch now so itll be 30-45 min for your xray. This would be helpful information maybe right when I walked in??? How about maybe take the one person waiting already THEN go to lunch? The tech comes back 40 min later and finally does the xray. I have cancer and needed an MRI as soon as possible. I called, waited on hold for quite a while. Finally spoke to someone who gave me the earliest appointment, a month away! Unacceptable! They stated that because they are not affiliated with a hospital, they do not schedule urgent MRI's. So my doctors office contacted Renown, who called me to schedule the appointment! I will be using Renown from now on. They care about the urgency of their patients care. Very disappointed in RDC. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would, I scheduled a simple body fat analysis with this location at 7:25am. I got there 15 min early, paid my fee and they were still 15 min late for taking me in for my appointment, didn't even get called from the waiting room until 7:40am. Then I waited 10 min for the technician to restart her computer only to find out that she couldn't fix her computer and then she yelled at me saying I had to come back at another day and time and at a different location. They didn't even offer me a refund or a fake apology. THEN when I called to reschedule the person over the phone was very rude and snotty to me. Do these people/women just enjoy abusing their customers and wasting their time? I know it doesn't matter to them but wasting my time actually costs me money and gas to get over there, not to mention a crappy way to start one's day off. Try to avoid Reno Diagnostics on Sierra Rose. I had an MRI there two days ago. They said to arrive at 2:55. I got there along with 8 other people who had appointments. The aid in the lobby checked our temperatures and then told us to stand on a blue circle to wait to be checked in. But there was no one working the check in desk in the waiting room and only a couple of circles. Chairs were also grouped close together in the waiting room. So we all waited in the crowded waiting room closely together. The actual X-ray technicians were great and the MRI went smoothly. When I came out after my MRI there was a family in the waiting room. Kid between 8-10, no mask. Dad figure wearing mask over mouth but not nose, mom figure had mask off so she could yak on her phone. The check in person looked right at them but said nothing (although I don't blame her, she was probably about 18, and you never know how these red-neck trailer trash people will react if someone calls them on not wearing a mask). Best to try to avoid this place until they get better office procedures in place during COVID. read more

I went in for an MRI arthrogram. Everyone was so nice & professional from the front office through the whole procedure. It required an injection of dye into my shoulder. The whole procedure was explained very well & any ?'s were answered. I felt very comfortable. They were backed up a bit, so they put me in a private room with a recliner, a warm blanket & water to wait.
