Try to avoid Reno Diagnostics on Sierra Rose. I had an MRI there two days ago. They said to arrive at 2:55. I got there along with 8 other people who had appointments. The aid in the lobby checked our temperatures and then told us to stand on a blue circle to wait to be checked in. But there was no one working the check in desk in the waiting room and only a couple of circles. Chairs were also grouped close together in the waiting room. So we all waited in the crowded waiting room closely together. The actual X-ray technicians were great and the MRI went smoothly. When I came out after my MRI there was a family in the waiting room. Kid between 8-10, no mask. Dad figure wearing mask over mouth but not nose, mom figure had mask off so she could yak on her phone. The check in person looked right at them but said nothing (although I don't blame her, she was probably about 18, and you never know how these red-neck trailer trash people will react if someone calls them on not wearing a mask). Best to try to avoid this place until they get better office procedures in place during COVID. read more

I went in for an MRI arthrogram. Everyone was so nice & professional from the front office through the whole procedure. It required an injection of dye into my shoulder. The whole procedure was explained very well & any ?'s were answered. I felt very comfortable. They were backed up a bit, so they put me in a private room with a recliner, a warm blanket & water to wait. My husband was referred to RDC for imaging after a knee injury, and was eager to get the MRI done so a plan for treatment could be established. After setting the initial appointment, RDC called us back the next day with an unexpected cancellation and was able to get him in 2 days sooner! Checking him in was easy and pleasant, and the technicians offered him assistance throughout the procedure, as he was unable to stand or walk alone. They explained the phases of imaging along the way, and the whole thing went quickly and without incident. No hassles, no delays. Overall, better and faster than we expected, no complaints here! read more

Once you can get an operator to schedule your appointment, and all the paperwork has been sent by your doctor, it will take you approx. 30-35 min. on hold to MAYBE get an appointment. Once at the Sierra Rose location, it's OK, but the extensive wait times to get an appointment is hardly worth it. Too much trouble or too much money to have enough employees to schedule patients? I had been going there for years. Not anymore! Much too hard to get someone to pickup a phone in scheduling! In the past, I have taken the time to DRIVE TO THEIR LOCATION, stand there to schedule an appointment. That is a waste of my resources on so many levels! As a patient, we can wait on the phone forever. OUR time is of no value to them. Only thing that counts is their bottom line. So, If you have nothing else to do but wait for them to answer their phone, I guess they could be worse. read more

Main choice for X-ray and other diagnostics because they are contracted with my insurance. That's ok, they have always been easy to make an appointment with. Checking in is smooth and easy too. They never seem to run behind and I really appreciate that- they know how to schedule. They are always a clean facilities. The staff always nice, considering sometimes your in there for a not so nice appointment. I'm a little claustrophobic in an MRI and there's nothing more fun that cold hands and machine squishing your boobs for a mammogram. But they get you through the situations with dignity. read more

I had an MRI for the first time here, and it was a great experience. I was afraid the scheduling would be way out, but they got me in within a week, which is great because I'm in quite a bit of pain and trying to figure out what is wrong ASAP. The front office staff was very friendly, and Mindy and Sean took care of me for my exam. It was a bit daunting going in the big tunnel, but the best part was that they were able to let me listen to music of my choice using their headphones while in there needing to be still. It was nice to have something to concentrate on while the time passed, it really made it a lot less stressful than I expected it to be. read more

The technicians and doctors are competent, for the most part. The billing department is another story. We happily pay our bills regularly, and prefer to pay at the time of service. However, they did not charge us at the time of service in November and supposedly sent a bill to us in December. This was either lost in the mail or misdelivered. They immediately began to take us to collections over a $31 bill we never even knew about 6 days after the due date. Why could they not call us? Why assume the mail was received and that we are PURPOSELY reneging on the bill? Absurd. This is not a company we wish to do business with. There are other places in town we can utilize for our medical radiology needs. read more

I was very pleased with their professionalism and super attitude. The entire staff from phone manners to office presence is absolutely awesome. Last place I wanted to be due to my medical issues. They made it an awesome experience. Mindy and Lauren were a fantastic team. Sofia up front was very welcoming and cheerful. I would stop for coffee if they sold any. Update on this review from yesterday. First the coffee thing was a joke meaning I would come by and hang out because the experience was so good. Second pretty darn amazing to go home after work and my wife jumps on the link to my results and they are already there. I am sorry I dont remember the radiologist name doesn't really matter because this completes the whole exprience. From beginning to end absolutely awesome people. Reno Diagnostic centers are just fine once you can get someone to answer the phones to make an appointment! This is a very important medical diagnostic facility and sick people waiting to schedule should be treated so much better. Absolutely unacceptable not to hire more people or get a better phone system. The phone rings and rings, then answered, and asked how can I help you, and I say scheduling for X-ray, transferred, and it rings, then put on hold for 10 minutes then I give up! You do have the option to have them call you back however if you don't answer the phone when they call, they say call again, and it all starts over again Ugh Whoever owns these centers should try themselves to get an appointment and maybe when they encounter the same problems will move them to do something, hire more people and upgrade your antique present phone system. Currently, this is a totally unacceptable appointment scheduling situation. Simple, so FIX it now. I have been reading A LOT of the reviews & the responses. On every positive review, you responded with a "personal touch" thank you, even mentioning their name. On every negative review, your response was identical, word for word (a "copy & paste" no doubt) along with a phone number to call. Probably to leave a message that won't be answered. The obvious lack of interest this proves is very disappointing. I will be going somewhere else from here on out, and YES, your front desk help are very cold & unprofessional. Patients don't expect to be coddled, but some warmth & kindness with a smile goes a long way when people are scared. Stop shopping at the "fish market" for employees. We deserve better!! read more

I've had nothing but positive experiences. I came here for twice for services - one was for screening purposes and the other for diagnostic. Your appointment time is typically 20 minutes or so before you're actually seen because you have paperwork to complete. Both times, they started my paperwork so I didn't have too much to fill out. They also give you a pager so you know when it's your time to take your test so you feel like you're at a restaurant. The technicians who took my imaging were very friendly and it was obvious that they cared I had a good experience because they'd ask me several times during my visits if I was ok. I really appreciate the excellent customer service. Also, I received my results in 24 hours by email and my doctor's office received it just as quickly. Overall, I highly recommend Reno Diagnostic Centers. I'd definitely come back but hopefully will never have the need to do so. read more

I visited about a year and a half ago. I meant to write a review but said forget it. I was thinking back on my experience and felt the need to as I've shared this with many already. Long story short, I found a large lump in my breast. I went to urgent care and was given a breast exam. The doctor felt it immediately and called it "angry." He seemed very concerned and called the diagnostic center right away. He was shocked that they had a same day appointment. He said it usually takes about a month to get in and I really lucked out. So for that, I was grateful. Check in was easy and staff seemed nice. Then I got back and they did a breast ultrasound. I mentioned that I had stopped breastfeeding my daughter about six months ago but still leaked breast milk occasionally. Concerned that maybe there was an issue with a clogged duct. (By the urgent care docs reaction, I was beyond scared). The technician literally laughed at me. I was only 22 at the time and felt because I was young they were not taking me seriously. The doc came in with the results. And said they could not find a lump AT ALL. When I started to question it, the explanation he gave me was "sometimes breasts just hurt." Thanks sir. I then went to check out and was told "well, Miss (my name) in a VERY degrading tone, "looks like you owe $700 today. Would you just like me to bill you?" As if I couldn't afford it. I was livid at this point and said, yeah just bill me. I got out to my car, and called my now husband in tears for obvious reasons. Later that day, the urgent care doc called me back to follow up. He said he definitely felt a lump and was very confused as to how they didn't. He prescribed me antibiotics for inflammation and said to call him if they didn't help. He was much more helpful than them. I received my bill about a month later and it was only $80. NOT $700. So they clearly attempted to charge me without running my insurance the first time. The experience was terrible. Now I have severe white coat syndrome because of visits like this and nearly pass out when I walk into a doctor's office. I'm not saying don't recieve care because there are some good reviews but PLEASE be your own advocate. Don't let them laugh at you, make sure they take you seriously and please request they send a bill so you don't lose money! read more

Do not give them your money up front they will not reimburse you. They said my wife had a deductible which I paid 443.10 on my credit card. When they submitted the claim to United Health Care they paid Reno Diagnostic Center for the claim back on July 5. Spoke to Billing and they said nothing they can do right now and then spoke to Director of Finance and still don't have my reimbursement. I was told that the they should have billed insurance first than bill me for any difference that my insurance did not pay . Seems like they are double dipping and maybe doing this to other clients. Still as of 8/24/21 I have not been paid my reimbursement. Their organization is shady and they should do an audit on this company. read more

Im going to give this 3 stars bc the workers are sweet. I like the front office and the techs. I was scheduled for an ultrasound for a 4 cm mass on my right breast. First off they offer no payment plans and i had to pay 200 that day. Keep in mind this is 20% of the full charge as I have good insurance. I get the ultrasound and the actual radiologist wouldnt even come in and go over it. A 1000 dollar test and the radiologist doesnt really have the time to explain the ultrasound? Now ive been referred to an actual specialist to review the images. read more

Before my appointment for a petscan at Reno Diagnostic Center I complied with their mailed pre-test instructions which said to drink 32 oz of water the morning before the petscan. This created a frequent urination condition while left alone on an IV and while in the scanning machine. Their technician Ben said you shouldn't drink water before coming in. I guess someone else wrote the erroneous instructions. Ben was also hurried and impatient and didn't have much time for me. The petscan machine was located in a trailer outside in the parking lot and involved wheel chairing out in the weather in order to do the scan. All-in-all I thought it a non professional operation considering the $6,500 fee that gets billed. RDC's report from this imaging stated that "The lungs are clear without evidence of tumors" But a Stanford Health Care CT scan report of 7/30/2019 identified a 1.5 cm cyst in the lung unchanged since the Reno Diagnostic PETscan of 4/23/2019 which they also reviewed. And a Stanford biopsy report of 8/21/2019 diagnosed the cyst as cancerous. I discussed the matter in my 8/24/19 fax and by phone with Dr. Sekhon concerning the RDC petscan report clearing the lungs which were diagnosed later with a carcinoma. He bucked it to Amy Redding the Ops manager. I discussed these issues with the Ops Manager, Amy Redding, on Aug 27th, who promised to get back to me but never did. I exchanged fax and email with the CEO Kevin Cogan on Sep 9 and Sep 17. He promised to get back to me but never did. Given the foregoing I would judge Reno Diagnostics as not ready for prime time. read more

This was kind of disappointing. I went just to check things out, but that could be a scary time. The employees here don't seem to care about that. Their manner is that of someone who is just there to work, and it definitely shows. Once you are taken back, the techs are a little nicer, but again, you feel alone. When it was time to leave, no one told me how to get out or what to do. It would have been nicer to have that support. This place has a good reputation, or at least the name does. Scheduled appointment for 1pm. Arrived 1250 to fill out tons of duplicate paperwork. Was told that because I arrived "late" that they would take the person behind me. I verified with them that my appointment was 1pm. Girl at front was really rude and said I should have been here at 1240 to check in for the 1pm. Me back: We'll is my paperwork done prior to 1pm? Her: yes, but you were late. Me: how is that possible you have all paperwork and I am ready for the 1pm. Her: you were late. Me: unreal. So this is a classic office where the staff doesn't really care about your time. Most folks are walk ins and they simply cater to that. Do yourself. Favor and find an imaging location that doesn't have monotone millennial drones working the front desk and respect appointment times and not process for process' sake. read more

Since I have a high deductible health plan, I need to shop for my health care. After researching local offices, I decided to give RDC a try. This was my first test at this location and I prefer never to return again. I've NEVER had any problems at the downtown location. I have been to both Reno diagnostic centers, the Sierra Rose location and Eureka. I have made my appointments ahead of time and have always been put through to the appropriate person. Sometimes they have to call me back but that is expected for the more specialized services. I've had mammograms, 3-D mammograms, a bone density test, dense breast specialized exam, ultrasounds as well as a fine needle biopsy. All went well without any complications, prompt results and on my more complicated biopsy I had two doctors in the room with me at once! The facility is always clean and most recently when I was in they had all their Covid procedures in place to make me feel safe going in. They took my temperature did the screening questions and they had special pens and cleaning procedures for the check-in area. I always feel well taken care of here. And The exam I had to have during Covid was no exception. Keep up the good work RDC. read more

The appointment was made for 6/19/18 only two days in advance for a time that was best for me. After checking in five minutes ahead of time my wait time was no more than two minutes after turning in my paperwork. "Miranda" checked me in. She was very friendly, efficient and professional. She answered my questions and guided me to make sure the privacy I wanted was correct. "Susan" was the Technician. Susan was very nice and professional. She checked and double checked my posture/position before each x-ray, and then verified the shot was perfect before moving to the next. This may sound like it took some time however for five x-rays the time was very short and fast. Susan was very helpful in guiding me to the correct position for each shot and coached me on when to exhale, inhale and hold my breath for optimum picture quality. Susan really made the process quick and effortless. She really is great at what she does. 5 Stars for Reno Diagnostics Center because of their outstanding staff. read more

Have been getting Mammograms for over 20 years. ( lost a twin to breast cancer ) I recently moved to the area and unfortunately chose Reno Diagnostic for my Mammogram . I was told when I made the appointment that they would get my old records or call me if there was an issue. Nope, no records on the day of my appointment and no phone call. The mammogram was so rushed I can't imagine they got good images. The waiting room was full and it was like watching a revolving door. They need to rename it In-N - Out imaging services. I called the imaging department where I have had my mammograms - no one ever contacted them for my records . In addition they said that I had to sign a release ( of course !) and as soon as they received that they would fax the records over. I went back in, filled out a release ( which only allowed for them to release my records from Reno! - so I had to edit it. ) The staff had no idea how to handle this . Then said they would send it to "the office" to handle. In all my years as a health care professional and getting Mammograms I have never felt so invalidated as a patient or so unsure of getting a good exam . read more

Front desk staff and billing are bloated bags of buffoons. Arrived early for two MRI views and filled out the appropriate paperwork. I had done my research w/ my insurance company and knew that I would be required to make dual co-pays at the time of service. Desk staff dummy requested only one co-pay in the amount of 500 bucks. I politely informed her that was the incorrect amount and to please accept payment for the dual procedure. Well that wasn't going to happen because the online medical school billing professional graduate disagreed and informed me "I've been doing this an awful long time" and "don't worry about it". Turns out the dummy was wrong. I received the bill for the balance almost immediately in the post. I elected to make payments over the next year just to make them suffer, if only in the most insignificant amount. Later I would receive an invoice with a nice handwritten note to indicate "we will no longer be sending you invoices, call us for updates on your balance. Well fuck me, if we can't be bothered to provide receipts and invoices to our client base then what differentiates us from the apes? Evidently not much at RDC. In closing I want to provide the written equivalent of two extended middle fingers to RDC. I wish the staff involved in the general incompetent proceeding a lifetime of bureaucratic hell, spent under florescent lamps, in dank offices, filled with miserable people. read more

Barely 1 star. Impersonal assistants at front desk, a lot of personal conversations. I had an appointment, was 15 minutes early, then 20 Minutes after my appointment I inquired at the desk and was given false assurances. While waiting for my appointment, they took a walk-in, a person who was an hour early doe his appointment, and everyone who had arrived after I did before I was seen. Highly recommend the center for MRI. They take you through the process step-by-step, which is important for a first time patient. The facility is clean. The staff is efficient. They seem to have the latest technology as the MRI they were using was new. Insurance only covers a portion of the diagnostic leaving the patient with the remainder of the bill. They only send a few statements then you're off the mailing list - even if you still owe on account. Pay attention or off to collections with you. They said the cost of mailing a statement every month is too high. How about automated billing by e-mail? Have patients sign up for paperless billing i.e., the cable company, Nevada Energy, everyone's cell phone company. Join the party kids. Don't just drop your patients after a few statements and send them to collections - e-statement!! read more

My mammogram was done by Marlena (sp?) who was very competent and concerned about any discomfort I might experience. No cranking it down without warning! Can you believe that the Medical Director Dr. Golding, called me within 24 hours of having left a message? And he gave me his opinion, suggestions and even his personal trainors name. Front staff was fine. The problem we ran in to was being told that "it is policy that the patient couldn't have their spouse with them in the room during the procedure" (ultrasound). We were completely dumb founded when told this and didn't think at the time to ask for a manager and question this. We were left feeling very uncomfortable, as the ultrasound was for a very sensitive area. Never have we been told that someone could not be in the room with the patient. I called the office and it was confirmed that this is NOT policy and that the tech would be spoken to. Definitely left feeling practically violated by this tech and "talking to this tech" is not enough, in my opinion. Just an awful experience that makes us angrier any time we think about it. read more

Check in at 7:40am. Spent 25 minutes filling out forms. Way too many forms!!!! Tons of people in line and it seemed like there was a cluster and some disorganization. Once in, the technician didn't give me any instructions on what to do with my stuff. Just put on cape see you in a minute. She barely spoke to me. I felt rushed and exposed. Again confirmed date time location and wide bore MRI 1/6/17 received call stating need 376.00 co pay asked why as was not told this prior, asked about actual cost got song and dance about different contract rates 1/6/17 5:45 pm arrived at 6th wells only to be told that my appointment was now at Sierra rose location Sierra rose The Medical park layout was designed by an evil twisted sick jackass. hard to find (which was why i set 6th and wells) Staff at Sierra rose were good and no issues . I checked in for a mammeogram, Bone Denisty and MRI on my lower spine and was told my bill would be $545.00. They could NOT tell me what was not covered by my insurance which happens to be very good. I had no prior knowledge that i would have to pay anything. they told me to call my insurance company and then call the business office. What a mess. I am so sorry I went to this place. When I questioned the staff about the charges they told me it was a good thing i was going to them because it would cost me more to go some place else. I think not. read more

The front desk girl "Morgan" is very rude. She's short with you, makes faces like you're stupid and must not know how to smile because I have not seen her smile once. I went in for x-rays today and was appalled by the way in which the x-ray technician, Nicole, conducted herself. I was informed there would be a 40 minute wait, which I was prepared for; however, the wait was an hour, and I was only taken back after inquiring with the front desk staff. Nicole did not apologize but began with "didn't they tell you it would be an hour. I am the only x-ray tech here today. There is nothing I can do about that." The experience pretty much went downhill from here. Needless to say, the x-rays are done, but I will take my business elsewhere and advise everyone I know to do the same. read more
