The circular elevator walls were wrapped in blue protective tape which, upon removal, created static electricity that caused dust to stick to the panels between the elevator car and the exterior walls. Some areas were very high or had very narrow gaps between the elevator walls and the house walls. The job also required the elevator installer to be onsite to help move the elevator car for access. Because we were preparing to put the house on the market, we had the home cleaned and staged, and photos/videos were scheduled for specific dates, which we clearly communicated to the cleaning company. The service provider arrived, cleaned the majority of the shaft, and told us he would return and contact us after they figured out the best way to complete the remaining cleaning. A few days after the photos and videos were taken, we received a $270 charge for 3 hours of work. No one contacted us, there was no follow-up, and the job was never completed -- just a bill. Extremely disappointed. we had to hire someone else. If a job is outside your capabilities, it's better to be upfront about it rather than take on work you cannot complete. He actually missed a door full of windows and a side window. The second day I was looking out my dining room window and it definitely did not look clean.. In the past, they've always wiped the tracks and the screens, but not this time. Then when he wrote up the invoice, it was higher than the previous visits. I was not told of any increase prior. This review is based on my experience scheduling a service and the terrible customer service I experienced with Reno Tahoe Window Cleaning. I scheduled an exterior house pressure washing service and exterior window cleaning for 8 am. They sent me two emails confirming, and the emails were clear that services would begin at 8:00 am and would not have the two hour window in which the technician actually showed up. I don't live at the house that I had scheduled service for so was grateful I had a specific time they would arrive. By 8:20 nobody had arrived or called to update me on any delays. I called their office and the woman who answered said she would reach out to the technician and get back to me right away with an update. By 8:45 I still hadn't heard back from anyone. I called again but nobody answered the phone and the voice message provided a number to text "Chris" and promised an immediate response. I texted the number with the details of what was going on (scheduled service, nobody was here, it's 45 min after scheduled time, etc). The message showed a read confirmation, but I never received a response... not within the hour or even later in the day. Photo attached. I waited a few minutes and then called back. At this point it was 9:00 am and an hour past my scheduled appt time. Someone finally answered their phone after multiple calls. I re-explained the situation and the woman responds with "The technician was supposed to call you." Well, they never called me, or responded to my text. She offers to call the technician while I stay on the line. She then tells me that their pressure washer isn't working. WHAT?! Nobody thought to update me on that an hour ago? Wonderful. So I wasted an hour sitting at the vacant house waiting on a service that couldn't even be conducted because of a broken machine, and received no updates from the company on the status of what was going on. Was I expected to just sit there all day and wait for somebody to update me or for someone to never show up? This wouldn't have been so annoying if I lived at the house, but I literally sat around in my car for over an hour and then I was the one that had to hunt down the updates. Overall I'm really let down by this experience with Reno Tahoe Window Cleaning. We needed someone to pressure wash the house before the house got sprayed for spiders and bugs, and it was something I wanted to pay to have done so it would free my husband up to work on other projects we can't afford to source out. I purchased a YELP deal (I think $100 for $125 in services) and was really bummed that I wasn't going to be able to use it. Luckily yelp refunded me for the deal. I have used this Company for years and really Liked the jobs they had done. BUT that being said, something must have changed. First they left spots on our kitchen window, didn't clean a window, charged for more windows than what we have, did NOT wear masks inside our house (I did not let them in and had I known that I would not have let them in) and when I immediately called them on the number they used to let me know they would be late, they did not answer, I have 3 calls into the owner and several text messages and I received a phone message that I returned the call with no return calls or texts. NOT the way to do business in my opinion. Unfortunately I tipped Ryan & JJ before I noticed the spotted and dirty windows. I'm Editing my review. This is our second time using this company. We had an issue the first time but they rectified it so we thought, "Hey we should absolutely give them another chance and let them come out to clean our gutters!" Wow, we were WRONG! To start, we scheduled our service for Friday, January 27 between 11:00-1:00. We strategically scheduled this day because we had a roofing company scheduled to come the following day. No one showed up and we had no call to say otherwise. Both my husband and I called the company, left messages, and received nothing in return. We figured they abandoned the job. On Saturday, we had the emergency roofing company come out and because the gutters were clogged still they had to clean them in order to completely fix our problem with the roof leak. Come Tuesday February 8th at 1:38 pm Reno Tahoe Window Company decides to show up and do the job. We have a Ring recorder that was able to record the whole thing. The man was at our house from 1:38 pm until 1:51pm (13 minutes). This includes time for him to write us an invoice!! He left all of the gunk, leaves, and water from the gutters on our pavement around our house. I just can not justify $150 for this less than 10 minute service, not cleaned up properly, or done on the scheduled day. We called the company to discuss our concerns and was told "Maria" would call us back. We are still yet to hear from anyone (5 days later) but have since received another invoice via email. We have even gone as far as answering calls that are labeled "spam" thinking it may be Maria calling us back. POOR BUSINESS from start to finish. I blame myself for giving them a second chance. Please do not put yourself through the headache that we did. Use a different company. read more
