Supported the following business while we were here - Proper Fit Footwear, Nevada Marketplace, and the library. 14 businesses; I guess the restaurants/businesses on the other side of the shopping center are not part of this mall...? Ambiance - Huge mall, but NOT busy at all. Good restaurants that we frequent on the other side of the shopping center. We rarely come this way. Plenty of mall parking, huge parking lots. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 6pm or 7 pm, see picture. Events - See their website. Service - Good. Price - Proper Fit Footwear, got a pair of shoes for an amazing low price. Will be back in January to see the next set of shoes on sale. Nevada Marketplace - Slightly expensive, but is that (should that) be the cost to support local...? Library = Free, thank you. Reno Town Mall is one of those places that feels quietly underrated. The architecture is a solid throwback, very much old-school Reno, with wide open interior spaces that give it a nostalgic charm you don't see much anymore. It doesn't try to be flashy, and that's part of what makes it cool. One of the best surprises is having the Reno library right inside the mall. It adds a strong community feel and gives the space more purpose than a typical shopping center. You'll see people studying, families stopping in, and locals just passing through, which adds to the character. That said, it really feels like there's an opportunity here. I wish there were more stores and restaurants inside to help bring in more foot traffic and energy. With the architecture and built-in library already in place, a stronger mix of shops and food spots could easily turn this into a much more vibrant destination. It's not about high-end shopping or crowds. It's about atmosphere, history, and potential. If you appreciate classic architecture and unique local spaces, Reno Town Mall is still worth checking out. read more

I have a soft spot for Reno Town Mall; I use to attend some TMCC classes there when it was still "Old Town Mall". It's sad how this mall is slowly dying when it has so much potential. It should get a second wind just like the strip mall next to it which now boasts Prost, Hong Kong Diner and a Latin joint. read more

Everything is great there wonderful mall it's always been the best cleanest mall but unfortunately, now the apartments behind you are loaded down with drug dealers and drugs. It's unfortunate that we are placed in an environment like this with them. I had this guy asked me the other day if I wanted to buy any drugs from him, are you kidding me so please people be aware that's not these people back to where they belongthey don't belong here. I've been around long enough that in my mind this is still "Old Town Mall". I love indoor malls! This one is really nice, and I wish more stores were inside it. I usually like to go for the marketplace inside to see all the local vendor booths. It's a fun place to just wander around for hours. The people are super friendly in all the shops. I buy my bamboo plants from the store inside. It's just casual and chill and a nice place to hang out. They also put on indoor events. They had a senior event, and then a craft event, I think the psychic event was there too. Parking is abundant, there is a grocery store, and restaurants, and bars to enjoy. Let's keep this little treasure in business! Too many of the old Reno places are being pushed out by greed - please visit and support our local businesses! read more

It's probably the first real mall Reno had 50 years ago. The only two major stores here are a Burlington and Food Source. There's a handful of small local shops and a coffee shop and Round Table pizza. The back side of the mall houses the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority. Plenty of easy parking is always available. The exterior is currently undergoing a much needed facelift and updating. It's looking very nice so far. Hopefully next year they will start to update the interior as it is still old terra cotta colored tiles and open wood. read more

I went here today, Friday, May 24, 2019. I did not realize Reno had an additional mall, besides the well-know Meadowood Mall, which is more the traditional mall that people think of, with national stores and anchor stores like Macy's and Foot Locker and Cinnabon. This mall is not like traditional malls. It is unique in that it is a strip mall, with additional enclosed mall stores in the end part. The biggest outside store is a Food Source a grocery store. The enclosed mall is older, like a throwback to the 70's or 80's. It was dark, with little natural lighting. There are a few "boutiquey" type stores, and some functional type business, like the Sierra View Library, the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority (entrance in the back of the mall), Reno JobConnect, and Access to Healthcare Network. There are also a number of empty spaces. It felt like I was in a time warp. It reminded me of the Carson Mall Shopping Center in Carson City. There were not a lot of people here for a Friday afternoon. The upstairs is almost empty of people. There are the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority offices, but the doors are for employees only. The public entrance is in the back of the mall, on the outside, which sucks if you have to get there from inside. There is also no food court and few restaurants. There are not a lot of amenities either like most malls have, like a children's play area, or rides or displays, or plush chairs, or a video arcade. There are a few hard benches, but that is it. It also felt kind of warm inside. Even the parking lot is old and in need of repair, though parking is pretty easy. The thing that irritated me was there was no mall wifi. There was wifi near the library end, but that is the library's, and I have read here that is even not reliable or strong. Elsewhere in the mall, you are out of luck. And it is hard to get a cell phone 4G/4G LTE signal here. I have an iPhone and use Verizon, but still had difficulty, even by the doors, I had to go outside to do a Yelp check in at a business here, lol! By the way, when I went around the back to the Reno-Sparks Convention & Visitors Authority at 4:05 PM on a Friday, it was closed, even though the doors said they were open from 8 Am to 5 PM weekdays. There was no sign either telling visitors they were closed early today. They apparently closed early due to the Memorial Day weekend. Still, this is not a good look for the mall. The website for the mall is Spartan too. There was an event today, with the Mammovan visiting outside in the parking lot, but on the mall events page, that was all that was listed. No times, no info, no link, no nothing. It is like no one cares here to bother to maintain it. I will give this mall three stars, due to the fact there are some eclectic stores (But Nevada First Gift Shop & Visitors Center), as well as some functional ones, but this mall just made me feel strange. Kind of like a low-end strip mall plus a throwback enclosed local mall from the 70's. Although I have no problem with this, having the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services office right behind the mall is probably not a good look if this mall wants to attract more upscale clientele. It is nice though that it is right across from Atlantis Casino Resort Spa and the Convention Center. They have to close the parking lots when Atlantis has their annual Hot August Nights celebration. I will visit here again and see if I can give them a better rating. read more

This mall is definitely funky and a throwback to shopping malls of the early 70's. It has plants and brick and stairs and waterfalls. It also does not have the generic "this could be anywhere" array of stores that populate most malls. The draw for me is the unique shopping available here. Two of my favorite stores are here - A Proper Fit Footwear and Buy Nevada First. The two "anchor" stores are Burlington Coat Factory & Baby Depot and Food Source ( a discount Raley's) There is also a public library as well as Job Connect, Access to Healthcare Network, and New Horizons Learning Center. There is ample parking and is easy to access from Peckham. There are regular events here such as monthly arts and crafts fair, job fairs, and holiday themed activities. read more

What a disappointment. Most of the shops are great, but the interaction I had with one of the booth owners left me truly reeling. The owner of the Harris House Booth started yelling at my 5 year old. He was at my side, not touching anything and talking to me about something he liked. When I stepped in she loudly told me "I hate you poor people that came here. Get a better job and stop popping out kids if you can't afford $75" I don't know if she thought I was someone else but I have never been talked to like this. I will NEVER be back. read more

It's the little things that make community's great. FREE PICTURES WITH SANTA on weekends. The fact that you guys had Santa a nice slay and tree is beyond awesome. My kids loved it. And local market that sales local art and crafts. This mall also has silver store and job connect which help me when I really needed that assistants in finding and better suiting my job apps. The library is also one many reason why I visit here. My recent visit was due to flyer. That made me really happy with little things that make my output for the mall great. read more

It's straight out of the 70s. There are spaces in the mall that feel ghostly. But there are still also a few draws to the mall, so my feeling is that if weren't for the library and the anchor stores here, Burlington Coat Factory and the grocery store, you would be hard pressed to spend much time here. The parking lot is a hot mess, not well paved and some broken pavement that I saw a poor older lady nearly brake an ankle on when she tripped. Easy access to and from Virginia Street, otherwise referred to by hapless tourists as THE STRIP. Keeping hope that the owners might do some sprucing up to make it look more inviting, perhaps have some events to lure folks in. read more

I was shopping at the Emporium. An older gentleman was at my elbow watching me. I had the impression he worked there. I had some heavy books and the like so took them to the checkout. He offered to help me carry my purchases to my car. I was grateful because I injured my shoulder in a car accident. As I was paying for my purchases I mentioned one of the books was for my husband. The man took a noticeable step back, pointed at my bags and said "you'll be fine". He no longer was going to help me with my heavy bags. I was disappointed for sure. read more

This mall is ok. There isn't much at all to tell you the truth... there was a library in it too. Thought that was random, since the malls in California we don't have libraries in them.. went to a thrift short, got a couple things for my son that he might like. Well I'm hoping he'll like haha! Stopped by the Mall after a visit to Burlington the other day and was pleasantly surprised. It is nice and clean with a small, but good variety of businesses. I only had a little time so I didn't stop in at A Proper Fit Footwear, but it looked promising for a future visit. I really liked Buy Nevada First. I popped in to Food Source and picked up a couple of things I needed. It was clean and the employees were friendly. Parking was easy. I will be back when I have more time to shop! read more

I gotta give this place tons of love because they let the Great Basin Geeks come in and host a convention in early October! What kind of mall does that in this day and age? Too frikkin' cool! It's a miracle to see this mall still kickin' in this day and age and it just warms my lil' heart! This place just reeks of the 70's and I love all the brickwork, plants and water fountains as they take me back to that bygone era. The Burlington Coat Factory and library seem to be doing most of the heavy lifting but don't forget the nearby market, Buy Nevada First and Round Table Pizza as well. There are some fun little unique shops in the mall and the vendors are pretty cool albeit a bit quirky. This mall is actually kind of a good place to go to sometimes to get away from the hustle and bustle yet still do some people watching too! read more

This place has the worst security. Me and another security guard went into this place yesterday to the library was going to make copies real quick. We were stopped by their security and told we couldnt wear our jackets inside the building or anywhere else in the reno sparks area because we were impersonating security guards. They lady didnt ask to see our pilb security license or anything she just falsely acccused us. Then after a vendor came up and talked t she told him that it was a common courtsey for us to take our jackets off because we were impersonating security guards. Really who wants to impersonating a security guard people have bad reviews about security guards people really dont like us anyways. Then after that shakes our hands im like really lady you just falsely accused us of falsely impersonating a security guard no apology or nothing. Their was people who overheard her because she was talking loud. After all of that drama vendor comes up and talks to us and he says that she told him that it was a common courtesy a whole different story then what she told us. This is why esi has a bad rep in reno due to bad guards like this lady. I will not go back to this place it seems though the security cant get the laws right and again no one i repeat no one wants to impersonate a security guard lol. read more
