The store is easy to walk around, the displays are well considered, and although the clerks are watching, the merchandise is all yours to view and consider. I love patronizing Antique stores, as they sometimes offer a local perspective that no local "tourist" shop can offer. Places like this also require a couple visits to peal the onion. These stores also run hot and cold regarding what I look for and like. In my case, that's usually pens, knives, old office supplies, and interesting metal pieces. We visited a few times and the kids always find something that they like. It is a little pricey here, but I get that some of the stuff is imported and some of the stuff is licensing that you're paying for. The unfortunate constant here is the lack of customer service. Rarely are you greeted and if you have any issue with the purchase at the end, you're made to feel like it's an inconvenience to them to fix the transaction. We've unfortunately had this happen a few times. Will continue to shop because our kids like it, but this place definitely needs training. It seems like customer service has been lost in many places nowadays.

Yeah, the prices are a bit inflated, but you'll get that at just about any store of this type downtown. It's run by a very nice family, and I've never seen it closed for more than an hour (usually during pre-daybreak hours.) All types of beverages, including beer and liquor, in addition to many snacks and touristy items. This is definitely the place you wanna stop at to get a Reno shot glass, t-shirt, or a set of personalized dice, without breaking the bank. Definitely recommend. NOTE: No credit cards accepted whatsoever, only debit cards, and there's a $5 minimum for card purchases.

Reno Town Mall is one of those places that feels quietly underrated. The architecture is a solid…read morethrowback, very much old-school Reno, with wide open interior spaces that give it a nostalgic charm you don't see much anymore. It doesn't try to be flashy, and that's part of what makes it cool. One of the best surprises is having the Reno library right inside the mall. It adds a strong community feel and gives the space more purpose than a typical shopping center. You'll see people studying, families stopping in, and locals just passing through, which adds to the character. That said, it really feels like there's an opportunity here. I wish there were more stores and restaurants inside to help bring in more foot traffic and energy. With the architecture and built-in library already in place, a stronger mix of shops and food spots could easily turn this into a much more vibrant destination. It's not about high-end shopping or crowds. It's about atmosphere, history, and potential. If you appreciate classic architecture and unique local spaces, Reno Town Mall is still worth checking out.
