I don't usually write an update so soon, but after today's (3/12/26) amazing event, I just had to!! I am sure you can tell from my excess photos, we shop here too often... We are very loyal customers. Quality/Quantity - Here for the Wax and Watch event DIG. My first time and what an amazing event. Fundraising for so many nonprofits, see pictures. Also sponsored by Fifty Fifty Brewing Co; I had a few too many beers, too good of a time. I also found out about Fifty's Grand opening at RPM, which we also supported and attended the next day, see other Yelp Review. Non alcoholic drinks were also available. Too lazy to have brought our equipment for the wax. Plus Mt Rose gives us each 4 free waxes that I rarely use up. Raffle - We did NOT win. Atmosphere - Clean and organized location. Love the NV art on the side of the building/in the parking lot. Cool! See pictures. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm and on Sundays from 10am to 6pm. Small parking lot, but because we came in off peak (weird) hours, it is rarely an issue for us. And today we got lucky as the lot was full but a car gave us his space. Service - The team is so welcoming and friendly. This is the #1 reason we are loyal customers. Events available - See website. Again, my first but NOT last time that I will attend an event. We will probably come back Sunday for the Mt Rose Passholder Spring Sale. Price - Expensive, but worth the quality, service, and culture. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1973. And thank you for also giving 1% to not-for-profit workers "to defend the earth." And having programs that raise awareness of environmental and social issues. My favorite program is Worn Wear. You can either sell Patagonia your used clothes or trade them in so they can fix it. I believe that reusing is better than recycling. This place was definitely worth a visit. I walked in, and it looks really nice. They have a repair station just in case you get rips or holes. They definitely have a great selection, but if they don't have your size, they are able to order it in. The employees there did a great job explaining how their jackets and pants work. They mentioned that if I do get holes, there are patches you can put on, or you can bring them in, and they will repair them for you. It is quite expensive for the outfits and jackets, but it is worth the purchase. Also, the reselling value is pretty great and sustainable! read more

It pays to stop in once in a while. A friend and I were just walking in the neighborhood, and I said I should stop in soon. So why not now. I was checking on a waterproof pair of pants for an upcoming adventure. What luck, there was an entire rack of women's waterproof pants on clearance. Color really didn't matter to me, I just needed a medium. Took a couple of pair to the dressing room to see how they fit. Perfect. Even better the $265 pant were only $75. The staff here are fabulous. We welcomed as we walked in. Quickly addressed when walking up to the dressing rooms. Immediately offered to return the extras to the rack. And check out was just as polite and speedy. They always have a great selection and the discounts seem pretty deep. I need to stop in more often. Limited street parking. read more

I was excited to have time to visit the Patagonia outlet on my recent trip to Reno. It's a beautiful store and the staff are all friendly and helpful. They have a wide selection of current and past season clothing and accessories. I was lucky to be there when a sample sale was going on and I picked up a vest and two rain coats at discount prices. Amazing store with great prices. Section in the front is like any other store but where the real magic (and savings) happens is towards the back! Was in Reno for 4 days, we visited every day because they were putting out new items constantly. Returns are easy at any Patagonia store. Sunday the line was pretty long to check out but every other day we didn't wait but 5 minutes max. Plenty of nearby parking, although we walked. Friendly staff. Great selection. Employee (wish I had gotten his name) even went above and beyond to look for a jacket I absolutely loved in my size. He wasn't able to find one but I appreciated the effort. The Patagonia Outlet store is sort of tucked behind the Pioneer Center, of which the exterior presents a handsome historically refurbished brick building. It's also close to the river and most anything that's Downtown Reno. The friendly Security guard just inside the front door was a reminder of local crime (post COVID) reality. Past that "check point" was a wide selection of Patagonia products, of which the men's and women's sections were well separated. I had to smile at their selection of bib overalls, which I'm sure is a more fashionable upgrade than from my more practical Iowa upbringing. Past that bit of amusement, I was impressed with the selection and display of various goods. I also note that REI (a couple miles down the road) has a decent Patagonia selection, just in case you want to compare styles and brands. I was looking for hiking pants and socks, neither of which I found (to my liking) on this trip. As this is an outlet, my Size 11.5 feet wouldn't work with their sock sizes. The pants looked nice, but I'm big on feel and yesterday's selection was a little bit too "plastic" for my taste. I was even in a "a need an excuse to buy something" mode, but also came up empty. However, the beauty of outlet stores is that the next visit is a whole new experience. I also appreciated friendly staff, who knew to leave me alone until I was ready to ask a question or try something on. Street parking was plentiful on this warm and sunny Sunday afternoon. read more

I love Patagonia's commitment to environmental sustainability, especially considering the devastating impact of fast fashion and the general clothing industry on our planet. Their clothes are of very high quality and can be quite fashionable. However, I rarely shop at Patagonia due to their high prices. When I visited Reno and discovered this outlet, I was astounded by the selection and varying prices they offer compared to a regular Patagonia store. It is still not affordable for many because the cheapest price their items can get to is around $80-$100 (perhaps cheaper), but for a Patagonia sweater, that's pretty much a steal! During my visit, they were offering 30%-50% off their items (which could vary each month). I was able to find a few sweaters that I liked. Their staff was approachable, and the store offers an accessible fitting room. They have clothes for regular and daily fits as well as winter and sports activities. I was told that they rarely have additional size/color options in their backroom, so whatever is inside the store, that's probably all they have. read more

Was on a work trip and remembered Father's Day was around the corner. What better place to find a gift than the Patagonia outlet where you can get things for 50%+ off the retail price!?! Store was clean, security guard was super nice and friendly- held the door for us coming in and going out, and was a warriors fan!! A++ I came in pretty much 25 min til closing and I didn't want to be that person who held up anyones time to go home so I did my power-shopping and headed to the checkout with 10 min to spare. The cashier and I exchanged pleasantries and he took out a small box of stickers. He said I could take what I liked on the house. Kind Sir, I sifted through my trash just to find my receipt to identify you. Employee #39436 - while at the airport going home, it hit me that I totally forgot to buy Reno souvenirs for my kids. I didn't want to pay an ear and a toe for something at the airport gift shop and remembered you gave me stickers! Some of the stickers said "Patagonia Reno" on them. Totally saved me. Not to be the one who says everything was better before, but the old outlet store at the warehouse was amazing. Great deals, cool staff, and a rugged, no frills place to get quality Patagonia gear at great prices. Sadly, with the move to the deserted, dusty streets of downtown Reno all that is gone. We recently had a newborn son and we are so thrilled. Both grandmas have been incredibly helpful. who the heck gives Patagonia 4 stars?? maybe people are disappointed because they expect Gap outlet prices, but this is Patagonia . as a Sustainable brand owner myself I can attest that this is an incredible company going way out of its way to pioneer more sustainable business models and they have extremely high quality clothing. We don't get a lot of super high-end stores in Reno so I'm very grateful that we have the Patagonia outlet here and it's fun to go down there and shop there sale items. Patagonia is not a cheap clothing store. One of the best things they have down here is a kids section with super good deals on all sorts of cute kids stuff. And their outlet section in the back is a good way to access new, high-quality Patagonia clothing. The front of the store is new clothing that is not discounted. The staff here is always impeccable just like the brand. There is plenty of parking with their own dedicated lot and it's always a super pleasant experience going in here. Are you guaranteed cheap deals every time? Nope. But just like any outlet it's good to stop in periodically and hunt around to see what they have. read more

Patagonia... This definitely is not an inexpensive shopping experience. This local to me outlet, is actually not that local. It is definitely one of my stops when I am in the Reno area. Patagonia has a limited amount of outlet locations scattered throughout the United States. They range in location, and ironically, the placement of the outlets is either extremely strategic and well thought out, or just by happenstance, placement of their outlet stores seems to be in very unique places. This particular location you absolutely would have to know about, because it definitely is not anywhere near the main stream of things. I love the building that it's in, and even though parking is somewhat limited? they do have their own small parking lot. Patagonia has a very interesting business model, and rather than boy you with the details of how and why they run their business, I'll leave it to you to google and you can make up your own mind about the business. As for the store, I have shopped both in store, as well as ironically, over the phone with this location. This location is definitely one of their smaller outlets, and they definitely are always busy. Because of the quaintness of the store, items tend to be fairly limited. Customer service is always great, and their current manager is a total doll. She recently helped me out with my search for a clothing item that was to be a gift, and we ended up shopping over the phone for additional items. Yes, she's that good LOL Buyers tip - get on their mailing list so that you receive emails about their sales. While the price tag is a little hefty year for Patagonia products, their sales are worth going to. This particular location carries both men and women's clothing items, as well as, some of the other fun items that Patagonia makes. Their luggage being one of those items. Their luggage isn't necessarily my style, but from what I've heard other customers say that are into outdoor rugged sports, they absolutely would use nothing but Patagonia backpacks etc. Helpful hint if you end up having to return any of their items to them, they do keep an extensive database with your name etc. which makes returning items fairly easy if you happen to lose the receipt. I definitely would recommend the Patagonia outlet versus buying some other items in some of the larger department stores. For the most part you probably will get a better deal here, and while some of the styles literally may be of the recent season past, no one is really going to know that. The only items that I now know through experience to not purchase are their lighter polo shirts ( hence the 4 stars ) The material is fairly thin, and while the colors are super cool, that's the only plus to some of these shirts. I love that there is only one Patagonia outlet in existence and it happens to be where my folks live! This is a fun store to just drop in and walk about in. They have a private parking lot and also there is street parking. The store isn't terribly large but it houses a lot of product. I have found cute stuff for myself, my mom, and friends' kids here. The people who work here are also really friendly and helpful. It's a really positive place to drop by, even if you're just checking out what's good. read more

The Patagonia Outlet is located in downtown Reno on the corner of South Center Street and State Street. It's hard to miss this beautiful brick building. The store has a great vibe with all the clothing options, from snow gear, hats, summer options and so much more. I went down to the store to get some family members gifts for the Christmas holiday. I'm not a fan of shopping and immediately when I walked into the store Gina came up to help me. She was amazing and worked with me and got me outta there as soon as possible. Prices are around 30-50 percent off for jackets that are discounted. Prepare to still pay top dollar. Quality of clothing is very good and they do have a nice selection. This was the best customer satisfied experience ever. All due to Kelly. We walked into the store. Kelly greeted us immediately and asked if we'd ever been in the store before. We said yes. Our visit today was twofold. I wanted to purchase another Houdini windbreaker and also ask about our water repellent parkas that were showing some wear & tear. Kelly took responsibility for the jackets. She explained the reason for the wear & tear. She said she'll see what can be done. She was very non threatening, and made us feel hopeful. Meanwhile we took our time looking at the store merchandise. A little while later Kelly approached us with the solution to our jackets. We left very pleased with Kelly's decision. Kelly is a huge asset to the store. It turned out Kelly is the store team leader and retail marketing coordinator. And Kelly was the one that answered my email inquiry the day before.
