Been coming here for a few years now. Every time I go I seem to get less for a similar amounts of recyclables. So I decided to run test. I counted out exactly $12.00 worth of recyclables (based off CRV) and went to the recycling center. Upon weighing the items I received $9.26. Meaning that they skim $2.74 off the top (~23%). I completely get that they are trying to make money too, but I was surprised by the percentage they are taking. It's a recycling center, what can I say? Go all the way down through the parking lot inside the fence, they have parking spots right where you need to be. Definitely have your materials sorted before coming here, it'll save you a lot of time. Good thing here is that you can pull right up, park getaway, put your recyclables into the baskets to get weighed right in front of you, bring your reciept to the cashier and get paid. Pretty efficient setup. Only complaint was that the workers weren't wearing masks when I was here. Doesn't matter if it's outside and distanced, they should still be wearing. Some people may not realize it, but recycling can get you a pretty decent chunk of change from time to time. I've been doing it for years now, but in doing so, I've had to change recycling centers from time to time as well. This haul was the biggest I've ever had to do (spoiler alert: I made over $100). I've been procrastinating because the recycling center I used to go was terrible. Good news is that Renovate is a complete 180 compared to the other place. The parking lot is spacious so you can sort out your recyclables if needed. The dudes that work here are chill too, one of the guys even helped me as I had a lot of recycling baskets to bring over. I ran out of printer paper, so I couldn't print out their coupons, but visit their website. They also have different locations. Speaking of location, if you're having difficulty finding the place, it's right behind Taqueria de Anda (amazing food btw). It's tucked away all the way in the back once you turn into the driveway. Oh man, you guys weren't kidding with the reviews. Literally just left this place an hour ago. You do have to turn into the 516 Chapman parking lot, and it's alllll the way in the back. You'll want to drive all the way in to park; don't park outside the gates, as you'll have a difficult time getting your recyclables in the bins without a lot of traveling. Once you park, grab the wired bins for to separate out plastic and aluminium, and grab the green bins for glass. They have two scales to weigh and, once done, they'll hand you a post it note and you can go to the cashier on the north-most side of the business (basically, it's facing the gate/entrance). The rates are definitely fair and a little more than what I would get at other recycling places, though I'm also sure that I was getting lowballed badly at other recycling places. Make sure to print out the coupons from their website. There were at least a dozen cars with a ton of recycling being done. I didn't have as many recycling as others, so I was able to request for a weigh-in once there was a meter available and no other patrons were ready to go. Overall, got in and out in probably under 10 minutes. Had no issues. Staff was incredibly courteous and professional, with no awful attitudes or "why-me" attitude. Will be back! read more

With all the recycling places closing we were lucky to find this one, and the service was worth the search! They actually helped us unload our recyclables and it went very fast. They are hard to find but don't give up! If I had to give you directions, they are in Placentia on Chapman Avenue going east, two driveways past Northgate Market shopping center. Turn in and drive past the fence into the recycling area. You will see a canopy that says Leonard's and their refunds are very good. We came away with $50+ for cans and plastic bottles and will be going here with all our recyclables! read more

I usually recycled at the little places inside shopping centers such as target, Albertsons, or food for less but realized they were pocketing more then half my money. I decided to try this place out based on the reviews and I can say I do not regret it! They have such nice and helpful employees! They also work hard and fast so that you're not waiting more then 5 minutes in the sun. Any questions I had they were kind enough to answer thoroughly. I used to go to this place because it was close but I found somewhere better. They will only allow you to count up to 50 bottles to get your individual CRV back. Hey, I paid it and I want it back. Renovate allows you to count up to 200 so I go to their location in Brea now. This means you get more money than if they weigh it. The place is also hard to find and especially dirty.
