But there is separate room with billiards pool tables, and an adjoining room with a bar. They also served food (which I didn't get this time). Worker Daniel M. was super friendly and helpful. He even comes over to various lanes to give bowling tips... I truly appreciated you. Prices are very reasonable. I will be a regular!

When I visit family in Clermont (I live out of state), I like to take them bowling and, in past years, we've have good times at Clermont Bowling. But things have changed, and it seems to be all about them making more money even if it makes your experience unpleasant. Their current pricing model charges you per person, per hour, payable in advance. When making a reservation for 5 people, I learned that I could not have 2 lanes; all 5 of us would have to bowl on one lane. When we got there, we got put on a lane that shared a ball return with another group of 5. Each lane only has 4 seats, so there was not room for all of us to sit. The ball return was overcrowded with all our balls, and they were falling on the floor. Two hours and $100 in lane fees later, we were able to finish 2 and 1/2 games. A couple lanes away, a single bowler spent $17 for the lane for an hour, including shoe rental, and finished 4 games. His buddy, also a single bowler, was in the adjacent lane. In addition to the $100 we spent on lane fees, we also spent another $100 on food and drink. As I remember, they used to have servers. Now you have to walk to a window to order and wait for someone to take your order. You also have to wait for them to prepare your drinks while your fellow bowlers wait for you to come back to take your turn. All the while the clock is running on your bowling time. They DO bring your food to you, but they never come back. You are expected to bus your own dishes. Oh, they used to have beer on tap, and sell beer by the pitcher, but no more. I guess they make more money selling you individual bottles, one at a time. But that doesn't mean they forgot to leave the line for Tip off the receipt. Unfortunately, there's not another bowling alley in town, so we'll probably be back, after we do mini-golf, go-carts, and anything other fun thing we can find.

I read a negative review about someone's son getting hurt and not being notified. This has not been my experience. The one time when my son and his friend were throwing an object back and forth In the pool and my son got hit in the eye accidentally, they called me immediately and the P.A. was able to write him a prescription and she took care of everything. The camp is a little "quaint" but that adds to its charm. Last year my son did a week at another camp and begged me to only enroll him at Camp Horizon. It was way overcrowded at that other camp and the food terrible. I will be sending my daughter to Camp Horizon when she old enough. I appreciate they keep the price reasonable too.

It is off the beaten path in rural Leesburg. You enter through a quaint tree lined road and reach the campground that is situated on lake Harris. The dock reminds me of something out of the movies. It is wooden with an upper deck that looks out over the massive lake. The camp director was nice and let us take a walk around. The grounds were so peaceful and relaxing. The buildings are older but well maintained. They have air conditioned cabins, a gymnasium, snack bar, chapel and dining hall. The price includes 3 hot meals for the week. There are discounts if you attend two weeks and if you have a sibling that attends. I would have visited a long time ago however they have van trasportation from Pembroke Pines for only $10. each way!!! They don't have any televisons and they don't allow campers to use cell phones or electronics. My kids come home tired after having a blast all week . Last year my daughter had such a good time that she actually got camp sick. When she got home she was upset for days because she wanted to go back!!!
