Suffice it to say, it's a classic car that I wanted to look good, but I was on a budget at the same time. However, before deciding to have them paint my car, I spoke with Tim, one the co-owners, who has decades of industry experience and knows what materials and paint to use. The bulk of their work is collision repair, but they also do classic cars, and sport cars to restoration and show car quality. there is always a classic muscle car or 3 they are working on. Their prices were also very reasonable, and painted my car even though they didn't do the body work. In fact, they fixed a couple things they didn't have to fix that was left over from the previous body worker, and sanded down and re-primered the parts they fixed. That was really cool, because they didn't have to do that, either, and they didn't charge extra for doing it. They painted 3 coats of base, and 3 coats of clear and my car looks great! Better than it ever did. Also, while I was in the waiting room a few times, I saw how Tim interacted with the customers. He was very nice to them and accommodating. One customer wanted to repair their car, but wanted to pay out of pocket instead of an insurance claim, and Tim worked with that person, even adjusting the price some to help that person afford it. A lot of places just do it for the insurance claims, but don't help the person trying to save a few bucks by avoiding a claim. Bottom line is I had a very positive experience with Redbird Automotive, and I was happy with the reasonable price, and the quality of work they did. There are a lot of body shops that charge a little less, but use far inferior quality materials, but I feel Redbird is run by a nice people who are a straight shooters, and is a shop you can trust.

Mr. Guy replaced the O2 sensor, charging me a total of $253, and assured me the problem was resolved. Which i had to pay twice However, the check engine light returned shortly after. He then claimed the issue was with the second catalytic converter, as my vehicle has two. I agreed to the repair, but once again, the light came back on. He then informed me the problem could be another sensor and replaced one more. I purchased another sensor myself because I was frustrated with the ongoing issues and paid him to install it, but the light returned yet again. After multiple unsuccessful repairs and charges, I had the vehicle scanned at O'Reilly's, which confirmed that the same Bank 1 O2 sensor (that Mr. Guy had initially replaced) and the catalytic converter were still faulty. To verify, I consulted another mechanic, who performed a diagnostic and confirmed the same: the Bank 1 O2 sensor and catalytic converter remained defective, indicating that the necessary repairs were never properly performed. Despite all this, Mr. Guy attempted to charge me again for another diagnostic, even though the original issues were never resolved. I feel I was misled, overcharged, and the work performed was both ineffective and possibly negligent. This place is shit please don't waste your time or money.
