We had a great time on our tour. It's less dusty than a similar tour we did in CO which was a nice surprise. (It's still really dusty so wear the right clothes !) Frank was our guide and he was fantastic. We were the only ones on the tour so I think he was able to let me drive at a slightly faster pace (top out around 35 mph). The most fun you will have in El Paso! Who doesn't like 4-wheelers? Seriously. Rent an ATV is exactly what it sounds like, a place out by Red Sands (yes Red, not White) that you can rent a 4-wheeler from. Hourly pricing ranges by which ATV you're getting so it can be either $45, $55, or $65 an hour. You pay up front and you also must pay a deposit (ranging by how you're paying i.e. cash, debit, or credit). The deposit shouldn't be an issue because it is returned if you don't damage the ATV. This is a review for RAA, but you really can spend all day out at Red Sands. Rent out the ATVs for a couple of hours and then camp out there. The Snack Shack at RAA is also where you rent everything out (they have helmets as well) and they'll instruct you on how to handle the 4-wheeler without it cutting into your rental time. The Snack Shack has a few things for camping and a bunch of, well snacks. It comes in handy if you didn't remember to bring something with you. There is a paintball field really close to RAA so you can do that as well and make it a weekend thing. read more

First lets talk about the super adorable 9 year old who greeted us! He is beyond his years and already has a good work ethic! So! We were greeted I think this place was awesome! Today was Valentine's Day and I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with an out of the box gift. So I took him ATV ing and we had a blast! The deposit for the ATVs are a tad steep but after hearing that someone stole one in the past I can understand the importance of fingerprints and so fourth. The device was awesome!! I recommend showing up early we did and were able to start a little sooner as there is a lot of paper work. I recommend bringing a major CC as the deposit is 150 per ATv also it takes line 45 min to get use to them. We went for 2 hours and had a ball. I was intimidated at first but I had a great time as soon as I got comfy! I do think we will be back:-) read more

Idk about you but I don't want to sit passenger the whole time...the staff is really nice that's why I give it two stars, they are great. They stop and take pictures for everyone. Just very nice people. The utv has a stopper on it so you can't go past 45. I just don't think it's worth $300 for a tour. Also there's a $15 dollar fee for insurance. You're responsible if someone hits you...If I knew I don't think I would have booked. I just feel like I wasted $300 to sit in the passenger seat only going 45 mph. These are the people that haven't been trail riding in a razor before. It's about the ride and experience. Not tearing up the desert as quick as you can. Yes, there are insurance requirements, deposits. and oh my rules. Your renting expensive equipment, of course any reasonable person would expect that. My family enjoyed the day greatly. It was worth the money spent. The equipment is in excellent shape. They go over the equipment with the driver so you know how to drive properly. Me and my friends had been talking about going to Red Sands and riding around on ATVs for quite some time so when we heard about Rent an ATV it was like our prayers had been answered. We finally came here a few days ago and this place is awesome! The folks at Rent an ATV are very friendly and although pricing seems expensive from the outside looking in, rest assured, you'll only be spending anywhere from $44 to $64 per hour depending on the size of the ATV plus very low fuel charges. There is a refundable deposit but you'll get that back in full as long as you don't damage one of their vehicles. Once all payments are in order, they give you a short ATV class to ensure your safety and then its off to the races! Red Sands itself is amazing. The dunes are beautiful and riding around is incredibly fun. 1-hour went by and my group was completely drained but trust me, you'll definitely feel as if though you've gotten your monies worth. The staff was very friendly, pleasant, detail oriented, and thorough. They have a hefty deposit fee, however, my friends and I got our entire deposit back. Our rentals included a helmut and goggles. Normally you will be charged for gas- but the fee is waived for military personnel. They also rent sand sleds for $12/hr. The small gift shop sells a few snacks, racing gear, flags, and also does repairs. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in November and didn't see hardly anyone the whole time. It's a cool place if you're an inexperienced driver or if you like just a trail cruise. You don't go over 30mph the whole time and there's so many rules and regulations (which I understand have to be there) but I was unaware just how many there was and I got yelled at for fishtailing the buggy. btw be ready for some rediculous insurance policies. If you like going slow and not doing anything "dangerous" then this is the place for you. Staff was nice and buggies were in great running condition. The guilded tour also comes with the tour guild telling you about the land scape on your tour which is cool. So yes to sum it up I had a great time...outside of the actual driving part. I recommend you bring your own buggies to this park and drive it yourself and not rent from this company you will have way more fun if you actually like going fast and having an adrenaline rush. read more
