    This was a nightmare from the very start. They were supposed to give me a RAV4 somewhere car and…read moredecided to give me an expedition saying it was a free upgrade. Y'all know that the gas mileage on this car is so much worse than the RAV similar car, making it more expensive. The gentleman decided after I lectured him for a while to give me a discount. I went to the car and it was not even in the spot, it was over in the Service area. But he had left for the day. The car had 52,000 miles on it And all he wanted to do was get it out of his inventory because I was going up to Syracuse and making it a one-way rental. Low and behold halfway through the trip eight minutes before meeting our hotel, we had a flat tire. We called budget and they told us they could not help us out. So I went to Google found out how to get the spare tire off the back and mounted it myself. We were then told to go to the local budget place to get a replacement. We went there and they had no cars and told us we had to go to the airport. We went to the airport and upon arriving, they checked us in automatically. So when we went to get the replacement rental, they couldn't do it on the same contract. They ended up charging us again for another rental. We got back to Syracuse and called the budget customer service and they told us we would have somebody contact us to credit us for the second car and discount the first car. Nobody called us for four weeks. So I called back. Then I got the manager who ended up taking off the extra credit, but wouldn't give me any discount on the rental despite the fact that I had to change the tire myself and waste almost a day trying to get another rental. This is still not complete and I still have more to go. In the end, I will tell you never, never, never, never rent from Budget or Avis. They will never get my business ever again. This was the worst experience of my life on a 2000 mile trip. Good riddance budget and I hope everyone who reads this never used you again. I tried to give them a good review expecting customer service to take care of me and they were worse than the experience I had on the road. The guy was narcissistic and wouldn't even listen to my reasoning for discounting the first rental. I couldn't even get an English speaking individual. They just don't care about the customer. Do not, do not rent from this company.

When…read morethe day come to go pick up my truck rental, I get a call 15 mins prior to pickup saying that my truck rental is not available. I said "that's okay, let's move it the next day." The next day come and once again I was heading to the rental location and I get another call saying my truck is not ready again and it wouldn't be ready for another 4hrs. I get another 3 calls throughout the day until I said that's it and I drove to the store to find out what's going on. The front desk rep "Trisha" was rude and acted like she didn't want to help me after telling her I only had 2 hrs to be out of my apartment due to the setbacks by budget. She told me she would go pick up the vehicle and it would be ready in an HR or 2. Before I can get in my car, I got another call from her saying the truck will not be available at all. I called Custer service 4 times and they just kept telling me they would return my phone call in 15 mins. Well, it's been 3 hrs and no help. Please save your money and time and go to uhual or Penske!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worst experience ever!!!!!!!!

    One of the most disappointing customer service experiences I've ever had. Booked a "Manager's…read moreSpecial - Gas Vehicle" through AAA, along with trip insurance. Receipt clearly states: "Unless otherwise specified, cars may be gas, diesel, hybrid, or EV powered. Changes to the vehicle offered may result in additional fees." Despite this, the attendant insisted that an electric vehicle had been booked and tried to charge an additional $200 for a gas-powered car -- the very type originally reserved. When this was pointed this out, he admitted he has had "arguments with AAA about this issue" before, indicating that this is a known and recurring problem. If this is such a common point of contention, this promotion should no longer be offered. It comes across as a manipulative tactic to upsell customers under misleading pretenses, especially when people are in a desperate situation and need a vehicle. The staff made no effort to resolve the issue or offer any form of compromise. The attendant was unhelpful, dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. While I regret that the situation became heated, it was incredibly frustrating and frankly outrageous. In contrast, I went to Enterprise down the street and was met with respectful, accommodating service, and a much better rate. If Hertz locations like this one are not going to honor the terms of their offers, they should reconsider making them available at all. I strongly recommend avoiding this location due to its questionable, and quite frankly unethical practices and poor customer service. Will absolutely be reporting to the BBB about this unfortunate situation.

Upon drop off, the guy working offered me coffee, water and a place to sit as he kept checking all the angles my taxi could be coming from. Great service! Car was new and very clean. Something I wish my local Hertz could figure out.
