Watertown, NY store is not connected. Scheduled an alignment appointment on line at Goodyear website. Received confirmation number. Went in for appointment 8am Saturday morning July 18th. Associate at desk said in a direct tone I didn't have an appointment. I had the appointment printout with a confirmation number. His reply was that happens all the time. They don't always get the information in their system when making an appointment online and it's a corporate issue. He went on to state we couldn't take you in anyway as our alignment machine has been down and they don't know when it will be operational again. Well if they don't know who does? Out the door I go accomplishing nothing. Would not matter anyway as I will never do business with any Goodyear Store again and encourage others that if they do then make their appointment do it directly with their local store and not the Goodyear Website which has flaws. read more

After trying to top-up my tire air pressure at THREE gas stations paying $2 each time to activate the air pump that didn't work I stopped here at Goodyear. They welcomed me with open arms, checked/topped up my tires and sent me on my way with a "have a safe trip" no charge smile. These guys are the BEST! read more

The staff was friendly and they guys at the shop got me in quickly On another note I do frequently go to the Rome, NY location. The phone is always busy and I can never seem to get a call back. took our 2 year old vehicle in for new tires and inspection...Got it home after about $800.00 to them. Like the next day or two tire started leaking air alert came on the car. The next vehicle we own needed an inspection and had an appt. so took the tire off the car just worked on & they said the valve stem would not fit properly due to the rim.... Ok so the tech did not notice fit problem during installation? BRAND NEW TIRES AND COSTLY BILL! So then tech says it may be corrosion in the rim that is to blame. Just cleaned it up a bit and said try that. Next day same problem. So driving around with a donut instead of one of the 4 brand new tires we bought because that fits fine and light goes off. Had to order a new rim. Been Goodyear customer about 20 plus years. Not happy at all with this lack of attention and customer service. read more

I am very up set I went to goodyear in Watertown and they never tightened all my lug nuts and one was missing listen I'm a first responder when I have to go I have to go and if I was responding to an emergency I would of had my own emergency update: spoke with Goodyear they were very apologetic and told me to get it in at any point of today and they would take care of the issue so hopefully that mean replacing my missing lug nut read more

I found I had a flat tire mid day on a Saturday. Everyone I encountered was very helpful and friendly. They were able to squeeze me in and they were very thorough diagnosing the issue with my tire. They fixed me up and had me on my way much faster than I had assumed as a walk-in mid day on a Saturday. I recommend coming here for any tire issues or other maintenance. read more

My car did not start due to cold weather and had to be brought to Goodyear the day before Christmas Eve at around noon. Knowing our travel plan and need for urgent repair, they diagnosed the problem quickly. They couldn't determine the exact cause of the issue but were able to fix it in a few hours. Because they couldn't figure out the issue, they only charged us half of what they could have charged. I appreciated their kindness and earnestness to get us back on our travel. read more

We live in Buffalo and my daughter was on her way to the Adirondacks when her brakes stopped working. She had just had gotten new brakes at a Buffalo garage a few days before. The AAA-tow truck driver said a bolt was not put on properly and rattled off. He dropped her off at the Goodyear on Arsenal in Watertown and said it was closed and she'd have to wait until Monday which meant she would be stranded in Watertown for a day and a half before the car could be looked at. It was a little after 5:00 but I decided to call anyway. Chris at Goodyear answered the phone and said they'd take a look at it- he took my information and my daughter's and within 20 minutes he called us back and they were putting another bolt on. She was back on the road in no time. I can't thank Chris and manager Steve enough for going above and beyond to help! read more

Made an appointment for a NYS inspection for 10am. Showed up a little early...930am. I waited 15 minutes for someone to come help me but I thought no big deal as my appointment wasn't until 10am. Guy walked into the lobby and asked me annoyingly why I was so early...really? Not less than 4 customers walked in after me and were out the door. I'm writing this because it's currently 1130am and I'm still waiting to get my car inspected. Btw they just told me there isn't anything wrong with my car, just that the rear tire tread is "dangerously low" but they'll STILL PASS IT (strange suggestion for a tire place?) Don't show up early because it seems they make you wait longer if you do. Also, may recommend showing up late or not making an appointment at all. read more

I blew out a tire and needed it replaced, so I went to the Goodyear shop. The first day they got me in and out right away, because we discovered the tire was not repairable and would need to be ordered from farther away than a quick jaunt across town (my car takes a weird size tire). I wish they had checked if the tire was in stock before I drove all the way there. When the new tire came in, they got me in and put it on the rim and on my car about 45 min. or less. Put my spare back in the trunk and I was on my way for a little over $100 (after coupon). Even though my husband was with me, they referred to me for all the questions about the car, since I was the one that called in initially (a lot of times car guys can be sexist, but these guys were very respectful). They offered us a military discount (but I chose to use the coupon to save a little more $ instead of the military discount). They did not try to sell me anything additional. I had checked online about how much this tire should cost, and while Goodyear wasn't dirt cheap, they weren't steep by any means either. They were very friendly to talk to and respectful. I give only four stars, because they didn't check the inventory on that tire before making me drive down there. read more

I am so pleased with the service I got here on March 14th! I desperately needed an oil change and they fit me in no problem the same day and threw in a free tire rotation. They also did a 19 point inspection which brought to light a few more things I hadn't known needed to be addressed. I liked that they made me aware of the issues and told me what needed to be done without overly pressuring me to get it all done RIGHT THEN, which is what I usually go through at other shops. They have a really nice waiting room with coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable but broke everything down to a level I could understand. (I'm not mechanically inclined at all) The other customers that I chatted with while there seemed equally pleased and the entire place really has a happy and comfortable feel to it. I'll be going here for all my maintenance from now on. read more

While my husband was deployed I had a couple issues with his 06 Dodge Ram. Our insurance had the truck taken to this shop to complete repairs and the shop could not have been nicer. They offer courtesy shuttles and military discount. Yay. They were also quite nice to take time with me and discuss different makes of vehicles as I was getting ready to car shop. On Tuesday, 5/23/17, we were traveling in upstate New York on I-81, about 40 miles south of Watertown. We lost all of the tire tread on the left rear tire of the fifth wheel RV that we were towing. The tire did not blow, so we were able to limp to the next exit, two miles away. Good Sam's Roadside Assistance replaced the tire with our spare and we were on our way to our destination, Cedar Point State Park near Clayton, NY. The next day, after parking the RV at the State Park, we drove to the Goodyear Tire Service Center on Arsenal St in Watertown, NY to see if we could schedule a time to replace all four RV trailer tires. Initially we were told that the service center could not accommodate a 40 foot trailer. But after speaking with the store manager, Steve Sherman, he determined that he could help us if we were able to drop off the RV in the rear parking lot of the Service Center. He said he would have to get extensions for the air tools that they use, but that would not be a problem. On Thursday morning, 5/25/17, we brought the RV to the Service Center parking lot. It was pouring rain, but Steve and his team replaced all 4 tires. What started out as a scary experience, losing am RV trailer tire while towing, turned into a very pleasant experience at the service center. Was a little disappointed at first. Explained my situation and was told the earliest appointment was 10 days later. Dropped off the vehicle before they opened and they got right to it. Picked it up a couple hours later and discovered that the same issue was there even though I asked the front desk guy if the mechanic had driven it. Brought it back the same day and talked to Steve the store manager who told me that what I had done would not have fixed the problem. I think what I explained got lost in translation with the other dude who seems to get flustered pretty easily. Steve got my car in relatively quickly and didn't charge for the final fix. Bottomline is to make sure you talk to Steve when you drop off and have an appointment. The long wait for an appointment is probably because they're honest. I'll likely go back for new tires when needed but this is not the place for an emergency repair and quick turn around. If you have the time then I recommend it. read more

Had my brakes fail at 5pm on the way to the Adirondacks, then hood latch went. AAA tow got me to the Watertown Goodyear which was still open. They couldn't fix it that evening, but got right to it the next morning. The customer associates, service manager and repairman kept me informed on what was going on and offered me advice on where to find things in town. Best thing was there was no shock on the price of the repair. If I had to break down somewhere, I'm glad I ended up here. read more

Super sketchy, bought a used car at 19k miles and I brought it in for a quick inspection invade there was anything I missed. They wanted to charge me to replace the power steering fluid as well as clean the fuel injectors at 19k miles. My car has no power steering fluid because it's all electric. Needless to say I'm not going back there. read more

These guys are amazing. I had an emergency with a tire (vehicle was driveable) on a Sunday while my husband was deployed, and also on a very tight schedule to get to Syracuse. They stayed and fixed the tire into lunch break so I could stay on schedule. They explained thoroughly what went wrong with the valve stem, the percentage of defects with this and my vehicle, and explained options and price very clearly and without pressure. I now also see them for oil changes; competitively priced, and staff are all very nice--not just nice, but genuine good people-- lobby is clean, large with TV and magazines, even the waiting customers are nice. They are open 7 days a week with great hours, and closed only 2 or 3 days the entire year. I have recommended them to several people, everyone had been happy with their service, and now that he is home, my husband is loyal to them also. I'd give them 6 stars if I could. read more

My car needed an alignment after installing a full new rack at home. These guys are not only polite but treated me respectfully, which I don't usually find with car mechanics since I'm female. I'm taking my truck there now that it has a minor problem and while they may not be the cheapest in town (they couldn't give me a better tire quote for snow tires) I regret going for a cheaper price on tires for the service I got elsewhere. I trust these guys to do a good job and treat me decently. read more
