We had an excellent experience with enterprise rental car. From picking us up at the airport to our delivery of the car back to enterprise and giving us a shuttle back over to our hotel. We also forgot something in the car and Sabrina who is a wonderful person went back to pick it up for us. The pickup experience was fine. The return was fine. Getting a receipt has been a nightmare, even though I am a frequent Enterprise renter. I have never had this problem before. Somehow, this location seemed to have no problem charging my card the day after I returned the rental after hours, but it is six days later, and no receipt is available online or has been emailed to me. When I call the Enterprise, it is in pending status, and I am told every day that it will be sent that night or the next morning. As a small business owner who depends on receipts for reimbursements from my clients, this is unacceptable - and I feel helpless as itemized receipts are the only way I can get reimbursed, and after hours, I can't get a receipt. Don't rent from here if you are a small business owner. They don't care about you. And I think I'll just fly into Syracuse to avoid this hassle. I rented a car from Enterprise in Watertown while on a family visit. I arrived on an afternoon that promised freezing rain into the evening and the representative offered me a larger 4 wheel drive vehicle instead of the economy model I had originally agreed to. He was concerned for my safety and was super thorough. The car was just right for the traveling I needed to do. When I dropped the rental car off early on a Sunday morning, I drove away with my friend and was nearly in Vermont when I realized my credit card was missing. The Enterprise folks had found it in the parking lot, and called to alert me. I asked that it be mailed to me and today received the card via FedEx. I had a super pleasant experience with Enterprise and want to commend them on their excellent customer service and for safely returning my credit card to me. Thank you for the good care! read more

I have been using enterprise for years and never had any problems. I always use my debit card, they would ask for a pay stub, a $200 deposit, and 2 forms of bills with a zero balance, and my out of state license. I just rented a car through them 2 months ago and had no issues. Today I tried to rent a car through them and I was told they would not rent me a car without a major credit card because I have an out of state license. I am extremely upset the reservation was for one day so I could take my handicapped mother sight seeing. I will NEVER be using them again. Even when my credit card comes in the mail. read more

We didn't get the vehicle we reserved, and was upgraded to a larger SUV, and charged extra for it. My thoughts were if they didn't have the vehicle you had originally reserved, then if upgraded to a larger vehicle, because that's all they had, there would be no additional charges ? When we returned the vehicle to the Airport in Syracuse, they corrected the payment, and all was well. The vehicle was very comfortable, and had plenty of room for our needs. The Staff in Watertown and Syracuse were very professional and courteous. And got us on our way in a timely manner. Good Job. read more

Three words. Terrible, Horrible, Incompetent. I needed car for one way trip after dropping my son off at Fort Drum. They cancelled my original reservation (which was made by an Enterprise employee). When they realized my trip was one-way they gave me a beat up car with scratches and dents all over. After I returned the car, Enterprise sent me two incident reports forms to fill out, attempting to blame the damage on me. Fortunately, I have time stamped photos from before I took the car off their lot. read more

Excellent customer service. You can tell this store has been reported as having bad customer service in the past, but they have turned themselves around and really been a pleasure to work with! My Chevy Tahoe was in the shop so Fuccillo set me up with a rental through Enterprise. I was promptly greeted as I entered the building despite the multiple customers being helped. They quickly brought the rental around and I was happily surprised to find it was an SUV comparable to my truck, the snow was brushed off for me, and the car was running with heater on and seat heaters nice and toasty! They even called me 24 hours after getting the rental to make sure everything was working properly and to make sure I didn't need anything else. Excellent service and I would certainly rent from them on another occasion! read more

A great Enterprise. Wish the hours of operation were a bit larger in range. Coming TDY into the Watertown Airport on Sunday meant I had to pick up a car the next Monday morning and then having to drop off the car on Friday night rather than Saturday morning for my flight. It's the only Enterprise in the city but the staff was really friendly and I got a free upgrade for waiting just a bit. They seemed empathetic to my vehicle needs and they were spot on and efficient with turn in! Definitely recommend for both out of towners and locals! read more

I set up a Car for pickup for the same day , we received a call shortly after saying that they would not have the car available and we could pick it up any time after 9am the next day, this was tolerable but when we arrived at 10:40am the next day the employee rudely told us we missed our "9:30" appointment time and we needed to be there at that time, she then told us we "had to wait at least 2 hours" to get the other vehicles, after bringing up the phone conversation she told us it was our fault for requesting a car same day "without 24 hour notice" and we are late for pick up. there was absolutely no attempt to fix the issue. Needless to say I canceled my reservation, and they will hopefully loose business due to this review and others like it. Blatant disrespect towards the customer. read more

This is the first and last time I rent from this location. A few weeks ago, I intended on renting a car here. I got a phone call from a woman who got an attitude with me because I didn't want to use a credit card to rent and instead wanted to use my debit. This time, where I went to didn't have any cars available, so I reserved again. Went in to pick it up, this time there were 2 "ladies" in there - the one I talked to previously and a younger one. The younger one is the one I dealt with. Very rude and unprofessional. She made a big showing of walking around the vehicle to look for dings and marks, so I walked with her and pointed out some she hadn't acknowledged. She copped an attitude. She was extremely brisk her manner. I've been renting from Enterprise for 20 years and they have always been my rental company of choice. Not anymore. Customer service skills are a must. read more

Car served the purpose. Brake fluid light came on early during my week long rental. The estimate on the website does not include car insurance which can add an additional $200 for max coverage in NY. See if your insurance already covers rental before agreeing to this insurance. Customer service was A+ at both locations, Yonkers and Watertown. read more

BEWARE! My put put car was paid by insurance, but if you don't upgrade the vehicle type or buy their own additional insurance, you may be unfairly targeted for "damages" when you return the car. I won't use them again, but if I did, I would video the initial walk around inspection and record the entire conversation. Be sure to get pictures from all angles of the car when you return it too. If you are dinged for damage you know you didn't do, make sure you get to inspect it (NYS law says you have 72 hours to notify them you want to see it) AND file a report with the Sheriff's department. You will be discouraged from doing so, but it definitely helps sort through the details. Shady practices. Poor customer service. I would not refer anyone to this place, even if they were the only game in town... which they are not. read more

There is a sign on the wall here that says "it is unlawful for any rental vehicle company to refuse to rent a vehicle to any person solely on the requirement of ownership of a credit card." The guy in front of me just got turned away with no car for not having a credit card. Wow that was special. read more

Terrible Customer Attitude! I made a reservation with this company for a car to be picked up on November 21, the evening before Thanksgiving. I had used enterprise several times before in San Diego with good results. My plane was due to arrive in Waterman at 4:45 pm. There was a delay in Chicago and we were advised that we would not get in to Waterman until 6:00 pm. I called the Waterman Enterprise location to give them a heads up and the person who answered the phone told me that the office closed at 6:00 pm. I asked if the plane were to be a little later than 6:00 pm they would still be there, right? His answer: We close at 6:00 pm. I said but I have a reservation, you can't just leave me stranded, I have a two hour drive to make after we land. His answer? You guessed it. We close at 6:00 pm. There are 3-4 other people on the flight in the same position. .??? And that is supposed to make me feel better. So I called customer service. I explained the problem to a very nice lady who thought the local office was being ridiculous so she had me wait while she called them. They told her: we close at 6:00. She suggested I talk to someone in customer service management. I was transferred to a man, who was very helpful and sympathetic. He could not believe that these people refused to wait for me. But he could not help me. He said he would contact a regional Manager. Yes, I said that would be great. But, he told me, since it was the night before thanksgiving I probably would not hear back until Monday or Tuesday. However, for my inconvenience, they would send me a coupon for one day free rental. Then I hears my plane was delayed and not due to arrive until 6:20 pm. Ok, I got on the Internet, found a company called Rent-a-Wreck. The only other rental agency in town. I called them. I said what time do you close. He said 6:00 pm. Darn. Then he said what do you need. I explained the situation, he said no problem, we've got a car, I will just wait for you until you get in. I finally arrived at 6:30 pm. They had a beautiful Jeep Patriot, with only 3000 miles on it, with Satellite Radio, for $49 per day. And a very friendly agent. So, bottom line. I will never rent from Enterprise again. I will tell this story to as many people as possible and post it to as many review sites as possible. Enterprise has no clue what customer service is. read more

Be careful and be thorough with what you rent! I reserved an intermediate car for 4 days, quoted $35/day total $171.... Got charged $334. Got there and the guy said "Ford Focus or Nissan Maxima?" Of course I assumed they were both in the same class and took the Maxima but the kid didn't tell me that was an increase in price. Then he asked me "basic or extended insurance?" Again, no quote given. I mistakenly said basic, thinking it was the same as no coverage. Maybe it's me, but I don't like to be offered options without pricing....guess they forgot Watertown also has a Hertz and Budget rental place in town. read more

I've been using Enterprise for my rental needs for over 5 years now and I have yet to experienced a bad rental experience.

I had an awful experience with this location. It all started when I gave them the COURTESY to tell them I was running late but on my way to pick up the vehicle. I was told by their representative that it was ok. Well, when I showed up the lights were out and the location was closed for the day. Why they set up a reservation at closing time is ridiculous but whatever. I told my wife that it would be ok and that we'll try again the next day. When we passed by the next day, they had just opened. When I told the lady at the counter what happened the night before, I was told my reservation was given to someone else! How can that be? She said I did not pick it up so it rolled over to someone else. Well, I explained to her what happened the day prior and they didn't even care. The lady on the phone overheard the conversation, and blatantly lied to my face saying that she told me that they were closing at 6. If that were the case, I would not have made the trip, which was why I called before driving down there in the first place! She made absolutely no sense, and did not take responsibility for what happened. After some back and forth she changes her story and says she didn't think we were coming from so far away. Who's fault is that? That is why I CALLED. Long story short, poor customer service and a don't care attitude is very obvious. Even though she messed up, a heavy set lady- said her name was Aaron(probably lying about that too) they did not want to accommodate me. Don't expect much from this location. I have rented from many companies in the past, this has been by far the worst experience I've had. If you need a car, I get it. Just don't expect much service. I'd exhaust all other options first. read more

My boyfriend and I rented here for the first time about a year ago and we swore that we would never go back. We waited for an hour for a car that we reserved weeks in advance, we felt pressured to buy their insurance and the young lady that helped us was very condescending. We ended up giving them another shot last month because they had the lowest prices. I went in expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised. Every employee acknowledged us and they had our car ready with the air conditioning running. We even got a call the next day from their manager, just to make sure we were happy with the car (a brand new Ford). You have reclaimed our business. Thanks for the great car and service. Location called to confirm reservation, missed the call. Location was busy every time I called back until several minutes before closing, when I was put on hold. After being hold for 10 minutes, unacknowledged, I hung up and called back. Needless to say the calls were not answered. My daughter had reserved the car but they needed my CC when we picked up the car, that is reasonable and they made a note to charge her CC when the car was dropped off. Still have not had the $300 deposit charged to my CC removed by Enterprise more than 3 days later, very disappointed all the way around. read more

Enterprise is the best company to rent a car from. First, they pick you up and if you live far away they have a reasonable range at which they can accommodate you. Second, they have the cheapest rates around Watertown, especially on the weekends, which no other company can come near. Finally, the car we were promised broke down and the amount of effort given to accommodate our distress was second to none, hence the five stars. read more

This is a very busy place but it's the best place around to rent a car. Their prices are good and they're really nice people. The last time I was there, I forgot my drivers license and they took me to my house to get it for no charge. The girl who brought me home was Jenna and she was so friendly. Their manager Erin even called me the day after I rented to check on me and ask about my experience. I was impressed.
