Hassle free. Good customer service. We rented2 bikes. It was $17 (each) for 3 hours. We got to ride the old San Juan bicycle route with a beautiful scenic view. Would rent again.

My boyfriend and I came to Puerto Rico for 6 short hours during one of our cruises. We really wanted to see the beach, but we were so intrigued by the oldest forts in the country, Castillo San Cristobál and Castillo San Felipe del Morro, that we decided to rent some bikes and ride around San Juanto visit them instead. The manager told us it was $15 for 3 hours, but since we were gonna be riding around for 5 hours, he let us pay him $20, which was a pretty fair deal. The bikes were kept clean, so that was a plus. They came with helmets and a bike lock too, which was very convenient when we had to park them outside the forts. The only thing I didn't like was the brakes, they weren't the best. The bikes came with pedal brakes (pedal backwards to stop) and a front brake. I had to use both of them to stop, especially coasting down the steep hills there. Even though we didn't get to see the beaches, riding our bikes around San Juan was such a memorable experience. I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Our guide was fantastic and this would be a great excursion for those on a cruise and here for a day. This was not an option the cruise ship offers and I am so happy we found this when we got off the boat. Fantastic service, very knowledgeable guide and what a fun way to see every inch of the city. With PR Sidecars you don't need a week in PR they will show you the hidden gems in hours. What an experience I will remember for a lifetime!! Our guide took all our pics, educates us on the city, recommended restaurants ((amazing)) and showed us places only tourist could reach. If you are cruising, this company was located right off the ship to the left!

Very appreciative of that!! On to the experience! My guide, Tom, arrived right on time and picked me up in front of my hotel. He kindly provided me with cold water and a helmet for the ride. From there, we spent the next hour and a half perusing the streets of Old San Juan in a stylish sidecar! (So much better than sitting in a cramped, sweaty van with 15/20+ others!‍) You get to cruise the cobblestone streets with the open air/breeze in your face feeling, as well as getting unobstructed, 360 degree views- it is AMAZING! There were many historic sights to see, along the way. Tom was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of Puerto Rico- I learned quite a bit in just an hour and a half! As we zipped around Old San Juan, Tom also pointed out some cool local eateries to check out, as well as places to shop. When you reach some of the destinations, you're able to jump out, take some photos and enjoy the views. I highly recommend PR Sidecars! You will enjoy and amazing ride, see some of the beautiful sights Puerto Rico has to offer and learn a thing or two along the way!

Pandora Tour Puerto Rico - Bird Trail at El Portal, El Yunque Rain Forest

    Pandora Tour Puerto Rico

    (19 reviews)

**This is a fairly long review - but highly informative!**…read more I booked an El Yunque hike with Pandora a few months ago based on some reviews I had read - and my wife and I are glad that we did! Our driver (and owner of the company) was Eddie. I got a couple of follow up texts and emails from Eddie confirming our pick-up time and a text 20 mins before we were supposed to get picked up...gotta love that follow up! We started out for the hike about 10 mins earlier than expected. We were supplied with water, soda and fruit for the trip. Along the way, we were given a lot of information - current and historical - on the areas we were driving through and the island in general. Once we got there, we watched a video on the rainforest that really tied together the information we had received on the ride in. We then trekked it up the mountain in the van until we hit the trailhead. The hike from the La Mina trail was amazing! So many photo-ops, plus there's a waterfall (wear shoes good for hiking and water of you're going to swim). The trail was mostly down-hill and paved....but it was closed at the waterfall, so the walk back was uphill and a little rough. Don't let that deter you ....We wouldn't have traded the experience for anything! After the hike and more photos on the way down the mountain (which lasted about 90 mins total), Eddie took us over to a local eatery near the airport...the food was great and cheap (even if we got the world's worst waitress! LOL). After lunch, we headed back to the hotel. Eddie asked us what we were getting into the rest of the day, so we told him we were headed to Old San Juan for the afternoon. Eddie offered to give us a ride down there (which we gladly accepted). He allowed us time to go up to our room and change before we left. He picked it's up in his personal car and drive us over...still giving us great information about the island, and also life - advice we will surely cherish. He left us near the docks - and I must say, it was a little sad ending our time with him. It was like being with an Uncle you haven't seen in a while. He really takes care of people, and seems to genuinely enjoy what he does. He puts a lot of hard-work into perfecting his craft as an excursionist and it really shows. I know it has already been said in another review, but we honestly do feel like we have made a friend in Puerto Rico, and will definitely be calling WHEN we come back! Thank you very much for your time today, Eddie...We thoroughly enjoyed it - you made our vacation extremely memorable and special!

My wife and I researched various tours and decided that Eddie was the one because he was willing to do a private tour with just us two to the top of the rainforest and Bacardi Factory. He went out of his way to make sure we had a blast! Our morning started with him picking us up promptly at 8:00AM at our hotel. He had fresh fruits, cold water, great service, and very good conversations. The night before he made sure we had all we needed before booking with him so we were all set as soon as we jumped in the van. He told us all about El Yunque and what we would see, while taking his time driving the crazy streets of Puerto Rico. Once parked, he made sure we stretched and took a few pics of us before starting the hike. We went through the trails taking all the time we needed since it was very muddy and wet. We went all the way to the highest rock and spent a few minutes admiring the view; then we went back down to see Mt Britton. He took a bunch of great pictures of us as we went through the trails and shared them on dropbox when we were done. After El Yunque he took us to Bebo's BBQ in San Juan which was phenomenal (he said it would be)! He then took us to the Bacardi factory and patiently waited for us to take the tour, all this and it was his birthday! We had a full day with him. He showed us interesting areas of San Juan on the way back to the hotel and we couldn't be happier! Eddie is a trusted, funny, respecting, fun, and caring tour guide! So much so that I feel we must contact him next time just to say hi and have a drink even if we do not want to go on any tours. One of the best things about Eddie is that he is VERY flexible with his schedule and he will take you anywhere (that is reasonable of course). I feel he is an excellent guide and companion which is great because Puerto Rico has gotten pretty dangerous over the years and it is best to be with someone who knows the area and the history, even if you just want to be cabbed around the island. We recommend Eddie and Pandora Tours with our eyes closed! We loved our tour!

The main reason the fort was built was to protect the city, and is now known as the largest fortification that was built by the Spanish in the New World. My family went during the summer, so it was extremely hot, there was not a lot of shade. I would recommend bringing water, snacks, and sunblock in order to have a good time exploring the fortress. In addition, in my opinion, I would say you should be in good health to visit the fortress, because there is a lot of walking and hills. Don't be afraid to bring your children, I liked that Castillo San Cristóbal had interactive areas where children could learn about the history and the importance of the fort in a playful way. Although Castillo San Cristóbal is not free to visit: $10 for adults and under 15 is free. If you have a national park pass issued through the United States, like my family has, you can go for free, paying no additional charge. Even though admission is $10, it's worth it. My family explored the fortress for 2 hours and the views of the ocean are also beautiful. Furthermore, the staff was extremely friendly, greeting us with warm smiles. There is a public restroom for you to use located underneath the giftshop. The restroom was extremely clean with no visible dirt on the floor. If you are visiting San Juan from the cruise port Castillo San Cristóbal is about a 30 minute walk from the port, but if you would like to you could also take public transportation. My family decided to walk and see the city of San Juan instead of taking the bus. All in all, if you like learning about the history of the area you are visiting I would recommend you to take a look at Castillo San Cristóbal to learn more about Puerto Rico's history. I had a wonderful time with my family during our port day in San Juan.

Note that there are some hills (some steep) and steps throughout the castle and its grounds...so pre prepared and wear comfortable shoes. Great location just steps from the streets of Old San Juan with tons of food options and other attractions. A short walk from the cruise port.

Travelers should be cautious about the cancellation policy. I was informed that cancellations were not allowed within 30 days of the stay. The business practice here is shady and deceiving. During an attempted room upgrade, we encountered issues on Expedia. The owner advised me to cancel first and then rebook the larger room and assured me it is free. Between the cancellation at night and rebooking next morning, I was charged $475. When I requested a refund, the owner initially stated that $50 was deducted as fee by Expedia. However, Expedia later confirmed that no such fee was charged. When I raised this discrepancy, the explanation shifted to unrelated justifications, e.g. they lost another customer because of me, blah blah.
