Our destinations during the day included the rainforest, a natural waterslide, a delicious food kiosk, the beach and a bio bay tour. Raul has a wealth of knowledge about Puerto Rico and its culture and was very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the tour. It was evident he truly loves what he does. He also has a great sense of pride in his home and its history. While I most definitely enjoyed the delicious food and wonderful sights and experiences, Raul himself left a profound impression on me. He is one of the most genuine, humble and hardworking people I have ever met. He has a terrific sense of humor and was very easy to get along with. After spending a few hours with him, I felt like he was part of our group of friends. At the end of the tour when he was officially "off shift," we invited him to join us at a small neighborhood bar near the condo at which we were staying. After a long day, he could have chosen to decline and go home; instead, we shared a few drinks and stories and lots of laughs. It was a fabulous ending to an epic day!!

We took the "You're the Boss" tour with Hector today for first day of my bachelorette trip. I was…read morewith 5 of my girlfriends and we ALL LOVED it. Hector is one of the best tour guides I've ever had the pleasure of traveling with. Our itinerary was basically the "Let me show you MY island" tour but we just asked for it to start two hours later (at 10am) and end at Farjardo where we are staying for the night. Hector was funny, informative, and so friendly. He really went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time and provide the best service possible: - We were 6 girls on my bachelorette and we forgot my selfie stick at home. We asked Hector if he can take a picture of all of us at the beginning of the trip. From that point on, he not only offered to take our photos at every stopping point but even directed us on where to stand so that we can get the best photo. - He really had a love of the island and its history and did a great job connecting all the dots of history for us from Puerto Rico's indigenous history to colonialization days and even all the famous people PR has produced throughout the year. He also gave a lot of great recommendations for everything from tourist shops to bars/areas we should visit. - Technically our tour was supposed to be 6 hours but Hector let us stay extra time at certain spots and brought us to places that weren't on the itinerary and always spent extra time getting our photos. He offered to extend the tour so that we can eat at a sit-down restaurant which we really appreciated. And at the end of our tour, even as he's dropping us off at our Airbnb, he stayed around until we opened the door before leaving. Puerto Rico is beautiful with such a long history but Hector really made this tour for us. We all had the best day and it was such a great start to my bachelorette. Extremely unprofessional & no remorse. She tried offering a tour of HER city. After I asked the name of her company she hung up on me as if I was the problem. The refund doesn't come for another 3-7 business which leave us with no money to book anything else. Horrible customer service and zero consideration for paying clients. We were totally fine as we heard the place gets packed super quick during the busy season (and we were glad we did). He also gave very detailed instructions as to what to bring. We were picked up at 6:50 and then we picked up another couple at 7:00 so 6 of us in total made for a very personalized experience. We were on the trail by 8:15. He offered to be in charge of our phones so he would take pictures and videos while keeping them safe in his waterproof backpack. We enjoyed the hike, waterside, cliff jumping and rope swings. Before arriving at the rainforest, we had made a quick stop at a fruit stand where Pablo picked up mango and avocado and while enjoying one of the natural pools, he cut it up for us for a delicious snack. We had one member in our group that took a bit of a tumble but Pablo remained very calm and professional and all ended up being fine and we continued with the hike. As we were wrapping up, we saw several very large tour groups making their way to the hike. So glad for that early start! Pablo took us to a place for lunch that was off the beaten path and so delicious! Burgers, wraps, fish tacos, freshly made fruit juices in cocktails all hit the spot! We were back to our hotel around 2 pm. Tip: Shoes!! Lots of people wore tennis shoes. Great for hiking but terrible for the very muddy parts and hanging out in the water. They will be totally covered in mud by the end. I used those water shoes that form fit around your toes, have great traction and has a velcro strap. Even though they fit well, they did slip off at the heel a few times when I stepped into deeper muddy areas. Others in our group wore Chacos. Those were the best. They had good traction on bottom and you can secure them on tightly with the straps! It will be VERY slippery no matter what shoes you wear.

We enjoyed the fact that Jean was our personal guide for the day. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the rainforest He was funny and informative at the same time and had lots of stories to share. My husband plans the best adventures for us and this was no exception. Once on site, we had a few minutes in the Margarita Bar to take a bathroom break, grab water or snack, etc. Then we went to another area to get our gear put on and then headed to the first line. Before getting started one of the guides gave instructions on what not to do with the gear, how to hold on and how to pull yourself in if you don't make it all of the way to the next platform. Next the adventure began. I don't recall the description saying that there were open-slated wooden bridges to cross or slightly steep and possibly slippery hills to climb. I can say that my nerves, glutes and hamstrings got an intense workout. lol. The last line ends back at the Margarita Bar, perfect for if you need a shot after. The guides help you get all of the gear off. The views were great, and I really did enjoy myself. I made it across successfully on all 5 lines. It was more work than I bargained for but I'm glad that I went and would consider doing it again. All of the tour guides assisting us were great and everyone in our tour survived the experience.

He kept us entertained on the ride to the rainforest by giving us information on things we passed on the way. Although the hike itself was pretty short due to covid and paths still being closed after Hurricane Maria, we still enjoyed a nice walk in the rainforest to the river. The river was absolutely stunning, the water was so clear and the swim was refreshing. Everyone felt comfortable enough to take a leap off of the platform into the river as well as a swing on the rope. Overall, we had an excellent time and would definitely book again!

It was very easy to book and they were always accessible for any questions or concerns. Jorge picked us up the morning of our tour, there was another couple in our small group of four. Jorge was great from the beginning, told us about growing up in Puerto Rico and asked us questions about where we were from as well. I was really looking forward to this tour, since it was described as exploring through areas that even some locals don't know about. It was truly off the beaten path. We started with a short hike to a beautiful waterfall, jumped off a cliff into the water below, and also had a nature lesson from Jorge as he explained the different plants/trees in Puerto Rico. We had lunch in the El Yunque rainforest at a little shop that had incredible views. Then continued along to hike through the rainforest to see five different waterfalls. It was a last minute cancellation less than 24 hours. I had booked the excursion with Expedia & I know they are extremely strict about cancellation after 24 hour cut off time. Due to not reading the part of the weight restriction until the day of the event, our family would of not been able to go together as a family & Joshua went above & beyond with his expertise & patience to help me get a full refund from Expedia by calling them personally. He knew they would have gave me a difficult time, so he took the time out & called them himself on our behalf.
