    Filthy seat

    I was shock and appalled at the FILTHY FURNITURE . The seats of the chair and the entire chair was disgusting. The columns were grossly stained, and when the items were returned they were repackaged for the next victim.. DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY..One of the worse party rental place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The only reason they got 1 star is because you need to show a review. Is it to much to ask that the items your renting be clean prior to delivery. The chairs and tables were all dirty and I had to scrub what appear to be grape juice or grape cool-aide off the tables. I emailed the company and got no response. The pick up of the rentals was late and I had to call and ask when they were arriving. Don't waste your time with these people because it's clear after they deliver the stuff they don't care. Yes

    All over the flower wall were these gaps, we had to use a black sheet behind it to cover the gaps.

    Horrible experience! We used this company for a bridal shower this past weekend. The drop off time for the rented pieces was 11am, they arrived at 1pm... our event started at 1pm. There was zero communication with us, and because it was a Sunday we were unable to get in contact with any staff! Then the furniture comes, it's dirty. Visible Scuff marks on the throne chair, dirty letter tables AND the flower wall had a ton of unattractive gaps in it. We also ordered and paid for draping for the flower wall which we did not receive. When we explained to the owner what happened with the delivery and everything being dirty, he said "no refunds" ... that was his only response. He wasn't concerned about our event, our how this affected us, just his pockets. Then to add insult to injury we send him a picture of the flower wall to show how much fixing we had to do to get it to look decent and he posts it on the IG! As if his company did something amazing?! We had to tape black sheets to the flower wall, in order to hide the gaps in it!! We asked him to remove the picture because it contained personal information, of the bride & groom who work for agencies that do not permit them being on social media, did the owner care? Nope. The pic is still up. Save yourself the trouble there are a million party rental in NYC find a different one.

    Order white drapes with crossbars along with a sweetheart table and four goblets. The items were delivered a day before my wedding, and my fiancée and I went into the room to begin setting up. (Oh yeah, they don't setup, only deliver!) We go in to begin setting up when I pick up on of the bars and I notice that I have oil on my hand. I look to see where the oil came from and it is on the pole. This lead me to take a closer look at the poles and the poles are horrendous! They have stickers on them from previous events. We immediately stopped and called Rent4Parties to explain the situation. We weren't going to be using their merchandise because it was dirty and I didn't want to stain or dirty the white drapes and we are hit with a bill for cleaning. We took pictures and emailed them while on the phone and Julie said that she was on the way to bring replacements and she asked us to take an individual picture of each pole and email it to them. We hung up with her and thought about it and decided we were not going to do that. The picture of my oil-stained finger and of the stickers should be enough. We called back and was informed that the driver was on the way with their guys to pick up the items and that a full refund would be issued. This was Friday, June 28th. As of July 4th, no such luck! Called multiple times on Wednesday July 3rd and one time we were hung up on by Paola and when we called back and asked for the manager, we were told that she would be in at 6pm. Called back after 6 to no answer! These place is garbage! They will rip you off and then cop an attitude when you call them on their bs! DO NOT USE OR RENT FROM RENT4PARTIES!!!

    Horrible service . They were 2 hours late with the equipment to the event and late to pick the equipment up . They steal your money !

    We had a very bad experience with Abbott and Sons Rental. I was hosting a party for my daughter…read morewhich began at noon. Delivery of the furniture and linens were scheduled for 9 - 10 am (which would have left at least 2 hours for set up). However, when they did not show up by 10:00, we began to call Abbott and nobody was answering our calls. The rental truck and delivery guys showed up after 11:30 am! It was a disaster trying to get the 7 tables and 33 chairs unpacked and set up - while guests started to arrive! Guests helped unpack and set up chairs, set tablecloths and decor, get the food displayed on buffet tables, etc. It was embarassing to say the least. The delivery staff wanted to dump and leave the furniture and we insisted that they at least help us unpack the folded chairs! Furthermore, we scheduled for pickup later that day. When they showed up to pick up the furniture they were RUDE to the security doorman, refused to show identification, and moved past our security to go pick up the rentals from the party room! Our doorman called us in the apartment right away and was very upset. Upon raising all of these issues to Colleen at Abbott the day after the party, she confirmed that the delivery time of 9 - 10 basically became unrealistic to them, although they NEVER tried to contact us to let us know they'd be VERY LATE, let alone respond to our calls that morning! She then denied the whole other incident of pickup and not following our building's security and entry policy. She said she believed her delivery staff's side of the story rather than ours. Clearly Abbott and Sons has no concern or respect for the customer. They've offered no money back (which now comes as NO surprise from this company.) Well, at a cost of $400 for the rentals I guess they figured a TERRIBLE review of their company was worth it to them. DON'T USE THEM!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

We scheduled our rental furniture to be delivered between 9-10am the day of my baby shower, which started at 12pm. At 10:15am I gave them a call to see where they were because no one had shown up or contacted me yet, but they didn't pick up the phone or return my message. I had to call a second time and the officer manager, Coleen, wasn't aware of the late delivery. She said she would find out and give me a call back, but she never did. The delivery staff didn't arrive until 11:30am!!!!! and the furniture wasn't in the room until 11:45am--15 mins before the party started. By that time we already had guests arriving, and had to put them to work to set the tables and prep the room for our party. To say they totally ruined the morning and caused everyone a TON OF STRESS on what should've been a joyful and stress-free day for the party hosts AND guests would be an understatement. SUCH A DISASTER. Then, when they came to pick up the furniture at the end of the day, they didn't contact me to coordinate or be escorted (again) and were EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL to my building's receptionist/security guard. When he asked them for identification they refused to provide it, gave him terrible attitude, and pushed past him. Not only is this completely inappropriate and unprofessional, but it is a security concern. I tried to give Abbott and Sons the benefit of the doubt by calling Coleen the following day to ask for an explanation and apology. Not only did it take multiple phone calls and messages over the next few days for her to pick up the phone, she was defensive and denied that her staff would treat anyone that way. She also told me there was a scheduling conflict and they had multiple deliveries scheduled for the same time that morning, which is why the delivery was late. Why didn't she tell me that when I booked it and we confirmed the delivery time??? Save yourself and your guests the hassle and stress and DO NOT BOOK ABBOTT AND SONS. I have never had such a poor experience with a vendor before in my life.
