Delivery of the furniture and linens were scheduled for 9 - 10 am (which would have left at least 2 hours for set up). However, when they did not show up by 10:00, we began to call Abbott and nobody was answering our calls. The rental truck and delivery guys showed up after 11:30 am! It was a disaster trying to get the 7 tables and 33 chairs unpacked and set up - while guests started to arrive! Guests helped unpack and set up chairs, set tablecloths and decor, get the food displayed on buffet tables, etc. It was embarassing to say the least. The delivery staff wanted to dump and leave the furniture and we insisted that they at least help us unpack the folded chairs! Furthermore, we scheduled for pickup later that day. When they showed up to pick up the furniture they were RUDE to the security doorman, refused to show identification, and moved past our security to go pick up the rentals from the party room! Our doorman called us in the apartment right away and was very upset. Upon raising all of these issues to Colleen at Abbott the day after the party, she confirmed that the delivery time of 9 - 10 basically became unrealistic to them, although they NEVER tried to contact us to let us know they'd be VERY LATE, let alone respond to our calls that morning! She then denied the whole other incident of pickup and not following our building's security and entry policy. She said she believed her delivery staff's side of the story rather than ours. Clearly Abbott and Sons has no concern or respect for the customer. They've offered no money back (which now comes as NO surprise from this company.) Well, at a cost of $400 for the rentals I guess they figured a TERRIBLE review of their company was worth it to them. DON'T USE THEM!!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!

We scheduled our rental furniture to be delivered between 9-10am the day of my baby shower, which started at 12pm. At 10:15am I gave them a call to see where they were because no one had shown up or contacted me yet, but they didn't pick up the phone or return my message. I had to call a second time and the officer manager, Coleen, wasn't aware of the late delivery. She said she would find out and give me a call back, but she never did. The delivery staff didn't arrive until 11:30am!!!!! and the furniture wasn't in the room until 11:45am--15 mins before the party started. By that time we already had guests arriving, and had to put them to work to set the tables and prep the room for our party. To say they totally ruined the morning and caused everyone a TON OF STRESS on what should've been a joyful and stress-free day for the party hosts AND guests would be an understatement. SUCH A DISASTER. Then, when they came to pick up the furniture at the end of the day, they didn't contact me to coordinate or be escorted (again) and were EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL to my building's receptionist/security guard. When he asked them for identification they refused to provide it, gave him terrible attitude, and pushed past him. Not only is this completely inappropriate and unprofessional, but it is a security concern. I tried to give Abbott and Sons the benefit of the doubt by calling Coleen the following day to ask for an explanation and apology. Not only did it take multiple phone calls and messages over the next few days for her to pick up the phone, she was defensive and denied that her staff would treat anyone that way. She also told me there was a scheduling conflict and they had multiple deliveries scheduled for the same time that morning, which is why the delivery was late. Imagine it's the day before your bridal shower. You're catering the entire event yourself. You've spent weeks planning, shopping, prepping food, coordinating staff, and making sure every detail is perfect. Now imagine the tables and chairs you paid for in full were supposed to arrive at 8:00 AM... and they simply never show up. No call. No email. No update. No response. I was told around 11am that they would arrive around noon, and Rachel Frankel told me to "have a rentastic day" and then went home for the day, neglecting to answer the "urgent matter" extension, as it continually hung up on us. By 7:00 PM the night before my bridal shower, we still had no rentals and no answers. My fiance ended up driving to their location and literally knocking on doors trying to find someone. A manager admitted they may have forgotten our order. We were then asked for payment AGAIN despite already being paid in full. The rentals finally arrived late, in pouring rain, completely disrupting our setup schedule and forcing us to hire additional help just to get everything ready in time. Our set up for my bridal shower was ultimately late, and the food couldn't be served at the intended time which was really irritating. What bothered me most wasn't even the late delivery--it was the complete lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. Not one proactive update. Not one sincere apology. The only thing they seemed concerned about afterward was getting me to remove my review on Google. Then, when they came to pick up, they parked on a busy road with nowhere to pull over, completely cutting off traffic, with the back of the box truck open. They tried carrying tables down 2 flights of cement stairs when we explicitly told them to go in the back multiple times where the items were right next to our parking lot. After me telling them for a third time to stop moving items on the cement steps because it is dangerous, they moved the truck, leaving the back OPEN, WITH ONE OF THE PEOPLE HANGING OUT OF THE TRUCK INSIDE HOLDING ALL THE TABLES?? Like, what insanity is that? There doesn't seem to be anyone managing this company effectively. If you're planning a wedding, bridal shower, baby shower, graduation party, or any event where timing matters, ask yourself: Would you be comfortable wondering at 7 PM the night before your event whether your tables and chairs are ever going to arrive? I wouldn't wish that stress on anyone. Choose a rental company that values communication and respects the importance of your event. I called Shane at Top Line on the recommendation of a friend. Shane came and looked at my backyard, which is on the small side, to figure out what my best options were. I was immediately impressed by his attention to detail. Shane's team came a few days before the party to set up. Each one of the guys were neat, friendly, professional and respectful of my property. The tables were strong and sturdy. Everything was clean. We had lights and fans set up with the tents and they did not leave until everything was perfect. The team came back a few days after the party to break everything down and again were neat and respectful of my property. To say that we were happy with Top Line Party Rentals is an understatement. The tent was delivered and setup 48 hours prior to the event which gave us plenty of time to setup the party. We were informed that the tent we had originally ordered was returned dirty so we were upgraded to a larger tent at no cost.
