Apartment hunting in NYC can be a painful ordeal, so it was refreshing to meet Mandy, our lovely broker and friend, on a hot summer afternoon. She showed my roommate and I a nice place, and then drove us to the place we fell in love with instantly. Everything was made easy from then on. They were patient with us, sent us everything we had to fill out, explained things clearly and set up our meetings with the landlord. We didn't even have to give them a penny (Mandy found us only no-fee apts.) which is why I feel compelled to write them this review. I hope I never have to move out again (yea right..), but if I do, I hope Rental Solutions is still around, and that Mandy still has my phone number! I'll even go further. I've seen other (hidden) reviews for this company on here saying how unreliable and unprofessional they were. In my experience, if you're nice to others, they'll be nice to you. Very bad experience, don't give Zalman your money. We paid him two months rent and a deposit totalling $3300. He decided that he didn't want to rent the apartment to us, and has yet to give us back the cash. Who does this, especially at this time. I would warn you against him. He starts off nice, and polite and then became rude and very unreasonable. He told me we would receive the money two weeks ago and it has yet to come. I believe this is a scam operation, and now I've got to go to the authorities to get the money back. read more

If you want to deal with people that are interested in you as a real person with interests and goals instead of just a credit score and checkbook--like so many other players in this crazy Brooklyn real estate game--talk to Roy. My wife and I decided to rent out our condo which is located near their offices...the process was fairly quick and helpful. The new tenants also said that it was an easy process which made us happy to know that they didn't have a bad taste in their mouth. The office manager Stella was great, I didn't interact with anyone else but her but I know that the agents that were showing followed out time restrictions and house rules. over all I will use them again because its good to stimulate the local businesses and also because they were good. Dave and the rest of the staff made it possible for us to jump on the perfect apartment immediately, while keeping everything smooth and stress free. We called Dave about a posting on a Saturday morning, and he met us within an hour to show the place. It was the perfect apartment for us--in a restored 1910s brownstone off the A in BedStuy--and he gave us advice and helped us do everything we needed to do to get the place within 48 hours. He always responded immediately to questions or worries we had. All this, and there was no broker fee on the renter side of things. Entire experience was awful. Agent was very late to appointment. Once we submitted an application for the apartment he showed us, we never heard back. We were in a hurry to find out whether we had gotten it, but neither the agent nor the office would even answer the phone or email to tell us if we'd gotten the apartment or not. To top it off, I accidentally left my pay stubs at the office, so I asked them to mail it back. They finally contacted me, after never having answered about the apartment, saying they could "defiantly" send them back. I waited for over a week until I followed up to ask about them. Again, no answer. Never dealing with these people again. read more
