Their website is incredibly outdated and frustrating to navigate. It looks like it came out the first year computers were made and hasn't been updated since. Even though Williamsburg and now Greenpoint are sort of embarassing and passe' and filled with hipster doofus rejects, I really like living here because there is really good vegetarian food and smiley elderly Polish people. Anywho, I was looking for an apartment for Nov. 1st in Williamsburg so I walked into Williamsburg Realty on October 5th and was approached by a friendly Austrian realtor T*(name withheld because he seemed like a nice person, just in a disorganized company) who offered to show me an apartment on the spot. I fell in love with the special apartment and put down a deposit. I thought my search was over. Happily! UNTIL... Almost 2 weeks later, this Realtor T* told me the "bad news" that the landlord of the apartment rejected my application and that a) there was nothing he could do and that b) sadly, he had no other apartments left in the area for a comparable price but "suggested I move to Queens." On a side note, when I visited this special apartment, a nice Mexican workman was doing repairs and the nice Realtor introduced him as "the apartment slave". I am certainly not politically correct by any means, but I felt like this comment was in very poor taste. And that he wasn't such a nice Realtor. WIlliamsburg Realty should not be allowed to take deposits for apartments until they are sure that their tenants do in fact have the apartment. It is so stressful and I do not recommend this agency. I had to scramble to find an apartment a week before my lease was up and Realtor T* never returned my calls when I asked him to recommend any apartments. Only when did I visit the agency and cry in front of the Realtor T* did he apologize to me for the stress his lack of communication had caused me. Lastly, anytime I went into Williamsburg Realty, everyone working there seemed gloomy and unfriendly. Just really bad vibes all around, but on a positive closing note, they did have nice pillows of a map of the world at the entrance which I wish I could go in and ask where they bought them but that might be a little AWKWARD considering the aforementioned incident! Wonderful realtor. You might have to be a little patient when it comes to seeing apartments (as there are not a lot of people working here), but in my experience it was worth the wait. The apartments Michele has access to are unlike the typical NYC apartment. They are owned by smaller landlords who actually take pride in their apartments. I had a great experience with Williamsburg Realty a few months ago. I was looking for places in Williamsburg and emailed a handful of realtors to see what they had to offer. Woody (a realtor with W-Realty) got back to me promptly with a few places to think about. What I liked about his style was he didn't pressure me into seeing anything I didn't want to, and was very honest with the listings. Once we found (a great) place, Woody was a big help in us meeting the landlord and getting everything finalized. Paying a Brokers fee is never ideal, but it helps when the person you're paying genuinely helped you through the process, and you could tell they had your back. read more

Michele is the absolute best, calmest, kindest broker you can find in New York. I first worked with her 14 years ago, and she found me the most beautiful apartment. After I returned from several years in California, I contacted Michele again immediately when I started my New York apartment hunt. Over a decade later, she once again found me the most GORGEOUS apartment. Michele's manner is totally unlike all other brokers. She's low-key, calm, and focused. She's not checking her phone and hustling you from one sad-ass apartment to the next. She takes time to talk with you to see what you're looking for, comes up with a curated selection of a few apartments to show you, and makes the whole rental process so calm. Additionally, Michele has lived and worked in the area for about 25 years, and personally knows all of the landlords she works with. She knows who will be a good landlord/tenant match, and can give much more insight into living situations than other brokers. I will use Michele again and again, though her listings are so wonderful and my apartment is so dreamy, I don't think I'll need her services for many more years! read more

What a waste of a great office location. These people seem totally apathetic about their business. I have called and left several voicemails, sent several emails regarding apartments that I was really interested in.... no response. They aren't in the office during business hours or on weekends. I would never rent a place from them until they get their act together. I am a 13-year resident of this neighborhood, willing to pay a broker fee for the right place, and there is no good reason for their lack of communication. read more

I just rented a great apt from here. I too had T..:) and I just love that guy!:) Yea he's a little nutty but that entertaining and besides, He's an artist and a damn good one. He's widely known in NYC. I was totally amazed to have him as my agent. He had a place i loved and I took it. Thats it. Came in to fill out an application. I figured I would have some options since they have dozens of postings on the window that fit my requirements. They said I would get a call from a broker the next day. No one got back to me. Not even to say nothing was available. I'm guessing the attractive postings on the windows are just props. read more

I found an apartment through Williamsburg Realty, but I wouldn't recommend working with them at all. Although the realtor told us she was good friends with the landlord, and "knew for a fact" our rent wouldn't be raised anytime soon, our rent was promptly raised. She also told us pets were allowed, which was a lie as well. The experience was extremely unprofessional and shady! read more

Woody at Williamsburg Realty helped me and my roommate get our DREAM apartment in Williamsburg. I found the listing/Woody through Craigslist and gave him a call. I had been cold-calling a lot of people through Craigslist and most were evasive or, alternatively, over-eager and calling me multiple times a day. Woody was great. He was always available to talk, worked fast, and was always punctual, kind, and professional. The apartment we were looking at was an extremely hot commodity. Every time we went to see it, there were many other people looking and wanting to apply. Woody was the BEST liaison though, compared to all the sleazy, overly aggressive Manhattan realtors. Woody is a neighborhood native. The landlord knew Woody personally and had worked with him before, so trusted him and, thus, trusted my roommate and I. When we were the first to apply, the landlord fairly accepted our application, despite the truly abhorrent pushiness/character defamation of some other realtors trying to get the landlord to lease to their clients. Woody guided us through the application process at record speed, was always available to answer our questions, and we were signing the lease the very next day! I attribute the renting of our BEAUTIFUL, AMAZING apartment wholly to Woody, who also got us the best financial deal! I've worked with other realtors in the past and have always felt they were an unpleasant but necessary aspect of the NYC apartment search. This experience completely changed my mind. We had a great experience with Williamsburg Realty and would not have our amazing apartment in Greenpoint without Bill and Michele. Bill was amazing at keeping us in touch with new places they got, always within the spec of what we were looking for, and it was through this that we were first to see an epic place. We were in a bit of a unique situation as had just moved from the UK and without Bill and Michele's patience and understanding we'd probably still be in an Air BnB looking for a place to call home. really, so awful. they were awful 4 years ago when i tried to use them for a cheap apartment in wburg and still awful now. i called to find an apt for an elderly friend of mine and she was rude and apathetic. even when being offered a potentially large commission.
