Unfortunately, my experience with Angelica Blotkevich and this brokerage was extremely disappointing. There was a complete lack of professionalism, poor communication, and low-quality service throughout the entire process. Emails often went unanswered, and calls were not returned in a timely or professional manner. We planned to sell our home through her; however, there were numerous mistakes, poor decisions, and unprofessional actions on her side throughout the process. The information provided to us was frequently inaccurate, outdated, or poorly communicated, which ultimately led us to terminate the contract and move forward separately. When we decided to end the agreement, we were unexpectedly sent a bill demanding payment for photographs and brochures that we never specifically requested. This situation felt very unprofessional and disappointing. This realtor was recommended to us by someone we had trusted and worked with for many years, which made the experience even more upsetting. In an unbelievably challenging housing market, Brick & Mortar LLC was a Godsend. After wasting several months with Redfin, we felt hopeless! Through this dark time, David Soltero reached out to me. Since I had become cynical of all real estate agents, believing they are all disingenuous and unproductive, I did not respond to his first attempt at teaming up with us. Eventually though his tenacity persevered. Our meet up with David and Rolan restored our faith in getting our house sold. We could immediately see that they were very genuine "salt of the earth" guys. They did not tell us what we wanted to hear but rather were extremely honest and realistic. Had we teamed up with David and Rolan sooner we are CERTAIN that we would have sold for substantially more than what we did. We know though that it was because of Redfin that we didn't get quite what we wanted, but it was because of David and Rolan that we still got a fair amount and were able to avoid financial disaster! There is no way to put into words all the work they did. They managed to strike the perfect balance of professionalism and human decency. Professionalism is always a priority, but when it's devoid of kindness and empathy it's not very helpful. David and Rolan clearly get that. We never had to wonder if they were working hard enough and it always felt like dealing with long time friends when we did interact with them. They put in hours upon hours staging the house both physically and virtually, showing the house, consulting with and advising us, in addition to making sure that everyone, from investors to personal buyers, were aware that our house was on the market. They were prompt in responding to us anytime we had any questions or concerns. Simply advertising on a website is one thing; David and Rolan went above and beyond to put in the personal footwork in order to ensure the sale of our house. Despite how badly the market continued to fare, they never let up and finally achieved the results we were hoping for. There were quite a few hiccups involving the house itself and opened permits that could have easily thwarted the sale. Never did David or Rolan dismiss our feelings or express irritation towards how difficult things were at times. They always kept a level head, reassured us and took decisive actions to mitigate any loss. Including researching, investigating other options and reaching out to other experts in the field, often things that were the responsibility of our attorneys. They never defaulted to "that's not my job" but always rolled up their sleeves and did what needed to be done! Their empathy went a long way in keeping us calm through a very very stressful time. They also did an excellent job mediating and communicating with the buyers in a way that would not disrupt the sale. They often diffused very volatile situations in a way many would not have been able to do. This is why I cannot emphasize enough that THIS IS NO LONGER A MARKET WHERE A HOME SELLS ITSELF,THIS IS NO LONGER A MARKET WHERE JUST ANYBODY CAN SELL YOUR HOUSE,THIS IS NO LONGER A MARKET WHERE YOU CAN CASUALLY CHOSE A REAL ESTATE AGENT! It's understandable at times to feel more drawn to a bigger corporation, who will have you believe that they are the only ones who can get it done. At this point in time though, that's not what is needed. What made the difference with Brick and Mortar was the fact that this is a private owned company with regular down to earth guys who ACTUALLY CARE about people and your best interest. A lot was at stake for everyone involved. David and Rolan were truly invested and it reflected in the way they operated. Though, as I mentioned previously, I had become a tad cynical after dealing with Redfin, I am so glad that I didn't let this prevent me from eventually teaming up with David and Rolan. David's tenacity won out where we were concerned and it was ultimately that same tenacity that got our house sold. The ONLY regret my husband and I have in dealing with them is not using their services MUCH earlier in the game. While there is no turning back time, we are peacefully living in our quiet home upstate without the expense or hassle associated with owning our house in the city, thanks to David and Rolan!!! We could not be more appreciative of their patience, hard work, diligence and expertise. We hope that others learn from our mistake and opt to go with Brick and Mortar from the get-go instead of waiting until they've dealt with the headache of a big corporation, who truly couldn't care less. We couldn't recommend Brick and Mortar- David and Rolan- enough, and are confident that they will continue to thrive in this ever challenging market because of the excellent approach that they take in navigating their clients through it! read more

Charged more than the allowed application fee back in 2019, and our agent kept trying to enroll us in dumbass "renter benefits" programs. One benefit being laundry credits -- when our apartment building had free laundry service (which he said it didn't). Oh, and the apartment itself had mice in the walls. Fun! Instead of just admitting that he forgot, he instead lied and said I was late and that he left, when I was in front of the apartment unit in my car for 15 min. I can't speak for the rest of that business but I'm not interested in using them ever again based on my experience. *UPDATE* The owner asks me to update my review and asks me what agent me and my friends dealt with. I share with him a screenshot of text message thread (this was in May by the way). And now the agent wants to email me back and accuse me of not telling the truth. When I show him the screenshots of the text convo of what he sent me and my roommate, he wants to act like it doesn't add up. News flash!! We contacted you from two different numbers! You were dealing with 2 roommates!! Stay away from these people. Incredibly unprofessional, and not once did they ever take fault for their mistakes. read more

I worked with Moin and Shalom to find my current apartment a little less than a year ago. It was a nightmare then, and the nightmare continues due to a careless mistake on the lease created by the agency. The saga started when my roommates and I were looking to fill the 4th bedroom in an apartment after we had lost a roommate due to strange clauses in the lease that was provided by the landlord. At that point, I had not even seen the lease as Moin and Shalom kept telling me they had already emailed it to me (they never did). My roommates and I patiently waited for them to fill the room, it took them until almost the last day of the month to find someone. That was when we finally got to see the landlords lease, which requested crazy things. we refused to sign it. Moin and Shalom both agreed that the lease was not standard and had strange clauses attached to it so they were able to get the landlord to agree to use the agency's standard lease. The standard lease they provided us with had the wrong Terms on it. The term was a 12-month lease, which was correct, but the beginning date was June 1st 2019 with an end date of July 31st 2020. That is CLEARLY not 12 months. We brought this to the agent's attention and they told us not to worry it would be fixed and they instructed us to sign the lease. Almost 12 months later here we are. My roommates and I are now stuck in a 14-month lease we did not sign up for due to the carelessness of the agents at Brick & Mortar. My roommates and I were all planning to move out at the end of May but now we are stuck paying for two extra months at our current apartment as the landlord is fighting us on the terms of the lease. I am overwhelmingly disappointed with my experience with the agents at this firm. I do not see Moin and Shalom listed as agents on the website anymore, however, if they still work for the agency I urge you to avoid working with them at all costs. In addition to their carelessness throughout the process, they acted inappropriately towards one of my roommates. read more
